Stella POV.
“Where’s Theo?” I asked Milo in the morning, did he really leave? Or did he just go out to let out some of the steam and is going to come back for us, coming back to me?
“He left the pack,” Milo says sadly, I looked at him with pain filling my eyes, he left me behind, he’s not coming back to me? Not ever?
“Is he coming back?” I asked Milo, he looked just as sad as me.
“I don’t know Lil-Star, I really don’t know,” he says.
“Hey you two, I need to steal Milo, we’ll be back through the main door to take you for breakfast,” James says, standing near my window, ready to jump out.
“Okay,” I say with the same frown on my face.
“Don’t worry, we’re going back, just give us a bit of time to get a car,” James promises me and I nod, they both jump out of my window, I stay in bed, I try to think of Theo, I tried to connect to him, to call him, but nothing, I couldn’t feel him, I couldn’t see him either.
“Stella, are you okay?” Finn asked me coming into my room, he looked to be very worried.
“I’m fine,” I lied.
“Liar, what’s going on? What’s with the mental breakdown?” he asks me, with a raised brow.
“Theo left me,” I say sadly, Finn looked at me confused, as if I have lost my mind.
“Sister, it doesn’t work like that, he can’t leave you, he actually can’t dump you, you hold his soul,” Finn says reminding me of my role in the wolves’ life.
“I don’t feel his soul anymore, he said that he hates me, he hates all of us, and then he left, he’s out of the pack land and he’s not talking to me anymore,” I tell him, he doesn’t want to be with me, he abandoned me.
“It’s just because you have more than one soul inside of you, that’s all,” Finn assures me.
“Says you, how’s things with Cici?” I ask him trying to change the topic.
“Calesti is perfect, she’s my perfect girl,” he says way too proud of her and I just shrug, sure, at least he’s happy about his life with Calesti.
“I’m happy for you two,” I say with a sigh, I finally left the bed and went to get dressed for the day, they said they were coming back to get me, and I’m gonna wait for them, maybe they’ll have some news on Theo.
“Good morning, Stella, how are you feeling today?” Dad asks me worriedly as soon as he saw me in the morning.
“I’m fine dad,” I assure him with a tight smile.
“Are you sure, I’ve been talking to your mother, maybe it’s better if you check with a doctor,” dad says.
“I don’t like doctors,” I remind him, I had to check with one after moving in here, but I’m all good now.
“If needed, you’re going,” dad says in a firm voice making me pout, not fair at all.
“Dad, is it too late for me to ask for a car on Christmas?” Finn asks him, taking the spotlight off me thankfully.
“I want to learn how to drive,” I whined again, I still want to learn how to drive, Theo gave me a small lesson, but that wasn’t enough, I wanted to really learn.
“After new year, sign up for classes, I’ll pay and sign it off,” dad says making me smile happily.
“Thank you daddy,” I say with a big smile on my face, there was a knock on the door and I ran to open it knowing too well who was on the other side of the door.
“Good morning guys, what are you doing here?” I ask them pretending to be innocent.
“We’re here for breakfast, do you mind if we come in?” Milo asks me with a smile on his face.
“No, come right in,” I say taking a step to the side and letting them inside the house, James came near me, near enough to whisper in my ear.
“I would love for you to call me daddy too,” he says making me turn bloody red, how am I supposed to sit near my father now?
“We hope you don’t mind us coming in without telling you first,” Milo says to my dad.
“It’s fine,” dad says but we both know it wasn’t that fine, he’s angry but he’s not going to show it.
James and Milo offered to cook everyone breakfast, and after the promise of French toast, he finally gave in and smiled seeing the plate of food being placed in front of him, I took a seat too, but every time I looked at James my face would go bloody red. Calesti joined us too for breakfast, she and Finn were having fun grilling James with questions.
“So let me get this straight, you’re only here for the holidays but thinking about moving in?” Dad asks James.
“Yeah, Milo is like a brother to me, and we’re both working with Uncle Jayden, so why not stay in here, it’s a nice town, and I get to make new friends in here,” James answered him.
“And my daughter?” Dad ask them in a cold voice
“A little sister,” James says.
“That’s good, keep it that way,” dad orders us.
“Of course, dad,” I promise him.
“What are you three going to do?” dad asks us finally.
“Kidnap Finn,” I say with a smile on my face.
“Hey, what about me?” Calesti says with a pout.
“Where I go she goes,” Finn says.
“Then we’re all going out,” Milo finally tells dad with a big smile on his face.
“Stay out of trouble,” Dad ordered us, but we all smiled assuring him that we were all fine and we’d act like good kids.
“We will,” Finn assured him, we cleaned the kitchen and we all left the house and went toward the woods.
“What are we doing here?” I ask them, they usually take me to the house or maybe to spend some time in the town.
“We need to take a run, and you need to start training little one,” James says.
“Don’t call me little one,” I say with a big pout.
“Definitely a little,” Calesti says, joining the chat.
“I read about those, I agree she’s one of those,” Finn says.
“Finn! Whose side are you on?” I asked him.
“Yours, you act like one, why don’t you just give in? Be a little,” Finn answers me.
“And what would that make you?” I ask him.
“I have some little tendencies, but I talk with Cici about it, and we go through them, but you don’t, you’re hiding things from everyone,” Finn says, and my mouth fell open, I didn’t see that one coming.
“Are you done teasing her? She can be a little on her own pace, she’ll get used to things,” Milo says.
“You too?” I ask him with pleading eyes.
“Yes, me too, we all agree you’re a little, you just need to have your time until you slip in, and get used to it,” Milo says with a small smile.
“You guys aren’t fun,” I whined.
“Come on, little one, we brought you here for another reason,” James says with a big smile on his face.
“To make fun of me?” I ask them.
“Never, we want to teach you both a cool trick,” James says.
“What kind of trick?” I ask him with the same pout still on my face.
“First you gotta drop the pout, then I’ll tell you,” James teased me, so I turned to Milo for help, Theo never acted like that toward me, he either was angry, or he was too cool, but he never teased or played along with any of us, not even when it’s around just Cici, his alleged best friend.
“Fine,” I say, stomping my foot, making everyone laugh at me.
“Guys, if you don’t stop laughing at her, I’m punishing everyone,” Milo says in a firm voice making them all sober up.
“Even me Milo? Really? Cousin,” James says teasing him, they had some kind of chemistry going between them, and I could see it from back here.
“Especially you James, now back to the little ones,” Milo says, turning to me and Finn.
“One thing we told you about is that being connected to a wolf means you could be a wolf too,” Milo says and we both nod, I thought that part is going to take us years, maybe decades.
“After being connected to your wolves, you could call your inner wolf, and if you’re with us, close to your wolf, you could start interacting with your inner wolf,” James explains to us next.
“Wait, she wasn’t kidding we could actually shift into wolves?” Finn asks them with big wide eyes.
“Yes, but shifting is going to take years, and we mean years, but feeling and sensing your inner wolves, that we could working on now,” Milo says with a smile.
“How do I do that? Call hey inner wolf?” I ask them with a chuckle.
“Pretty much, you close your eyes and think of your inner wolf, the one that lives inside of you,” Milo says.
“I don’t think I have a wolf that lives inside of me, maybe a cat or a frog, feels like a frog,” Finn says making me laugh.
“Yeah, mine is a cat,” I say laughing out loud.
“You’re most probably a kitten,” Calesti says commenting on me.
“We can offer you this, we’ll shift into our wolf forms and that would help you feel them,” Milo says, and I nod.
“Okay,” I say out loud.
“Anything to play with my Wolfie,” Finn says looking at Cici who shifted right away and jumped on top of him, landing kisses all over his neck and face.
“Are you two gonna shift and play with me?” I ask them.
“We’ll shift, but I don’t do public playing,” James warns me as he shifts into his wolf form, he’s a big wolf just as big as Milo, maybe a tiny bit bigger, and when he stood near me, I felt safe and scared at the same time.
Milo didn’t have the rules of James, he cuddled with me in his wolf form, he landed some kisses, while James kept his distance, now to think of my inner wolf, or maybe she’s just an inner kitten.
‘Inner wolf,’ I heard both Milo and James voices in my head making me groan.
“Not funny,” I say to them both but they ignore me, now my inner kitty where are you? I call to her but she doesn’t answer me.
“This isn’t working,” I groaned.
“Give it some time sister, I’m sure your wolf is hiding somewhere,” Finn says.
“You felt yours?” I ask him with a raised brow.
“Pretty much,” he says with a shrug.
