NALEDI’S POV
“I don’t think it’s a good idea to have the goods brought back to Tokyo.” A voice said, “Caellum Morello already knows we did it. It’ll be stupid to take the risk of shipment or any form of transportation. I strongly think it is better to get rid of the goods and have the money sent back.”
I was once again privileged to eavesdrop on a juicy conversation, while I lay on what felt like a bed, acting like I was yet to awake.
“Caellum is weak. I’ll raise hell on him and the Cosa Nostra if he tries doing anything stupid.” The arrogance that dripped from that voice told me exactly whose it was. “As much as I would like to bring it by ship, I agree with you on the fact that money would be a bit safer.”
“Besides, I have my own shipment coming in shortly. I just signed off the deal and very soon we would be getting our store filled. The other shipment could be sold in other territories.”
“Get men who are ready to partner with the Yakuza and share it amongst them. I don’t want anything to fail. By the end of this month, I expect to have the proceeds sitting pretty on my desk. Do you understand?”
“Yes sir.”
“You can leave.”
I didn’t open my eyes until I heard the firm shut of the door. I knew Draken knew I was hearing him speak so I didn’t bother to act like I didn’t. It’ll only further complicate matters. The last thing I needed in this situation.
“You are awake?” He sounded more like a statement than a question.
“What’s with me waking up in the company of people speaking over my head?” I sat up on the couch, stretching my neck.
Draken walked towards me. “You confuse me, Attai.”
I didn’t blink. What’s with him this time?
“You saved the woman to prevent her from getting killed by Ezra.” He started, heading over to a bar by the side of his office, and bringing out a bottle of wine, drinking straight from the bottle.
“And then you turned the other way and killed her.” My heartbeat stopped.
I didn’t. There was no way I killed her. There was no way I killed Korah.
“And now you have that look on your face that makes me think you didn’t mean it. But your results prove otherwise. What are you trying to do, Attai?”
I felt destabilised. Unable to speak. I killed her.
“Talk to me!” He threw the bottle against the wall and I nearly jumped out of my skin. “I need to know what you are thinking! I need to know you are not trying to kill me like you killed her! Like you killed my father!”
I got on my feet, feeling a bit of dizziness when he dragged me flush against him. “I want to know you. It feels like I have lost touch with you and what you can do. I want to open you up and see what the hell goes on in your fucking mind every moment of the day!”
His arms tightened possessively around my waist with every word he spoke. He was crazy, mad. I knew it was only a matter of time before he killed me for not knowing what my motives were.
So I did the next best thing. I let my lips cover his own in a rough kiss. Draken seemed taken by surprise. He froze against me for a couple of seconds before he took over the kiss.
Taking my mouth in a possessive way. I let myself pretend for a minute that I was kissing Caellum. That he was the one pushing me towards the couch in a rough kiss and tearing the clothes off me.
In one minute, I was standing, kissing the devil of a man and the next minute I was lying on the couch, my legs spread wide as he ate me out like a hungry lion.
Draken’s face against my cooch felt so wrong and yet so right. In a matter of minutes, I was crashing against him, shaking in sweet fervour as I exploded while he lapped up my juices like a hungry man.
As soon as I was out of my high, I got up and dropped on my knee, unbuckling his belt in a bid to return the favour. Draken was erect, alright. His hand palmed my head as I stroked his mediocre dick, ready to begin my job when his phone rang.
I stiffened and for the first time in our reaction, I met his eyes. He looked delighted, happy. I wish I could say the same but I corked my brow when he suddenly stepped away and reached for his phone.
On looking at the caller ID, I knew that there was no way we were continuing our little fun. Thank Goodness. Draken looked split between options and I must have rejoiced too soon because he beckoned on me, silently urging me to continue.
I reached for his dick, but he shook his head and mouthed the word, “Open.” It was then that I knew he was trying to get me to suck him while he answered his phone.
The height of degradation. I wasn’t a fucking fan of it. But seeing him place his phone on the desk, incall and on loudspeaker, I decided to take my chances. Who knew? Maybe I’d be lucky enough to land another piece of information on the whereabouts of Caellum shipments, or better still, more information on his supposed shipments.
I gave him the blow job of the century. Which was quite easy seeing I had seen better lengths. I fucking made choke sounds just to blow on his ego. He had nothing on me.
Midway through the session, he hung up on the fucker that called him and that was how I knew I had done a number on him. He exploded in my mouth minutes after, letting out a guttural growl with it. I was sure that the whole estate must have heard him cum.
He was that loud.
I swallowed without being asked, I was going to have a field day hunched over my toilet seat all night long. When I met Draken’s eye, I could tell that something changed. He looked at me with a lot more longing and dare I say, need.
However, his phone started ringing again and this time, he stepped away from me and went into what I thought to be the bathroom to answer the call. I quickly got dressed, ready to call it a day when I realised the door was locked.
The fucker.
I had to stay in this fucking room until he deemed it time for me to leave. I was a master at compartmentalizing. Picking the best out of situations and finding humour in everything in life. But I was exhausted and I had a lot of boxes to unpack in my last twenty-four hours.
I fucking needed a break from the nightmare that was my life.
When Draken took his sweet time in the bathroom I reckoned was soundproof because there was no way he could be that quiet. I applied that theory to his office and I figured that was why he was comfortable being so loud.
I could be wrong. But I wasn’t about to verify that shit. Instead, I made good use of my time and pivoted towards the shelf by the side of his office, going through the files sorted with their use on the spines.
My eyes stopped at a file, earmarked ‘goods’. Just when I made to reach for it, I heard the door open and I withdrew my hand. Draken had walked into the office.
