Stella POV.
“Mom, Dad, this is my boyfriend Milo,” I say, I wasn’t sure how else to introduce him but my boyfriend, well I hold his soul Mother, and he’s my wolf dear father, no need to worry, he’s a very nice guy, you should approve of him being my boyfriend.
“Boyfriend Stella? When?” Dad asked me, he wasn’t too shy from saying those words in front of him.
“We just agreed on it sir,” Milo says, here we go, Dad is about to shew the alpha’s ass off.
“And what’s your name again?” Dad asks him, raising a brow at him.
“Milo,” Milo introduced himself with a big smile on his face, shaking hands with my father.
“How old are you Milo? You’re in school with my daughter?” Dad asks him.
“I’m nineteen, I graduated last year,” Milo answers him.
“And how did you meet my daughter?” Mom asks him and I roll my eyes at them, here comes the investigation, good luck Milo.
“We met in town, she spends time with my friends and so we met,” Milo says giving her a winner smile, it made my heart melt, but I don’t know how well it’ll work on mom.
“And what do you do now?” Dad asks him, jumping back in.
“I work with my father, he runs a small business,” Milo says, I didn’t know that he did that, we talk all the time, but I never ask him about him or what he does when he’s not around with me or running with the wolf packs.
“What kind of business?” Dad asked him, I waited to hear what kind of business his father does.
“He works in almost everything, from construction to shipping,” Milo says with a smile on his face, not minding all of Dad’s questions.
“Okay, enough with the investigation, we’re going to my room,” I say deciding to get Milo out of the line of fire.
“Your room Stella?” Mom asks me out loud, we’re not going to do anything, I rolled my eyes at her, and I thought that they trust me?
“We’re gonna keep the door open Mom, we’re just gonna hang out there, Cici stays in Finn’s room,” I say in reply, they spend time together all the time, well for the last week or so they did.
“Door wide open, and no funny business, because I work in hiding bodies after my office hours,” Dad warns him, as we walk away and go toward my room, I keep my door wide open, and we walk toward the window seat, I looked out of the window, it’s the best view from the house.
“I love this window,” I say with a happy sigh.
“Hmm,” Milo says looking out of the window, his eyes scanning the trees, if I pay attention, there’s always a wolf in the view.
“What’s wrong?” I ask him, there’s nothing to be mad about, we’re just looking out of the window.
“Others can see you here, I’m not sure if I should be happy that you’ll always be safe, or made because they could see what’s mine,” Milo says, thinking out loud.
“I have a curtain,” I answer him, so the feeling of having someone watching me while I’m in my room wasn’t just a feeling, it was real the whole time.
“So people can really see me? Theo can?” I ask him.
“He’s your wolf too, if he’s looking, it’s to keep an eye out for you,” he says, but I didn’t believe him, it felt like an excuse.
“Sure, if you say so,” I say with a shrug, not really believing him.
“So what do you wanna do?” he asked me and I shrugged, I didn’t want to do anything specific, I just wanted to spend time with him, his presence made me feel a lot better.
“Nothing, can we just stay here?” I ask and he agrees, he never says no to me, I should be asking him for more details, I should be more curious about his life, but call me selfish, I’m thinking about me, especially after my time spent with Theo.
“Milo, can a wolf kill their soul?” I ask him, we’re just sitting in the window seat enjoying the view, I have my doubts that Milo is giving out orders since some wolves would be running and then stop halfway through and look around before going back to running.
“No, we can’t hurt our souls, let alone kill them, if you’re hurt, we’d go insane, if you die we die,” Milo answers me.
“If I die would both you and Theo die?” I ask him with a raised brow.
“Yes, if you die, we’d both die,” Milo says and I felt tears start to go down my face, I didn’t want him to die.
“But I don’t want you dying,” I cry.
“I’m not going to die Lil-Star and neither are you, you’re safe with me,” Milo says hugging me tight, holding me and making me feel safe.
“What about when Dad finds out you’re a wolf and shoots you,” I say trying to joke and stop the tears, the idea of him dying made my heart break.
“A bullet won’t kill us, so I’ll be safe,” he assures me with a wink.
“Okay, I believe you,” I say with a sigh.
Milo left around dinner time, he gave me a goodbye hug in my room before giving me a formal wave in front of my parents, he left the house and I got an earful about having a boyfriend, and how I should be careful, no funny business allowed, that they’d be checking my grades and that I now have a curfew, I made sure to smile and nod through the whole lecture, pretending to be good girl that obeys her parents, I’m one, but instead of having a normal boyfriend, I have two wolves that claims that I hold their souls.
The next day, I went to school and I met Theo again, I wished that he didn’t go to school with us, but he did and he made sure to spend time with me while at school, he’d always find a way to be around me, to talk to me or find his way into my class.
“Hello,” he says sitting next to me, I didn’t ask him about yesterday, about where he went, and why he was so angry, so I ignored those all and gave him a tight smile.
“Hi, Theo,” I answer him.
“How did your evening go?” he asks me, pretending to be okay with our last chat.
“It was fine,” I say with a shrug.
“Mine wasn’t that good either, I’m missing you,” he says his hand going toward mine, he held my hand lightly, petting it, with a smile on his face, it wasn’t the worst touch ever, I liked it.
“Face ahead, books down,” the teacher says walking into the class and stopping our chat.
“What?” I mumble but do as he asks us to, he starts to distribute test papers, and my eyes go wild with shock, I didn’t know we had an exam.
“As we have talked before this exam is going to be twenty per cent of your final grade, I hope you all have studied enough for it,” The teacher says and then his eyes fell on Theo.
“Are you going to be taking this exam? Or are you leaving?” sadly our teacher wasn’t one of the nicer ones and he didn’t appreciate having Theo in his class, he’s not one of his students and he doesn’t like having students that aren’t his.
“I’ll leave,” Theo says leaving me alone to suffer with the test, I didn’t study, I didn’t even know we had an exam.
‘Stella, is it Theo again?’ I heard Milo’s voice in my head and I was so grateful for his voice right now.
‘I’m doing an exam, but I don’t know any of the answers,’ I say back, well I try to say those words, I’m not good with saying things to him, but somehow he understands me.
‘I’ll help you Stella, relax, look at the page and think of me,’ Milo answers me and I try to relax.
I tried to look at the page, trying to read it slowly to help Milo read it, I could even hear him chuckle at me in my head, with every question I read, he gave me the answers and I managed to fill in my whole exam, once I was done, I went to give the paper to my teacher.
“A word on the side Miss Star,” the teacher calls me out, and I nod, I didn’t think I did anything wrong.
“Is there anything wrong?” I ask my teacher, trying to sound innocent, I’m innocent, but just to be sure.
“I know this isn’t in the school rules, but asking your soul for help in exams won’t pass, you have to do your own studying,” the teacher scolded me.
“I didn’t ask for help,” I say, but I did, I needed the help very urgently, if it wasn’t for Milo I would have failed.
“I don’t need the details, but you were asking for help, and I’m expecting a lot more from the future Luna,” he scolds, and I look down at the ground.
“What’s a luna?” I ask him, I heard the title, but I don’t know what it really means.
“I’m sure Milo would be happy to explain, dismissed,” the teacher says in a cold voice, I felt very bad for cheating, but I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t study.
I went toward my next class, looking for Calesti, she’ll know how to hide things from the teacher and she’ll know what a Luna is, but instead of catching Calesti, Theo found me.
“Hey, how did your exam go?” Theo asks me.
“Terrible,” I answer him with a big pout.
“Why didn’t you study?” he asks me next.
“I didn’t know we had an exam,” I say with a shrug.
“I don’t like studying either, do you want to skip out?” he suggests.
“Uhhh….” I say thinking about it, should I skip or stay?
‘You two better stay in school,’ I heard Milo order in my head.
‘Fuck off,’ Theo says and I could hear them both.
‘Do you want to have your ass spanked again?’ Milo growls and I was scared, I didn’t want him to be punished.
“Ignore him, he hits like a girl,” Theo says with too much confidence.
“I think we better stay here,” I say with a shrug.
“Are you scared of Milo?” he says, and I shake my head no.
“I don’t want to get in trouble with dad for missing school,” I say with a big pout on my face.
“Fine, we can stay,” Theo whines and goes with me to my next class, he’s joining me again and I can’t find Calesti anywhere.
