What are you doing here?

NALEDI’S POV
This man was sick in the head.
I shook my head vehemently at his words. “Of course not.” I softened my facial expression, wearing one of remorse at what I had done.
It was quite hard, seeing all I felt about the death of the former Yakuza Don was joy – utmost joy and a sense of accomplishment. Not that I was going to share it with Draken, seeing I wasn’t trying to kill myself.
I opted for a reply I thought would make him a lot happier. “If it makes you comfortable and you want to stay here, there’s nothing I can do about it. Even though it’ll be much more comfortable to have our own room. You are in charge.”
See what I did there? Basically inflating his ego while sprinkling in a bit of my opinion. There was no way I could sleep here. A major part of the ghost of my past was born in this very room.
No, thank you very much.
“I will stay here.” He finally says, much to my disappointment. “However, you will have the next room. I don’t like people in my space.”
I fought the grin that threatened to break out from my lips.
“Don’t be mistaken, Attai. You will meet my needs in this very room. At every point in time.”
I swallowed. I can live with that.
My body felt fully rested and I stretched. My stomach growled and he heard it. A snarl followed. “That’s what you get for sleeping two days straight!”
I froze. What the flipping fuck?
“Go to your room, you will be getting dinner there.” I knew better than to dig into his every word. Besides, he wasn’t the only one who needed space.
I marched out of the room, and only when I closed the door behind me that I release my breath. That somehow managed to feel more intense than ever.
My eyes moved on instinct and I spotted the cameras situated around the hallway. This was a recent development. There were hardly any cameras in the Alpha’s hall.
As at the time when Draken’s father ruled, he frowned against having cameras around him, I figured it had something to do with the terrible things he did with women on this very floor but for what he lacked in surveillance camera he made up for it in guards.
Layers and lots of security personnel made it hard for anyone to penetrate without getting caught. At the time, seeing him was a hassle, and I figured that played to my advantage, giving me ample time to kill him and leave before anyone could realise what happened.
Good old days.
I got to the front of my door and it was locked, requiring a fingerprint scan. I placed my thumb and was startled when the door clicked open. How did this bastard get my fingerprints?
The door pushed open and a perfectly dressed room stared right at me. The whole shebang if you asked me. If only it was somewhere other than this place. Unfortunately, no matter how beautiful it was, it was a prison nonetheless.
I still couldn’t access my powers due to the fucking band on my wrist. My next mission was to get this shit removed from me. I walked into the ensuite bathroom and sure enough, the place was flawless.
After my bath, I dressed and walked out to the smell of bacon in the air. My stomach rumbled yet again and I found my tray of food sitting pretty on the table beside my bed.
How the hell did they get inside the room? I thought as I sat down to eat my food. After the meal, I decided to head out. A side of me was prepared just in case the doors were locked and I couldn’t leave.
The last thing I needed was to get my hopes up only to be dashed again by another round of Captivity. Luckily, that was not the case. I stepped out of the door but sure enough, two guards were standing right outside.
Surprise!
My face morphed into a frown I didn’t care to hide. Their indignation against me was not hidden either. “Is there a problem?” I ask when they refuse to get out of my way.
“The Boss had ordered we are to be with you anywhere you go and you don’t leave the manor.”
I rolled my eyes. Typical of Draven, the insecure little bitch.
“Good thing I had no plans of leaving the place. If you can point me in the Alpha’s direction, I will be very grateful.” My tone reeked of sarcasm.
The last thing I would do was to be civil with them. The only person I could kiss up to at the moment was Draven, and that was until I had gotten the information I needed, as well as carried out my plans.
Besides, it wasn’t like the members of the Yakuza were happy to see me, I was just returning the favour, albeit at a more intense propensity but no one seemed to mind.
The men didn’t care to say a word. They led the way while I watched their flat buttocks, murmuring behind them, knowing they could hear every word I said but didn’t have the balls in them to call me out on it.
It was a good start to the day if you asked me.
We walked through the familiar hallways until we were in the living room. The house had a lot of sitting rooms. Much more than I could count on my fingers.
The manor was an estate, belonging to the Yakuza’s. Each building had a purpose and housed members of the mafia pack. The Alpha building was the biggest and most frequented for obvious reasons. However, the restrictions placed on the floors ensured that everything was going according to plan.
I sighted Draken at the same time he noticed me. He was seated in one of the cushions with some suited men, going through some papers. Talk about bad timing.
“Attai..” His tone was low and warning, “What are you doing here?”
“I needed to have a word with you but I figured it could wait.” I turned around, ready to make my way out but his words stopped me.
“Join me. It’s about time I introduced you as my bride anyway.” I couldn’t see his face but I was sure he looked smug as hell.
I turned around with a shy smile, “You are busy. Don’t let me distract you.”
That was a lie. The last thing I needed was anyone getting the wrong impression. But it was too late for that now.
“I didn’t know you had a wife, Yakuza.” One of the suited men said with an American accent. “That settles all our concerns then. The Capital Oil will be happy to have you on board.”
A smile made its way to his face as he stretched his hand for a warm handshake. “Thank you so much.”
With that, they got on their feet, exchanged a bit of pleasantries and made their way out of the place, leaving Draken behind. I felt like a shithole.
Did I just help Draken close a fucking deal?
The light in his eyes when he turned to me told me all I needed to know.
