We were just getting to the good part

NALEDI’S POV
The past fifteen hours were gruesome.
Draken always found a new way of tormenting me as the days passed. I was left alone in my prison room with enough time to stew on my decisions as he commanded.
The only thing my stay in with pain did was to reaffirm my commitment to killing the fucker the moment things started looking up. Which I believed would be not so long from now.
It was morning already and I was ready to begin my job. I half expected Draken to check in on me but he was a fucker full of surprises. As soon as the pain left me, the only thing I could think about was Korah.
I needed to make sure that she was still alive and breathing.
When I walked out of the room, the guards were outside, but I ignored them and made my way to work with them following behind me. When I got to the place, I saw Draken’s car parked in front of the building and hastened my steps.
“Where is he?” I asked when I got into the prison.
Ezra made an appearance. “You are better.” He stated and it took everything not to launch at him for the pain he sponsored me.
“You did a perfect job. I ended up on bed rest for fifteen hours.” Sarcasm dripped from my tone. “I want to see the Alpha.”
His eyes roamed around my form. “The Alpha is busy.”
“I know he’s here.” I said, “His car is outside.”
“You don’t want to see him.”
The implications of his words dawned on me.
“Besides, he asked not to be disturbed no matter the circumstances.”
Korah.
“Take me to him.” My tone left no room for refusal.
Ezra took me to the place – the deepest parts of the prison. We got to a point and there was another gate made of steel, opened and croaking. It led to the underground and I could hear in humane sounds coming from the place.
I proceeded down the place with my heart in my throat, while Ezra led us down the barely lit stairs. At the end of the stairs was another door which was opened with one of Draken’s guards standing by it.
“Arghhhhh!” I heard Korah’s screams loud and clear.
She sounded like she was being tortured. Immediately I pushed past Ezra and stepped into the place. Nothing prepared me for the sight of Korah hung upside down with chains holding her legs, hands and neck to the wall.
Draken stood in front of her with an electric Iron in hand. Half of her face was burnt with an iron-shaped scar that marred her skin. He turned around and a wicked smile drew on his face when he took me in.
“Attai! Good of you to join the party!” He embraced me and smacked his lips on mine. “I see you are well enough to begin your task of the day. I was a bit bored of handling things myself when you came in.”
I was too busy taking in the pitiful situation Korah was in. Naked, beaten to a pulp, brutalized, when I saw the blood that dripped down her thigh, I felt like puking.
Forceful entry. Did they try…
“I know it looks beautiful, but this bitch secured herself so that anyone who tried to have their way with her is reduced to a pile of dust,” Draken said in my ears and his odour made me cringe.
He suddenly turned around and connected his eyes with Ezra. “I have been waiting to see if you will be able to get around whatever spell she placed in her pussy. I can’t lose another one of my men because she has a fiery pussy.”
Ezra’s lips twitched in a smile, while my blood boiled at the ridiculousness of things. “I’m afraid that is a natural composition of a fire elemental. There is no way around it.”
Draken’s face fell at his words. “Since it can’t be helped, I believe there are other creative ways we could get around making her regret her choices.” He gauged me with fond eyes. “Care to show us a little example, Attai?”
No. I said within me, praying he would just magically let me be.
“The Attai I know would never shy away from an opportunity to get even. Especially to scums like this who bite the hands that feed them.” He spoke into my ears, circling me like a darned prayer.
“Besides, I think I am due for a long-needed display of your talent in the pits.” He handed me a knife. “Do it, Attai.”
I looked between Korah and the knife before me. I didn’t want to do it. I couldn’t do it. Draken didn’t like my delay. I could tell from his next words.
“It isn’t a request, Attai.” He reminded, tapping his foot.
I picked up the knife in his hand and clutched it tight.
“Good girl.” he patted my hair, “Now let’s see what you can do.”
All eyes were on me. It seemed like it had been pre-conceived before I got here. He was trying to test me. I tightened my hands around the knife and proceeded forward.
At that moment, Korah looked up, breathing harshly. I zeroed my mind and immediately went at her with the knife. I aimed first for her leg, digging deep into her thighs.
A loud scream made its way from her throat, shaking the entire place. I wore a stone-cold mask over my face as I said the words, “That’s for attacking me, bitch.”
I twisted the knife in her thigh and her eyes widened in pain. By the time I dragged out the knife from her thigh, her legs were bleeding over her naked body.
The eyes on me increased, but I didn’t care. I was far too gone now. I needed to show him that I was on his side, that I was still the stone-cold killer he knew me to be. Maybe that would make him a bit more trusting of me.
My eyes roamed Korah’s form and the next second I impaled my knife on her right rib, dangerously close to her kidney. How did I know? I had done this a gazillion times, always working when trying to get valuable information from spies.
I didn’t miss the sharp intake of breath across the room. Perhaps they didn’t think I was going to go this far. Perhaps they thought me to be the devil incarnate for treating someone who I had worked so closely with in such a manner.
Whatever they thought, I didn’t care. I continued my assaults, stabbing her every and anywhere I could think of until my eyes found a perfect spot in her neck. I hesitated for a minute, breathing harshly with widened eyes.
“Don’t stop now, Attai.” Draken slurred, “We were just getting to the good part.”
I turned around and spotted the glint in his eyes. It seemed like he was having the time of his life, he didn’t think I could do it. That was all the fuel I needed to do the darned thing.
With the fierceness of an angry lion, I struck my knife in her neck and twisted painfully. Blood poured out and silence covered the place. I dragged out my knife, ready to make the second strike when I suddenly couldn’t move my arm.
I turned around and Ezra’s eyes flashed a pale white colour. While Draken looked like he couldn’t believe it. Suddenly a sharp pain pricked my side and I doubled over, holding my side and wincing.
“Take her out of here! Save the girl!”
