Milo POV.
Fighting with my mates is the worst pain ever, it’s the worst kind of fighting, I hate fighting with anyone that’s this close to me, especially my mates, my two mates. Theo has walked out on us, I tried talking to him, I tried begging him for forgiveness, but he ignored me, he ignored all my calls, all my words but he didn’t want to come back.
‘Fuck you, you’re not my alpha anymore, I disown you and your pack,’ Theo yells through the bond, making it break, the bond we shared as alpha and packmate, he pushed me out, he doesn’t want me to be his alpha, he doesn’t want to belong to my pack, or to my family.
‘I’m your mate Theo,’ I say as last desperate trial to bring him back inside the pack land, back to me and back to Stella, it’s breaking her heart having him missing, whether he’s a good wolf and mate or not, she still connected to him and we can’t just take him away from her, he has to come back.
‘You’re a jerk Milo, a selfish jerk, you’re not mine,’ Theo answers me.
‘What about Stella?’ I say, now I’m hitting low, I’m hitting deep, and it’s my last card.
‘She doesn’t want me, she wants you, so you can have her,’ Theo says and all kind of connections I had along with him were gone, I lost all the connections I had to Theo and I had no idea if it’s a good or bad thing, not to be connected to him anymore, he’s been an idiot, a jerk to everyone, and now he’s gone why be sad over it?
The next fight I had in less than twenty-four hours was with my other mate, James is one of the hardest alphas I know, he’s firm, he doesn’t take no for an answer, and he’s used to be running a whole pack.
He only came in because of me, because of her, she’s the reason he’s here and if I pull her away from him or him away from her, I’ll have to deal with a double broken heart, hers and mine, and maybe James, this is the only reason he’s staying alive, he’s here, it’s to be around with Stella.
Now he’s fighting with me over Stella, I’m soft with her, of course I’m soft, she just got her heart broken by Theo, and she’s having hard time connecting with her inner wolf, she has three wolf souls inside of her, she says that she doesn’t feel Theo’s soul anymore, but it must of have left a mark on her and her wolf.
“This is stupid,” she whines out loud, we’re only pushing her to feel her wolf so she could feel her, we’re checking how much damage it’s done to her wolf.
‘Careful,’ James warns her, this attitude isn’t going to help her, she needs to think of her wolf, she needs to connect to her, and she needs to at least touch her so we could make sure no harm is done.
“Can we ditch him? Maybe throw him in the river?” she asks me giving me her best kitten eyes.
‘No we have to keep him,’ I answer her with an eye roll.
‘You’re too soft with her,’ James says, accusing me.
‘She’s a baby,’ I defend her, she’s just a child, and a little, we should be taking it easy with her.
‘She needs to learn boundaries and spoiling her won’t work,’ James says.
‘She deserves getting spoiled, she’s a child,’ I say, I was trying to keep my chat with James only, she doesn’t need to hear this fight.
‘No Milo, she needs to learn limits, that includes not making fun of the classes we’re teaching her,’ James says.
‘James,’ I say in a firm voice, not wanting to fight him, but I would if I have to.
‘Fine, you want to cuddle her, you do that, but she shouldn’t be expecting that treatment from me,’ James says in a final tone.
“Are you two done fighting? I’m not a baby,” she groans, fuck, she heard us.
‘Lil-Star,’ I say warning her, she needs to let me deal with him.
‘Yes, we’re done, watch the tone,’ James scolds her.
“You two know I can hear everything you say,” she says and there goes any kind of privacy to bond talk around her.
‘We know you do, now can you hear your wolf?’ I ask changing the topic.
“She doesn’t like me, or maybe she doesn’t like you two yelling at me, how about we do this later?” she begs me.
‘We’re not going until you at least feel her, or touch her,’ James says in a firm voice, he was too worried and it’s the only way he knows how to show it, being firm.
“I don’t have to listen to you,” she say challenging him, but James was another kind of alphas, and she should be careful around him.
‘Yes, you do,’ I say trying to be firm.
“Whose side are you on?” she yells at me.
‘There isn’t sides here Stella, all of us are on the same side, we both want you to try,’ I answer her.
“I want to go home,” she says pouting.
‘Let’s take her home,’ I say with a sigh, this isn’t going to work, she needs to relax so we could try again tomorrow.
‘If you keep giving in, she’ll be the one leading you around, alpha,’ James says.
‘Cut her some slack, after everything she went through,’ I say defending her again.
‘Don’t expect this princess treatment always,’ James warns her.
“And don’t expect me to always be nice,” she says, right, she’s not being very nice right now, and it’s best to take her home so she could relax a bit and then tomorrow we’ll try again.
As we went back home, James didn’t let it go, he wasn’t too happy about me being soft, or too soft as he put it with Stella.
‘She’s heart broken, we need to deal with the sad part first,’ I tell James.
‘If we let her go for too long, her wolf would go into hiding, we don’t know how much damage Theo has done, and if she goes into hiding then only god knows when we could pull her back out,’ James says making a point, but she’s also a little one, how do we deal with a little one that’s scared and broken.
‘She might be acting like a big strong girl, but she’s a little, and her wolf is going to be a puppy,’ I warn him.
We kept on arguing and fighting, until we got home, dad called us into his office to talk this through, but the talk turned into a small fight, we can’t be good cop, bad cop in front of her, not when we didn’t agree on it.
“What am I then?” James say in a hurt voice, I didn’t mean for him to take offense to my words, all I meant was that she needs some time.
“You’re my mate, and her wolf but don’t fight with me in front of her,” I say back to him, he needs to understand that we both need to be on the same page at least for her.
“Boys, keep it down, you two need to work this through, but not here and not now,” Dad scold us.
“I’m either welcome here or I’m not,” James says, meaning as my mate and her second wolf.
“You’re my mate, friend, and I you know I have a crush on you, but when it comes to Stella, we both have to take it easy on her,” I say in a final voice.
“Fine,” James finally agrees with me.
Things only managed to get worst from there, Little-star was brought in with her brother and his wolf Calesti, and the fight went from between the two of us, to between the two siblings.
“Okay, that’s enough little one,” James says pulling her off her brother.
“No, let me go!” she yells wanting to keep fighting.
“Stella, stop it,” I scold her, holding both of her tiny hands in one of mine.
‘Let’s take this to private,’ I tell James through our bond, he carried her toward my bedroom and we locked her in the middle between us, it’s time to have a chat.
“Why did you do that little one?” James asks her.
“I’m not talking to you,” she says pouting, turning to me.
“Stella, that’s very rude, say sorry,” I scold her.
“Nu-uh,” she whines.
“Fine, let’s get some things clear,” James says giving me a look and I nod, she needs a firmer hand in here, and it’s not going to be me.
“Stella, for souls, for humans it’s easier to just give in so you could have a smoother transition into wolf life, we live for a very and I mean very long time, look at me, I hardly look older than you and I’m not going to look any older for another fifty year maybe more, and that includes you now,” James starts.
“It’s scary, we’re taught that from the day we’re born, but it’s just thrown at you, your life is different now because of us,” I say being the nice cop, going with the game for now.
“And that’s why you need us, we’re pushing you to touch your wolf and connect with her, because she’ll come to you in your dreams, she’ll be jumping in random conversation, and we don’t want her to scare you, we want you to be okay with it, to be in control,” James explains to her clearly what’s going on now and why we need her to trust us.
“Okay, fine, I get the wolf part, but I’m not a baby,” she whines.
“Of course you’re not ‘a’ baby, you’re our baby, and we want to spoil you, we want to take care of you, and I know you’re interested in being a little, you told me so. And when your wolf shows up, and as James explained, she will show up, she’ll be a little baby,” I say caressing her cheeks, landing a kiss on top of her head.
“Oh, no I’m sure your wolf is going to be a brat,” James tease her.
“Only to you, I love daddy Milo,” she says hugging me and sticking a tongue out at James, I chuckled, she’s a cute brat though.
“I’d love for you to call me daddy more often,” I say kissing the top of her head again.
“And me,” James says poking her, but she still had the same pout on her face.
“Now that we agreed you’re a little there’s going to be some rules,” I say, she can’t keep running around fighting with her brother or us.
“What rules?” she says shocked.
“No fighting,” Me and James say at the same time, that’s her first rule.
“Fine,” she whines.
“We’ll go from there, obey us, and do as we say,” I say, deciding to go easy on her.
“What he said,” James says making me smile, we’re agreeing on things finally.
