Katie POV.
“Mommy Evelyn! Daddy William! Get your asses here,” I yelled at them, and they both ran down the stairs, they didn’t look too happy about me calling them by their names like that.
“What’s this about?” William asks me sounding angry.
“Don’t you dare yell at her,” Dylan says standing up for me, but I didn’t need them to stand up for me, I’m about to beat their asses.
“We forgot Tiger home!”I yell at them, we left Tiger behind, we have come here without him.
“Shit,” mommy mumbles.
“That’s not a reason to yell like that, Dylan, you up for a ride?” William asks in a firm voice.
“Sure, where am I going?” Dylan asks getting up on his feet, still holding me, refusing to let me go.
“Back to the farm, we left a cat there, along with the girl’s stuff, and a horse,” he says.
“The horse is coming too?” I ask him happily.
“We can’t just leave them behind, and I planned on giving you riding classes,” William says, okay, he’s not that bad after all.
“Okay,” I say happily, he’s not bad after all.
“Good thing you decided to keep him,” Dylan whispered in my ear and I giggled.
“I come with you?” I ask my new and favourite uncle.
“Yes,” Dylan says, and at the same time William says “No,” I looked at him with pouty eyes, I wanted to go, he was going to get my cat.
“It’s my cat,” I say out loud.
“And it’s your bedtime, you’re going to sleep, and when you wake up you’ll have your cat in the same room as you,” William promises me.
“Nu-uh, I’ll go with him and get my cat,” I say nodding my head yes.
“Nope, bed, now,” William says in a firm voice, I turned to my uncle hoping he’d help me here.
“Sorry little one, but he’s right, it’s gonna be a long ride, and I don’t think you’ll be very comfortable sleeping in the car, how about we meet up again tomorrow morning and you’ll get to meet your cat again,” Dylan promises me.
“Mommy,” I call as a final resort.
“You can sleep in my bed, and we can read all the stories you want,” mommy promises, when I’m little, I’m too little to read but I enjoy hearing the stories.
“But… Tiger,” I say on the verge of tears.
“Uncle Dylan would take great care of him, he’s a lazy cat, he’s probably sleeping,” mommy assures me.
“Nu call him lazy,” I say offended for my cat.
“Fine, he got selective energy,” she corrects herself and I nod my head.
“Do you want to be tucked in girls?” William offers, coming toward me to get me out of Dylan’s arms.
“I can do it if you want,” Dylan offers as well and I roll my eyes at them, I love attention, but not that kind of attention.
“Good night boys, see you in the morning,” Evelyn says coming toward me, she picked me up and moved toward her bedroom, she had a big princess bed, and it was very soft, as soon as she set me on the bed I started to jump, it was supper fluffy.
“Careful not to fall,” Evelyn warns as she gets me a story to read, she comes into the bed, and holds me tight as we cuddle, ready to sleep.
“The cat and the mouse,” she says reading the title of the story, I cuddled closer to her ready to hear the story until I could fall asleep. I managed to get mommy to sleep before I did, I didn’t call her out or wake her up, instead, I let her sleep, I’m still thinking of the chat I had with Dylan, he’s right, why am I here, I’m here for her happiness, and being here with her, it’s bringing me some joy as well, maybe William isn’t that bad after all.
I fell asleep on my own after a bit of time just laying there quietly, I woke up in the morning, to someone licking my face, I groaned and whined, who’s licking me? That’s very icky, I finally opened my eyes to tell whoever was doing that off, but saw that it was Tiger my kitty.
“Tiger,” I say happily, pulling the small orange and black tabby into my arms, and hugging it tight.
“The cat needs to breathe too,” William’s voice says making me jump up in the bed and turn to him with big eyes.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you, but as promised your cat is here,” he says with a big smile on his face.
“Attack Tiger,” I whisper to my cat who just relaxes in my arms ready to take his first nap of the day.
“That cat only attacks the treat bag, baby, if you want an animal that attacks on order, you need a dog,” mommy mumbled waking up yawning, and stretching, she then turned to me and showered my face with kisses.
“God I love you,” mommy says kissing me some more.
“Hey, I want some love too,” William says coming toward us, he sits on the bed next to me and pulls me for a hug too, and then he hugs mommy too.
“Ahh! My sweet girls,” he says kissing the two of us now.
“Ready to move in officially?” he asks us.
“We are already here,” I say reminding him that we’re already in here, we have moved in.
“I mean, getting all of your stuff in here, not just the cat,” William says.
“We’re happy to have the cat,” I say happily.
“I’m glad, now why don’t we go and get the rest of your stuff?” William offers.
“We left all your favourite paci at home, and I have some stuff that I want to get,” mommy says and I nod.
“Okay,” I agree with her, we should go and get our stuff.
“Breakfast first, and then we’ll stop by the school,” William says, the school is where we left everything that we owned.
“Is Uncle Dylan coming?” I asked him, I loved that uncle.
“Nope, but we can drag him if you want to,” William says and I did want to drag him, I nod.
“Come on, let’s go get him,” William says picking me up and running to the other side of the house, it’s the side that’s not meant to be ours, it’s the side that belongs to his brother, Dylan.
He opened the door wide open and walked in, there was a figure sleeping on the bed, and he walked toward it, he threw me on top of whoever was on the bed and I knew it was Dylan.
“Uncle! Uncle! Wake up,” I say shaking him awake, he groaned and whined.
“What is it?” he asks waking up grumpy.
“Wake up, we’re moving in,” I say hugging him tight, he hugged me back, but he’s trying to go back to sleep.
“You have moved in yesterday, I even got the cat, and he gave me one hell of a fight, he scratched me three times,” Dylan groans.
“So maybe the cat does know how to attack,” daddy says with a chuckle.
“We’re getting our stuff,” I explain to my uncle.
“I can send you one of my guys, or even better, I’ll send my brother with you,” Dylan says making me giggle.
“I want you to come,” I ask him nicely.
“For you, anything,” Dylan says getting up from the bed, he handed me back to William and kicked us out so he could get dressed and ready for the day as well.
Mommy helped me wear my clothes and get changed, I then helped her pick her clothes and wear them too, she kept on telling me she doesn’t need help, but she’s a little just like me, and littles needs to have help while getting dressed.
“Daddy can you help me at least, I don’t want to hurt her,” mommy says worried that I might fall on top of her while helping her wear her shirt.
“Fine, sit down princess, I’ll do the work,” William says getting in the middle, he brushed her hair and styled it for her today.
“Do you need help?” we both ask him deciding to help him.
“No girls, thank you, I’ll do it,” he assures us, going toward the bathroom to hide from us.
Once we were all done, we got ready to go down for breakfast, we had a quick breakfast today, ready to go home and get everything.
“Is Tiger coming?” I ask them worried about little cat.
“No, he can wait for us to come back,” William says in a firm voice.
“We’re just going to get the rest of our stuff, the cat would be waiting,” Mommy assures me as well.
“Okay, I ride with uncle Dylan,” I say after making sure that my cat was fine, I ran toward Dylan and held tight to him.
“Yes, she rides with me,” he says running out with me, he didn’t have the stupid seat in his car, I got to sit alone, he started to drive toward the school, we used to live there, although most of the students live there while they learn and until they graduate, they are forced to live there while for us it’s all optionals.
Uncle Dylan drove right in, ignoring the security, he parked the car and waited for the other car to get over here, he might have been driving like a crazy guy, going above the speed limits, but we made it here first.
“So how do you feel about officially moving in?” Uncle Dylan asks.
“I’m happy about it,” I say.
“I’m sorry if I was too mean to you yesterday, I’m worried about my brother, he might be my older brother, one of the acient, but he got a soft spot when it comes to the girl he loves, I didn’t want him to get hurt, or for you to get hurt by him either,” he explains to me.
“I’m not going to hurt him,” I assure him.
“I know you won’t, you’re too nice for that, but if he dares to hurt you, I’ll deal with him,” he says to me with a wink making me smile.
