Jordan POV.
If I have the chance again, I’d kill Joshua, I’d kill him for hurting Micah, even if he’s mine, I waited for my mate, but I don’t blame Micah for trying to find love somewhere, anywhere, even if that place happened to be with Joshua, the good thing is he never got him, he never won my baby, but he broke his trust, he had hurt him, and he’d pay for it.
After he left the room, I locked our door, he can’t come in and out without anyone’s permission, Micah wasn’t taking it well, he was worried I’d be mad at him for what happened, but I can’t blame him, I wouldn’t, not after seeing the life he’s living here.
Everything that passed had passed, the future is with me now, he’s mine, and that’s all I care about, what’s about to happen, the future we will hold together. Micah tried to skip out of the room to get us some food, but I didn’t allow him to, I was the one who went and got us food, I made us some cold meat sandwiches.
“You promise?” Micah whines again, I haven’t been asleep for long, the pain killer, my injury, my anger, I wanted to rest but Micah wasn’t having any of it.
“Yes, I promise Micah, now if you don’t close your eyes and get some sleep, I’m going to kick that bum of yours,” I warn him.
“Nu, you won’t,” he whines, sounding like a little boy, I kissed his nose, it’s the first time we both fall asleep in the same bed and room.
“Yes, I would, now baby boy sleep,” I say in a firm voice, although it wasn’t that firm, I hugged Micah closer to my chest, my wolf wanted to come out and take the little boy, mark him as mine.
“Nu-uh, you won’t,” he says with a huff, finally deciding to fall asleep, I took a selfie of me and my sleeping boy in my arms, sending it over to Ashlynn, she sent me a few long messages about how cute we look together.
We both woke up to a knock on my door, I groaned wanting to stay asleep, but the knock kept coming, waking Micah too, I groaned, I had to answer the door.
“What?” I yell toward the locked door, the person outside landed one last knock on the door.
“Get up prince, and bring the princess with you, it’s time for training,” Joshua’s voice came through the door, I growled wanting to get up and kill him, I want to kill him already, but Micah whined, holding me back.
“No killing thoughts this early,” Micah says holding me down, I looked at him with confusion.
“You said, ‘kill, kill,’ in your wolf tone,” Micah says with a giggle, my wolf needs a kick in the bum for talking out loud without my permission.
“Let’s get ready, my princess,” I say using Joshua’s name for us, except I said it with love, Micah is my princess, my sweet princess, my lovely mate and little thing.
“I’m a princess, I don’t walk! Carry me!” Micah demands lifting both hands up for me, with a giggle, I carried him to the bathroom, let him do his business, then helped him wash up for the day, we shared my toothbrush, although we are wolves who feel like they’re living in the wild, we still need to keep our hygiene.
“Ready for the day?” I ask my mate, he only nods his head yes, I dressed him in my clothes, he’d smell like me the whole day, I didn’t think the alpha would notice, but if Joshua gets too close to him, he’d smell me on him.
“We need to be,” Micah says, we need to be strong, for each other, until we get to leave.
We walked out of the room together, joining the rest outside in the freezing cold, we skipped the stupid morning run, maybe we got the day off since we were both injured, or maybe Joshua was too scared of waking the two of us up. It’s still early in the morning, but at least the sun has come out, the crisp morning air was hitting our faces but the sun helped warm us.
The alpha was standing outside, he looked at me with a look that said I’m in deep trouble, he got something planned for us, I knew it won’t be any good.
“Since our guest, decided it’s okay to start fights,” the alpha starts, he means me, what no more running? No more assault courses? Should I be he honoured?
“Why don’t we do things our way, you want to fight, I’ll give you a fight,” the alpha says, Micah took a step in front of me, trying to protect me?
“Father, you can’t!” He says out loud, getting nose to nose with the alpha.
The alpha, his father, growled back at him, they were looking at each other, Micah isn’t a dominant wolf, he won’t be able to keep on looking the alpha in his eyes, he’ll need to submit, but he doesn’t, he keep his eyes locked with he alpha until the alpha slap him on the face, I growl angrily, that’s my mate!
“Know your place boy,” the alpha growls, I took a step toward him, I want to kill him, to avenge my little, but Micah’s eyes turned to mine, and he shook his head no.
“Now, boy, get in the ring,” the alpha order me, but which ring, I look at him with confusion.
“Ring?” I ask him again, he just chuckles, pointing with his hand to a ring, I walked in the ring, waiting for my opponent, hopefully, it’ll be Joshua.
“Jordan don’t do this,” Micah asks me, but I won’t hold back.
“I’ll be okay Micah,” I promise my mate, the alpha can throw whoever he wants in and I’d win.
“Bring him in,” the alpha yells, bring him in, I don’t care, this pack seem to be able to shock me every day, new things that are counted as ruthless, things that are happening here only.
The one that was brought in the ring was a creature, a feral one, one that held no humanity left in them, black eyes, long fangs, foam over their mouth, a rogue wolf, but not any rogue, a feral rogue, the one that needs to be put down out of their misery.
“What’s the meaning of this?” I ask the alpha, but he only laughs darkly.
“I said fight,” he ordered, the creature was let out of his chains, and it went straight to my neck.
