Stella POV.
“Are you going to tell me who really has hit you that badly?” Alpha Nathan asked me as we waited.
“An ex did it,” I answer him honestly.
“Why didn’t you tell your alpha, he’d be more than happy to save you, I heard your pack got two young alphas on their land now, it’s weird,” he says with a shrug.
“Why weird? Maybe the other alpha needed help,” I say, knowing too well that James told me that an alpha dies with their pack, so they don’t move on to another one.
“An alpha falls with its ship, something made that one jump ships, I bet it’s something big,” he says with a shrug.
“Do you really want to know? Why don’t you go ask them,” I say sounding offended, I’m the reason he jumped ships, he’s not a coward.
“That would be rude child,” he says with a shrug.
“And asking me is fine?” I say with a raised brow at him.
“I’m just curious,” he says with a shrug, I decided to stay quiet until my alpha gets here, and come get me.
I stayed here for over thirty minutes, I had some more small chats with alpha Nathan, he told me about his pack a bit, that he runs a tight ship and no one is allowed out of his pack land, no matter what, unlike me who managed to sneak out, only if he knows.
“Does he always takes forever to get here?” I ask him.
“If it was me, and he called m to go get one of mine, I’d make them wait,” he answers me.
“Why? So they’d feel abandoned?” I answer him with too much sass.
“No, but because what they image I would do to them is a lot worse than what I would do,” he answers me with a shrug.
“That’s evil,” I answer him.
“Thank you, I try,” Alpha nathan says with the same evil smile on his face.
“You’re enjoying this way too much,” I say shaking my head at him but he just laughed at me.
“At least you’re laughing old friend,” I heard alpha Jayden voice coming from the door, and I got up and ran toward him, I hugged him as tight as possible, I know we’re not that close, but seeing him made me feel much better.
“Are you okay?” he says engulfing me in his arms.
“I’m okay,” I assure him.
“Thank you for finding her,” alpha Jayden thank his friend.
“If she means so much for you Jayden, put her on a leash, I find that it helps with ones who are as young as her,” alpha Nthan says, and I growled, not nice.
“Shush,” alpha Jayden whisper in my head.
“Why the growling? I thought we became friends,” Alpha Nathan laughs at me yet again.
“Can we leave now?” I ask them with a big pout.
“Thank you again for saving what’s ours, I owe you one, we’ll be on our way,” alpha Jayden says ready to leave with me in his arms now.
“Jayden, why does she smell of vampires? Do we need tow worry?” he asks before we got the chance to leave the office.
“Some vampires are running around our pack, keep your eyes out,” Alpha Jayden says and the other one frowns, not too happy about it.
“Thank you for the heads up, keep your puppy close, who does she belong to?” alpha Nathan asks him, and I looked up at alpha Jayden waiting to know if he’d tell him the turth or not.
“My boy, Milo,” he answers and I blushed.
“Future Luna, you got a good one on your hand, she’s all feisty,” alpha Nathan says with a smile on his face.
“Thank you,” I say and push alpha Jayden out of the office.
“We’ll talk later, maybe this weekend? Barbecue?” alpha Nathan suggests.
“Deal,” Alpha Jayden says and finally we got out of the office.
“Is Milo going to kill me?” I ask him as we got inside of his car.
“Milo? I don’t think so, but you better hide from James for at least a day or two,” he answers me.
“I was kidnapped,” I answer him.
“So it’s our fault?” he asks me.
“A bit,” I say with a shrug, they didn’t keep me safe, and they allowed the vampires to kidnap me.
“We’re sorry we allowed them to kidnap you, but why did you cut the bond with your wolves? Why didn’t you let them hear where you were going?” he asks me.
“I didn’t think it worked, and even Wolfie was ignoring me,” I whined.
“Girl you’re stronger than you know,” he says with a shake to his head.
“Huh? Is that a bad thing?” I say not understanding what he meant, so what if I’m a strong girl?
“It’s bad when you don’t know how strong your wolf is, you kept everyone out, including your own wolf and that’s why they couldn’t hear you,” he explains to me.
“Ohhh… are they mad at me?” I ask him.
“No, they are worried, and the vampires, we need to deal with them,” he answers me.
“How do we deal with vampires?” I ask him.
“We knew you were missing, and then we tried to find you, we attacked two cars that they possibly could have you in, but we couldn’t find you, not in any of the cars, we were going insane, what if they took you by foot and we’re attacking cars,” he answers me.
“They threw me in the trunk,” I say with a shrug, like it was nothing.
“How did you get away stella?” the alpha asks me, as he got inside the pack lands, I’m going to meet my two wolves anytime now, any moment, I’m waiting to see them.
“I kicked the trunk, I think I did enough damage until they took me into another car,” I say with a shrug.
“And then?” he asks me.
“They fought, Theo and the girl Alaina, they locked me in and went at each other’s necks, and that’s when I got away,” I answer him.
“Before I hand you off to the kids, how did you end up with alpha Nathan? He’s a good guy, I trust him, I don’t mind the fact that you spent time over his place, but how did you get there?” he asks me confused.
“I ran down the road away from the fight, a truck passed by and it was my only chance, one of his guys gave me a ride,” I answer him honestly.
“Stella, keep that part to yourself, don’t tell my son or James about it,” he says parking the car, and before he could turn it off the door opened and I was pulled into two set of strong arms.
“I’m okay,” I assure them both, but they didn’t listen to me, they kissed my face all over, they hugged me, they took deep breath around my neck, taking my smell, and setting theirs over my body.
“I’m okay,” I assure them again, but they weren’t listening to me, just too busy hugging me, so I gave in and allowed them to hug me until they had their fill.
“Is my mom okay?” I ask them, I remember what the other lady who was talking to mom made her act like she didn’t hear me at all.
“She’s fine,” Milo says, with a shrug.
“What happened to her?” I ask them.
“The vampires had her under their spell, they could control the humans, and they could make them not hear or not feel what other people around them are doing,” James explains to me.
“But she’s okay?” I ask them both again, now that I understood why she was ignoring me.
“She has a killer headache, your brother and Calesti are home with her, she’ll be fine tomorrow,” Milo tells me.
“Okay,” I say finally believing them.
“Can I go home? I need a shower,” I ask them.
“He have hurt you, one day he’s going to fall in my arms and I’m going to beat his ass for it,” Milo growls.
“And when he’s done, I’m killing him,” James ads and I chuckled at them both.
“You two are the worse, now home, and a shower,” I say again.
“Sure, let’s go,” Milo finally says, they didn’t allow me to walk, they carried me the whole way toward my home, since dad wasn’t home yet and mom knew about them two, we walked right through the door.
“What happened to you Stella?” Mom asks, she looked like hell, like she’s been sick for a month or two.
“Nothing mom, I’ll be fine,” I assured her.
“Stella, I have a horrible headache, so don’t lie to me girl,” mom scolds me.
“Fine, I was kidnapped, I ran away, and now I’m back home before dinner,” I answer her.
“Cici, take my daughter upstairs, help her shower,” mom orders Cici, we both went toward my room, but we stood up the stairs to listen to them talking.
“You two need to find a better plan than whatever you got going on,” mom scold them both, and they were both quiet, two alphas who are too afraid of my mother.
“We’re doing our best, but she’s stronger than she knows, and she had us both locked out,” Milo groans.
“Two alphas, she’s a baby for god’s sake, deal with her,” mom says in a scolding voice.
“We’ll make sure not to let her out of our sight again,” James assures mom.
“I’ve been talking to my brother, he said that when vampires hold a scent of someone, they don’t let it go,” Mom says.
“Your brother?” James asks.
“Yes, I have an older brother, he’s mated to an alpha south,” Mom answers, my uncle is mated to an alpha!
“She has an uncle that’s a Luna,” Milo says confused.
“That’s what he said they call him,” Mom says with a shrug.
“I have a suggestion,” I say still standing up the stairs.
“Stella,” mom says looking at me angrily.
“What if we go visit uncle? They’ll be looking for us here, they don’t know I have an uncle, I don’t even know I have an uncle,” I suggest.
“I’ll ask him,” Mom says nodding.
“It’s an idea, but we need to ask about their pack, if they don’t like ours, it’s off the table,” Milo says.
“If they go, we’re going,” Finn says and Cici nods.
“Check the pack, I’ll check if my brother is up for some family reunion,” Mom agrees with us.
