Nasty piece of shit

LUKA’S POV
“Morello’s men just left the property.” One of my men informed me over the phone.
“And?”
“It was as you predicted. They knew about the cave.”
A smile plastered on my lips. “That dog. Did you do as I instructed?”
“Yes sir. The remaining girls were taken to the farm.”
“Good job. All of you. I’ll be sending you a little something afterwards.” I hung up the phone and took a large drink from my cup.
Caellum Morello was a fool. As was anyone who thought they could get in the way of my business. I picked up the microchip found in my office and a wave of anger hit me.
There was a rat in my turf. And all attempts at figuring out who it is has failed drastically. Thereby hindering my business. When I found the chip, I was in the middle of a serious business transaction.
I’d invited my client over to discuss the details of our business as per usual when they found the chip. It took a while to convince them I was as surprised as they were but it only made me lose even more face.
The words of my client never left my head since that faithful day.
You can’t even hold up on your own. This is a mistake.
Billions of dollars down the drain with that line that displayed my incompetence at handling business. The worst part was he wasn’t wrong. I couldn’t even tell how the chip got into my office in the first place, neither could I tell how long it has been there.
All of which made me angry to date.
Finding out I could play the whole thing to my advantage soothed my anger a little, and discovering Caellum was at the other end of the chip made things a bit more bearable.
Judging from his delayed actions, It was clear it hadn’t been so long before the chip was planted. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be alive. That narrowed down my search by a few months.
Currently, my private investigator was going through the database of every employee in my club, with hopes of finding the culprit. Thinking of the many ways I’d make him pay for such betrayal and the losses caused made me feel alive.
Double points if it was a human and a female. She’d be the perfect addition to my stash. I’d make her regret accepting to work with anyone other than myself.
The ringing of my phone dragged me off my thoughts. Amara Cordel. I felt my non-existent heart leap at the sight of her name. My little wonder woman.
“Hello love,” I said in the most charming voice I could muster. “Did you miss me?”
Silence. I pulled the phone wondering what was wrong before I heard her speak.
“I hate to admit, but yes. You seem to have lost interest in me.”
My eyes widened at the flirt in her tone.
“Who are you and what have you done to my partner?”
“Come pick me up…” She slurred, and I was even more confused.
“Are you drunk?”
A beep sound signalled the end of the call, and immediately, a text dinged into my phone. A location. From the looks of it, it seemed like a hotel. My hotel.
I got up the couch and had a shower, dashing out the door with my car key. Maybe a night with Amara Cordel is what I need to get my brains working.
*****
I arrived at the hotel and as expected, it was one of the De Luka’s.
Without further ado, I headed for her room number, nursing all sorts of thoughts, as I knocked on the door. The door opened and there she was, looking hot in a transparent nightie.
“Luka.” She said with a smile and ushered me in. “Such a pleasure to finally meet you.”
I heard the door lock behind me and a cold feeling washed over me. Something was terribly wrong. “What’s going on?” I asked, stepping backwards.
“Oh, there’s no need to run. You can’t leave this room. It’s been spelled.”
Her smile brought chills out of my body. When she picked up a dagger knife, playing with the tips as she stepped closer to me, I knew I had to act on instinct.
With a speed of light, I rushed for her neck with elongated fangs, ready to finally have a taste of her sweet blood.
Argggh!
Her scalding hot body threw me back, hurting my fangs and sending me to the floor. My eyes widened as I realised something was terribly wrong.
“Who are you?!” I roared as I moved backwards, fear creeping in, “What are you, Amara? Who sent you?!”
“You know, for someone who is so obsessed with Amara, it’s disappointing how easy it was to fool you.” With a snap of her finger, she transformed into another woman. One I couldn’t recognize. “Nasty piece of shit.”
“W-who are you? W-what do you want? I’ll give you anything. I have money. Lots of it, Just name your price.” I stuttered as my back hit the floor.
The room suddenly grew hot, so hot my skin started peeling. Was she a witch? I thought those were extinct. How did she know I was a vampire? Who sent her?
“You mean the money you made from selling helpless women and children? The guts you have to throw that in my face!”
With her anger, my heart felt like it was on fire. like I was going to combust in any second.
“Please! Spare my life! Don’t kill me..” I begged, coughing up my dinner.
“I’ll ask you just once. One wrong answer and I get to end you. And trust me, that will fucking make my day.” She said with an evil smile.
She meant every word.
“Where did you take the girls to?”
My eyes widened, and anger eroded me. “Who sent you? Caellum?”
My heart was on fire. Literally.
I tumbled on the floor, trying to put it out to no avail. “Please! Dont-”
“Let’s try that again, shall we?” Fire shot out of her eyes as she roared. “Where are the fucking girls?!”
“The farm… The farm… please…” Those were the last words I remembered before it turned dark.
