Stella POV.
“Hey,” I say through the phone, he answered even before the first beep, he’s been yelling in my head and I was trying to ignore it, good thing that I’m not that good with communication and with the distance that’s between us, it’s easier, I don’t hear him that loud anymore, but he’s still there yelling all angry and mad.
“Stella, I’m going to chain you down, I swear I’m putting you on a leash,” he yells at me through the phone, I flinched.
“Sorry Milo,” I say not sure what else to say, we’re in our third stolen car and we’re ready to drop this one and get a bus before we get home for dinner.
“Sorry isn’t going to cut it, when you get home you’re going to be extremely sorry,” he says in a firm voice and I flinch again, that doesn’t sound nice at all.
“Okay,” I mumble with fear.
“Where are you?” Milo asks me next, he had no idea where we are and he’s so mad at us already.
“We’re on our way back home,” I assure him, we’ll be there by dinner.
“Where are you Stella?” he asks again.
“On the road,” I say, I had no idea where we are, it’s the first time I leave the town, and although this country is beautiful, I’m not familiar with any of the streets or their names, I looked around me confused, could I see a street name or something?
“What road?” he asks me again.
“I have no idea Milo, we’re just cruising around, Theo, is showing me the country,” I say going with that as an excuse to why we’re out.
“And he had to do so? In the middle of the night? Without telling me or telling anyone else?” he asks me in a firm voice. ”
“Uhhh…” I say not sure what to say anymore, what do I say to him next? I looked at Theo hoping for help, but he just shrugs, he wasn’t any help, I turned to James, he’s one hell of a hot guy, but I’m already connected to two wolves and I shouldn’t be having any kind of feelings toward him, but turn out I’m a hoe who likes having crushes on alpha wolves.
“Give it to me,” James finally says, taking my phone away and talking to Milo on the phone.
“Hey, cousin,” James says through the phone, I couldn’t hear the answer, but the way Milo yelled through the phone, I could hear him, he wasn’t happy not at all.
“I don’t know what you did, but thank you for saving me cousin, you can kill us when we make it there, for now, just hold tight, we might have just done it and would be able to make it alive,” James says through the phone, he does sound like Milo, he sounds like an alpha I guess.
“He’s gonna hold the killing spree until we get there,” James says handing me the phone back, I gave him a smile, a tight smile, so he’s not going to kill any of us until we make it there, god help us all.
I have managed to sleep a tiny bit now, the crazy driving was toned down, and I wasn’t being shaken or thrown around in the car anymore, and now I could finally sleep, I haven’t slept much and I was exhausted, I was happy to sleep finally.
“Wake her up,” I heard James says, although I’m sleeping, I could hear them still, I wasn’t that deep asleep, I’m in my own bed and under my blankets, so I was on alert.
“I’ll carry her,” Theo says, but I didn’t want to be carried, so I opened my eyes and sat up, they looked at me but didn’t comment.
We left the final stolen car and started to walk toward a bus stop, are we in the town yet, I asked them all the streets and towns are very similar, I can’t tell them apart, and Theo found that very entertaining.
“Can’t you feel when we’re on pack land? It’s where we’re the safest,” Theo explains to me.
“No, I don’t feel anything, all the roads are very similar,” I whined.
“It’s because he’s here with you, you don’t feel scared, but you see how tired you are, it’ll all be gone once you’re near Milo, sharing souls isn’t that easy,” James says.
“You know about it? About having more than one soul?” I ask him.
“It’s very rare, but I heard about it, I saw it, it happens,” he says with a shrug.
“Is it normal that I want to kill Milo still?” Theo asks and I turned to him with a glare, he should be over it by now.
“I would expect so, I’d kill anyone who’d share my soul with me, but being your mate means you should be wanting to fuck more and kill less,” James says and I turned fully red, that was very embarrassing.
“We’re almost at the bus, come on before she dies from embarrassment,” James says looking at me with a small smile on his face.
“How long would the bus ride be?” I ask them, as we got in, we took a seat in the back, all three of us sat together, and they made sure to place me in the middle, to keep me safe.
“It’s a couple hours,” James answers me.
“How do you know any of the streets?” I ask them.
“You get used to them,” they both assured me.
“Sure, street green, and green street, I’m memorizing the names,” I say and they both chuckled at me.
“Believe me, you don’t want to get there,” Theo says and I agreed with him, Milo is going to kill us and I still have to worry about my father, as long as I’m home before dinner, he wouldn’t ask about where I was the whole day.
“He won’t really hurt us, would he?” I ask James, since he’s the more friendly one.
“Hurt? No, but I don’t guarantee that your bum-bum would be safe,” he says whispering in my ear.
“What do you mean?” I ask him, looking at him with wide eyes.
“He means you’re getting spanked,” Theo tease me.
“Stop it,” I whined pushing him off me, but he just chuckles at me.
“Don’t tease her,” James says defending me.
“Or what? You’re not my alpha, mate, or soul, you don’t mean anything to me,” Theo says through gritted teeth to him, I felt the urge to get in the middle of them before they start fighting, and knowing Theo, he wouldn’t step down from a fight, any kind of fights.
“Let it go James, please, for me,” I beg him, he looks at me with a kind of a look, I don’t know what it meant, it’s not pity, but it’s similar to the one Milo gives me back at home.
“Just for you,” he says, he looked out through the window and avoided Theo, who in his turn avoided me, I felt miserable sitting in the middle just thinking of what Milo is going to do to me once we get home, he’ll go crazy, and dad is going to ground me again, was it even worth it?
“You’ll be fine, don’t worry,” James whisper to me after some time has passed, I wasn’t sure how long it has passed but it did.
“I was never in trouble with him, I thought we have found our happy ending,” I whined, it’s why I’m so scared of being in trouble with him, what if he goes all crazy on me now.
“I know Milo, he got a soft heart, he’ll never hurt you,” James promises me.
“You knew him long?” I ask him, I haven’t heard of him before, just the day that he was declared dead and Milo cried over him.
“Since the day he was born,” he answers me with a smile on his face.
“How old are you?” I ask him next, how old was he, if he knew Milo for so long?
“I’m in my forties,” he says and my mouth fell open and my eyes opened wide, is he for real? He hardly look older than Milo, how could be that old?
“Remember we don’t age, we take our sweet time growing up,” Theo throws in, helping me out here.
“Right,” I say remembering what the Luna told me, she mentioned that I’ll stop aging too, now that I’m with them, it’ll take me long years before I start looking like in my twenties, and that kind of suck, I didn’t want to look like a sixteen years old for long, I wanted to look my age or older.
“We’re there?” I ask them, as the bus stopped and everyone was ready to leave, except us, we’re sitting in the far back of the bus, and so we’re the last ones to get out of here.
“Yes, sweet Milo offered to pick us up,” Theo says with a smile on his face, I swallowed the lump in my throat, he left the bus first, and I walked out with shaky knees.
“For emotional support,” James says holding my hand as we got out of the bus.
As promised Milo was waiting for us, he looked pissed standing there in front of his car, James squeezed my hand again, assuring me it’s fine, but I was terrified.
“I’m alive,” James announces making the other guy break a small smile, it’s hardly there but he did smile after seeing that he’s alive.
“You’re alive and you got my soul and my mate,” Milo says.
“Yeah, the best rescue team ever,” James answer him.
“Right, Stella, come here,” he says in a firm voice, but I shook my head no.
“Now, Stella, come here,” he order me again, in a colder voice, and I obey him, too scared, he used my name, my full name, he always call me Lil-star, but not this time.
“What you did little miss is unexpectable,” he scolds me.
“I only saved him for you,” I say trying to defend myself.
“I didn’t ask you to do so, and that doesn’t mean that I’ll let it go or say thank you,” he says firmly still.
“Fine, don’t,” I say with a big pout.
“Drop the attitude,” he warns me.
“No,” I say mad at him, how come he wouldn’t say thank you or drop the mean attitude.
“I’m not playing with you little girl,” Milo says taking hold of my arm and pulling me toward him, I tried to get away from him, but in return he slapped my butt, hard, and he did it more than once.
I yelled with pain, but he ignored me, and pulled me into his car, James joined us in the car, while Theo took off running, no one can mess with that guy, but I’m free game and now I’m sitting with two alphas in the car and neither of them looked happy.
