Jordan POV.
My mate, I could smell my mate, I ignored the alpha, his cold harsh words about me trespassing while they were waiting for me here, that doesn’t even make sense, my wolf, my human self, all my senses were locked to that boy, the guy with blond locks, the one that’s running away from me now, I growled, ‘mate loves to chase’, my wolf says with a smile, he wants to chase after him too.
“Are you even listening boy? what did the alpha send me a deficient wolf?” the alpha says at the mention of my mother yet again, I turned to him with a growl, how dare he talks about my mother or me, all I want to do is take my mate and run, I want to take him, but first I need to go and catch him.
“What do you want?” I growl at him feeling angry, he’s standing between me and my mate, the one I was dying to find, I found him, he’s the best thing that ever happened to me, that’s ever going to happen to me, I want him, I want to get to him, to hold him and hug him, and tell him how much I love him.
The god, have decided to give me a male for a mate, I didn’t mind that, I would take anything that the gods would give me, a mate is all I wanted no matter what their sex might be, the alpha didn’t like the way I’m talking to him either, he growled back at me, his voice taking his alpha tone, trying to scare me, but that doesn’t work, it never worked on me growing up, the only person who could dominate me was my own mother, alpha or not he doesn’t scare me.
“Get in the car,” he ordered me, I wanted to say no, to go get my mate and get away, but if my mate is a part of this pack, I won’t be able to take him away, not like this, not until I find him.
“Okay,” I agree with the alpha, getting in the car with his two enforcers, my mind kept going back to my mate, when would I see him again, when would he come, would he mind me being a male too, would he mind leaving this pack, I want to take him back to my pack. All these thoughts were running through my brain as we drove off, I hated coming here, then I didn’t mind it, but now, now I refuse to leave until I take my mate along with me, coming here was the best choice ever, I should thank my mom for it.
“You always daydream boy?” the alpha asks me in his rough voice, I decided to call him, captain grouchy pants, I only turned to him with a glare.
“Daydreaming would cost you your head or a toe,” he says with a chuckle, I don’t get the joke, I don’t smile or laugh back to him, instead I keep reminding myself I need to be here to find my mate.
“Where are we going?” I ask him instead, are we going to find my mate? My wolf asks, I only nod my head to my wolf, waiting for the alpha to answer me.
“You’ll be getting the grand tour of our pack, my boys would show you the way, training starts next week, your alpha requested I gave you a transition time,” he says, voice filled with disgust, he believes that I’m a spoiled kid, I don’t comment, a week of transition time must be mother’s idea, she always wants everyone to take good care of themselves, to take their time, and do their best, training included.
A week is enough time to find my mate, to make him fall for me, I love him already, I don’t even know his name, but I love him, suddenly blond locks with blue eyes are my type, his aqua blue eyes are the most beautiful colour ever. The car parked in front of a grey house, it looked like a place out of horror movies, the grey walls, windows with railing, there was no sound around the house, no sign of living, this place looks like a sad excuse for a house, this was nothing like my house back at home.
“It’s nothing fancy, but it’s home for us, and you for the next few months,” the alpha says in his proud voice, he should see mom’s home, that’s what I call a house, you could feel the warmth even before walking in.
Another car stopped after ours, I saw a guy coming out of the car, he looked me up and down, licking his lips, I rolled my eyes at him and his cheap ways, I looked at the other part of his car, the seat up front, the one where the person didn’t come out of, I saw him, my mate, sitting there, but he wasn’t looking at me, instead, he was avoiding me, I didn’t want to do a fuss, not right now, not when the alpha was standing close.
“What do you want us to do alpha?” the guy asks him, while I keep on eyeing my mate, his eyes look up at me when ours met I couldn’t help but smile, he blushed and looked away, a shy mate, my shy mate.
“Take my good for nothing son along with you, and give this boy a tour around here, make him feel welcomed or not,” the alpha says with another dark smile, he was enjoying this too much, I kept looking at the front seat, at my mate, until he got out too.
“Come on Micah let’s give him the grand tour,” the guy says, Micah, my mate, that’s his name, a beautiful name to match my beautiful mate.
“I’m Jordan,” I say my eyes locked on my mate, he took a breath, let it out but didn’t say anything.
“I’m Joshua let’s go,” he says starting to walk inside the house with me following after him with my mate walking next to me, he did his best to avoid me, I didn’t say anything yet, waiting to get my mate alone.
The house was cold and lonely inside, even colder than the outside, when Joshua walked around showing me the rooms, he informed me that all the enforcers in training stay here, the alpha his mate and son, and finally him and his parents, he mentioned he’s the beta ten times already, and I rolled my eyes at him every single time.
