Stella POV.
My brother was on my side, and mom tried to talk to me, but I wasn’t sure how to tell them about everything that had happened, how do I explain how things were going and why? I don’t even understand half of the things that are going on, but they are going and I’m standing here confused, looking at things like a lost girl.
“Hello,” I answer the phone, seeing another strange number, it must be Calesti.
“Hey, do you need a ride to school?” Calesti asked me and I thought about it, do I want to see Theo again this soon?
“Uhh… you don’t have to, dad can drive us on his way to work, and I have my brother with me,” I say trying to get out of this.
“Hey, it’s just me, I can drive you both,” Calesti says, so it’s just her in the car, Theo wasn’t there, it wouldn’t be that bad after all.
“Okay,” I agree with Calesti.
“Great, I’ll be there in five minutes,” she says, I was still in bed, I couldn’t sleep, I had been awake most of the night, and I didn’t feel like getting up this morning, I wanted to sleep.
“Okay,” I say, and jump out of bed, I run toward the bathroom to change and wash up for the day, I did get ready in a new record time, I was done and out of the door in four minutes and forty seconds, giving me enough time to get down to the kitchen and ask Finn if he needs a ride along with us.
We got in the car with Calesti and I noticed the way Finn was looking at her, did he have a crush on my friend? I’m not going to allow this! He can’t have her as his crush, she’s my friend, the only one I have, I tried to glare at my brother, trying to get him to understand that this wasn’t cool, but he didn’t care.
“Hello, Calesti,” my brother says smoothly, he’s good talking with girls, young and old, they all love Finn.
“Hi, Finn, it’s nice meeting you,” she says with a smile, was she falling for his charm?
“This is my younger brother, he’s fourteen,” I say trying to tell her that he’s younger than us.
“I’m sixteen, but age is just a number,” Calesti says and I felt the urge to smack her head, he’s cute but he’s a twink, she can’t be serious.
When we finally made it to school, I was happy to see my brother leaving us, he walked off toward his class, and I turned to her with a frown.
“What is it?” she asks me.
“He’s my brother,” I say meaning that she can’t have a crush on him, she turned to me with a raised brow.
“And Theo is my cousin, nice getting to know your family tree,” she says with a smile.
“Calesti, don’t be like that,” I groan.
“I didn’t do anything, I don’t know what you’re mad at,” she says with a shrug, I groaned and walked toward our class.
“Good morning girls,” Theo says walking toward us, I just smiled at him avoiding his eyes, I didn’t want to talk to him, or maybe I did, I wasn’t sure how to deal with him anymore.
“Sorry about yesterday, I didn’t mean to act like that,” Theo says, I didn’t want to be mad at him, I wanted to be friendly with him, I wanted to talk to him, so I decided to play nice.
“It’s okay, but don’t do that again,” I say and he smiles at me.
“Promise,” he says taking my hand and walking along with me to the class, a lot of people were looking at us now as we walked in, so I blushed and took a seat right away.
“Joining us again?” the teacher asks looking at Theo.
“I like your class so much, I don’t want to leave,” Theo says with sass and I have to hold back my laugh, it’s funny, kind of.
“Leave Theo,” the teacher says in a firm voice.
“Or what?” Theo says challenging the teacher, he looks different, he’s looking at the teacher with a look in his eyes, one of a guy who’s ready to fight with him.
“Or I’ll report you, and then let them deal with you,” the teacher says challenging back, he wasn’t letting this go, and the smile on Theo’s face dropped, he left the class with a big frown on his face and I heard Calesti sighs.
“Are you okay?” I ask her worriedly.
“That boy is getting his ass in trouble,” she says with a sigh.
“Why?” I told her, and I didn’t understand who them is, and why the teacher knew him by name and challenged him, it wasn’t a normal student and teacher relationship, it was different.
“This is Elijah, he’s married to Jasper, and Jasper is like uhhhhh… Milo’s right hand and Milo is our alpha… I mean boss, but he’s like a bad alpha male you know,” she says trying to explain things to me.
“Okay, Elijah, married to Jasper, and Jasper is the vice don,” I say and she couldn’t help but giggle out loud, the teacher Elijah turned to us with a glare.
“Girls, pay attention,” he scolds us.
“Sorry sir,” Calesti says looking away from his eyes, he looked at us for another second, and then went back to his class and exlaining things, I wasn’t paying much attention to the class, I was lost in my own head.
After the class I walked out with my friend, I looked at her waiting for her to finish up the thing she was telling me before the teacher stopped us, how rude of him, telling us not to talk in his class, if his was interesting, we wouldn’t have been talking.
“So go on,” I say, I still wanted to know the rest of the story.
“Jasper and Theo bump heads sometimes, and people avoid him usually, but you see Elijah is the nicer one, he’s the one that doesn’t fight the fight, but get in a fight with him and Jasper would have your head for it,” she explains, it’s like when people mess with my dad and my mom has his back, she’d kill ayone for him.
“Okay, I get it,” I say nodding my head understanding.
“We should meet up with Theo, he’ll be looking for you,” Calesti says.
“Me?” I say, worry filling my body, why would he be looking for me, we’re not a thing yet, but I liked him.
“Yes, you, you know he has a gaint crush on you, he’ll probably want to ask you out,” Calesti says making me turn bloody red.
“Okay,” I say blushing.
“You like him too right?” she asks me, and I nod feeling too shy to say it out loud.
“Hey, where have you two go,” Theo says keeping us with us.
“I have to get going, I’ll see you later,” Calesti says leaving us alone, I didn’t want her to leave me, but she ran away from us before I could tell her to stay and not leave me alone here with him.
“Calesti,” I whined as she left, he looked at me with a big pout.
“Hey, Stella,” he says trying to force a smile, but it felt very forced.
“Hello,” I say with a forced smile as well.
“I’m sorry about the teacher, I’ll walk you to your class,” he says, walking with me.
“It’s fine, I guess you can’t stay in the same class as me,” I say, I didn’t like being forced.
“How about I take you out after school? No one would be telling me to go out,” he says giving me the cutest puppy eyes ever.
“Okay,” I agree with him, I couldn’t say no to him.
“I’ll pick you up after school,” he says dropping me at my class and running off toward his class, I sat in Mr James class with a big frown on my face, I didn’t even like this teacher.
“Are you okay Stella?” he whispers to me as everyone was busy reading the chapters he assigned.
“I’m fine,” I say with a shrug.
“I know moving in is scary and different, but you’ll get used to it, you’ll soon find out this place is where you belong,” he says and leaves, that was very weird of him, the whole thing was weird, him telling me that it’ll be the place where I belong, he doesn’t know that, he doesn’t know where I belong and where I don’t, but he was very sure of it, and I didn’t feel like objecting.
The rest of the classes were weird, I couldn’t pay attention, if I fail this year, I’ll have to blame the whole moving here, but I should be doing my homework and try to pay attention the classes, but it’s all cause of Theo and the way he’s acting toward me, he’s scaring me to be honest.
“Stella, I need to tell you,” Calesti says when we got to the cafeteria, Theo was nowhere to be seen and I was happy to have some time alone.
“Tell me,” I say listening to her.
“I talked to your brother, I’ll drive him home, don’t want him to get lost again,” she says giving me puppy eyes, it’s the same ones that Theo gave me earlier, they did them really well.
“Okay, but Calesti, he’s my younger brother, and I’m a very protective sister,” I warn her.
“Don’t worry, he’ll be in good hands,” she assures me with a big smile.
“Fine, Theo invited me on a date and I said yes,” I say telling her the truth.
“Wow! That’s so good! I’m sure you two would hit it up right away,” she assures me, she was very sure about it, and I so I nod my head believing her.
After the school, I was ready to run away, I knew I’d be safe with Theo but how safe? Would he hurt me, I didn’t think he would, I walked away with him toward his car, he was driving us, we went toward the town again, but we didn’t go toward the same dinner as yesterday, we went somehwere else today, a park.
“This is my favourite place in the town,” Theo tells me.
“It’s beautiful,” I agree with him.
“I’m glad you like it, I brought u here so we can talk,” he says and I nod, is this the point where he kills me?
“Okay?” I say listening to him.
“Stella, you’re my soul,” he says and I looked at him confused.
“That’s sweet Theo, but it doesn’t work like that, we just met,” I say blushing, I believe in love from first sight, but that only happens in stories.
“And that’s all I needed, to see you and I knew you were mine,” Theo says and I rolled my eyes at him, that’s not even funny.
“Theo, I’m not your soulmate, I like you, but it doesn’t work like this,” I say trying to explain it to him slowly not to hurt him.
“I didn’t say soulmates, I don’t have a soul, but you do,” he says, and I chuckled at him.
“Theo, we all have souls, and I like you and all, but you’re scaring me,” I say and he looks at me with a look that terrified me, his silver eyes black, they were silver but now they were black and he was furious.
“I don’t have one, I have you,” Theo says but that didn’t make any sense, everyone has a soul, and no matter what he things, I wasn’t his and he’s terrifying me, with every second that passed he got angrier and I got more scared, so I took off, I ran off not looking back behind me, I don’t know what’s wrong with Theo but he better keep a lot of distance between us.
