Night

Ashlynn POV.
The rest of the day passed like that, cuddling and hugging, I tried to ask him more about his life before we came here, and what pack he was from, but he wouldn’t tell me. I asked why he was over at Micah’s place, but he said he was there for me only, but when I tried to get more information about where he was born, and “how did he live his life, I got nothing, absolutely nothing, he won’t answer any of those personal questions.
“At least tell me what’s your favourite colour,” I beg him, I want to know something, anything about him, even if it’s just his favourite colour.
“I like orange,” he says with a smile, finally I got one piece of information out of him.
“Do you want to have dinner?” I ask him, I hoped Eli wasn’t as picky as little Eliot.
“Yes, princess, come on, I’ll cook you tonight,” he promises me, getting out of the bed, holding my hand we both went down to the kitchen to have the dinner ready, he didn’t look any picky while picking the ingredient for the meal, he got steaks and veggies for the two of us.
“Sit down princess,” he orders me picking me up by the waist again, and placing me on the counter, while he moved around the place, he knew his way around the kitchen, cooking our food.
“Who taught you how to cook?” I ask him, he knew what he was doing, much better than me who could cook, but not that well.
“I’m self-taught,” he says, but again that doesn’t make sense, he doesn’t want to answer me.
“You must have lived with someone before being alone!” I say getting frustrated with him.
“I’m not talking princess, why don’t you tell me more about you?” he says throwing the questions back at me, I don’t mind telling him about my family, I love my family, all of them.
“I told you everything,” I say rolling my eyes, I told him about my family, but not about Amber, I’ll never talk about her.
“Dinner is ready princess, want me to cut it for you?” he asks me, I rolled my eyes, I’m not a little, I can cut my own food, but who am I to say no to being spoiled.
“Sure, but I’m not a little,” I warn him, making him smile.
“You’re my princess in and out of your little space,” he says making me smile, I’m his princess indeed.
We sat down for dinner together, we smiled, we giggled, we shared a laugh, and finally, we cuddled ready to fall asleep, I hugged him tighter, happy to finally have someone to hold me, I’m not alone anymore, I found my other half my real other half, the one who’d never let me go, and I couldn’t be happier. Which reminds me, I need to call my family, tomorrow, I’ll tell Eli, I could use his phone, and call my mom and siblings, I bet Kitty and Micah are going crazy having me disappear from their home, the poor enforcers of theirs, they’re going to get their bums chewed, but that’s a tomorrow’s me problem, right now I’m just tired and going to sleep.
I woke up in the middle of the night, I must have been dreaming, now I sat up in the bed stretching and yawning, I felt all energized, I was done sleeping, I must be jetlagged after being shipped halfway through the world, while asleep.
I looked next to me to see Eli sleeping, I knew he was asleep, but I wanted to wake him up, he’s the one who messed up the medication and had me asleep for more than twenty-four hours.
“Eli,” I say shaking him awake, but he wouldn’t wake up, I kept on shaking him over and over, but he must be a heavy sleeper, he wouldn’t budge, I groaned again seeing him asleep and me fully awake, I left the bed, going out to wander in the house, it’s just the two of us. I walked around looking for something to entertain me, I moved to the kitchen, got a glass of water, and then moved to look at the darkness out of the window.
My eyes were starting to close again on their own, with me sitting on the window ledge, that’s when I heard noises coming from behind me, I expected it to be my mate, it’s my mate of course, who else is in the house, and island but for us two.
“Little Ashlynn, where did you go?” I heard a woman’s voice asks, I turned back and felt my heart stop, it’s not beating anymore, the person behind me had me frozen, the voice had me freezing.
“How… how did you come here?” I ask her, how did she make it to the island, the only way in is a boat, I don’t think there was a boat coming in.
“The mate of yours called me in, he said I should come to get you,” she says, but that can’t be true, I shook my head no, and in response, she slapped my face, hard making my eyes fill with tears.
“No, he didn’t he can’t,” I say in desperation.
“Oh, dear mate of hers!” Amber yells, and in came my sleeping mate, the one who I couldn’t wake up, he came in fully awake.
“Yes dear?” he says to Amber, not to me.
“I’m here to collect the burden,” she says, pointing at me.
“Good riddance, she whines too much,” Eli says leaving us, just me and her, he went back to sleep.
I looked at her ice-cold eyes, the way she was looking at me like I’m her meal, she took hold of my hair and dragged me off my place, I screamed in pain as I felt my scalp going on fire. She kept dragging me out of the house, while I screamed and I screamed, I was sold by my own mate, the one who should have protected me.
“Ashlynn, Ashlynn, princess,” I heard my name being called by my mate, the pain was disappearing, Amber’s face have disappeared, instead I could only see darkness, and the movement of being shaken, until my eyes opened.
“E… Eli…. you gave me up, you gave me up,” I say with tears falling down my face, I saw him do it.
“Gave you up? Not ever, never baby, you are mine, just mine,” he says hugging me as I cry.
“You gave me up,” I accuse him again, tears still falling down my face.
“I’ll never, it was just a dream honey, just a dream,” he promises me hugging me.
