Christian sat at his desk, the phone pressed to his ear.”Yes, yes, Saturday at 8:00 p. m. for two. Yes, I understand your branch is very popular, but I’m sure you can manage. What time? “He takes a quick look at his watch.”Errm evening.”
“Saturday evening,”he corrected.
The reply made him uncomfortable, seeing that his number was somewhat special he had not been expecting that he’d be faced with the comment’s that she’d be making at that point… wherever she was.
“You know who is talking right.”He asked again.
The back and forth went on for a while but soon he was relaxing back in his chair with a look of satisfaction right there on his face.
He leaned back in his chair, satisfied as he hung up the phone. Dinner reservations secured, he opened his laptop and began typing.
It was going to be a long day but already he had made that promise to himself that he was going to do all that was within his strength to do what he could to let her understand his plight.
With the dinner reservations made, Christian turned to his laptop and opened his email.
He typed:
Love;
I hope you’ve been well. I’m writing to invite you to a special dinner on Saturday night. There’s a new restaurant I’ve been wanting to try, and I thought you’d be the perfect companion. Please let me know if you’re available. I look forward to hearing from you.
Christian”
With a few clicks, the email was sent. Now, all he could do was wait, he thought to himself, recently talking to her had been a bit difficult, and he was hoping that she would say yes to what he had just asked.
In a way, it felt like his Only way out and he would do anything to satisfy that bit of anxiety at that moment –
Damien, Christian’s efficient and dutiful manager, entered his office bearing a large package.
“Christian,”Damien said, placing the package on his desk, “this just arrived for you. Would you like me to send it to your home address?”
“Yes, Damien, please do,”Christian replied, not looking up from his laptop.”And make sure it’s there by Saturday. That should give you plenty of time.”
“Certainly, sir,”Damien said, a hint of curiosity in his voice.”Anything special happening on Saturday?”
Christian just sighed and ordered Damien to deliver the parcel claiming it was important.
Sometimes words will only clutter a space in her mind, still at the same time he couldn’t get the thought out of his mind.
He sat there in the office pondering over the thoughts again. The funny thing about all of these facts was his inability to get himself to be in the right frame of mind to Speak with her.
The entire situation left a huge weight in his chest enough that he could feel It pressing against his chest, he had his shirtsleeves rolled up and his suit jacket was off-
Filling a cup with wine he took a rather long gulp and sighed heavily.
He had to do this.

Antonia’s phone rang, and she picked it up, expecting a call from a friend. But the voice on the other end was unfamiliar.
“Good afternoon, Ms. Antonia,”a polite voice said.”This is Damien, Mr. Christian assistant. I’m calling to let you know that a package has been delivered to your apartment. Mr. Christian requested that I personally oversee its delivery. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can assist you with.”With that Damien left
Intrigued, Antonia opened the parcel to reveal a stunning evening gown, delicate and elegant. She ran her fingers over the fabric, marveling at the quality. And then, a note fell out.
“Antonia,”the note read,
“Please wear this dress to our dinner tomorrow night. I look forward to seeing you. – Christian”
A thrill of excitement and anticipation ran through Antonia as she carefully hung the dress in her closet, wondering what kind of evening Christian had planned. She spent hours getting ready, her heart racing with each passing minute.
As the clock ticked. Ice clinked in a tumbler glass. She couldn’t wait as each minute felt to her as eternity.
Still beneath all the excitement was a feeling of anxiety. She had a certain distaste emanating from her soul as she occupied a chair leaning back with one palm under her jaw.
Truthfully, she enjoyed the atmosphere. She could survive the tense, awkward feeling it gave her but when it came down to that last fact, she was not aware of what to do.
“what do I expect now!”The words cut the quiet like a knife through the air.
Her gaze found the cloth on the bed again, this time through a haze as she let out a sardonic breath, shaking her head.
My jaw ticked. Much as did not like being told what she couldn’t fucking have, she didn’t want to raise her expectations.
She glances again at the time.

Later that evening, Christian picked Antonia up in a sleek black car, his eyes sparkling as he opened the door for her.
“You look stunning, Antonia,”he said, a smile playing on his lips.
Antonia blushed, touched by the compliment.”Thank you. This dress is beautiful, but I have to admit, I’m a little curious about tonight’s dinner. Is it really just a new restaurant?”
Christian chuckled, his eyes twinkling with mischief.”You’ll just have to wait and see, my dear. It’s a surprise.
Christian couldn’t take his eyes off Antonia, the elegant dress hugging her curves in all the right places. He was impressed with his choice of gift, a beaming smile adorning his face as he watched her gracefully slide into the car.
“You really are a vision tonight, Antonia,”he said, reaching over to take her hand, his thumb tracing circles on the back of her palm.”I’m glad you like the dress. It looks even more stunning on you than I imagined.”
Antonia’s face flushed, a warm tingle spreading through her body at his touch.
When Antonia instinctively attempted to withdraw her hand, Christian’s grip tightened ever so slightly, stopping her in her tracks. His eyes locked with hers, a playful glint shining in their depths.
“Now, now,”he murmured, his tone teasing yet assured, “Don’t be shy. I’m only complimenting you, my dear. You deserve to be admired.”
The raw intensity of his gaze sent shivers down Antonia’s spine, making it difficult for her to resist his charm.
As Christian pulled Antonia closer, she found her thoughts once again consumed by curiosity. What could he be up to? This night already seemed more intimate than their previous encounters, and the anticipation was driving her wild.
“Christian,”she whispered, her voice barely audible above the hum of the engine, “I must admit, I’m quite intrigued by all this. What exactly is the occasion?”
Christian leaned in, his lips brushing against her ear as he replied, “Patience, my dear Antonia. All will be revealed in due time. For now, just enjoy the moment.”
Antonia’s breath quickened, her skin tingling as she felt the warmth of Christian’s breath against her ear. His closeness was intoxicating, his words like a seductive promise of things to come.
She shivered again, this time from a combination of anticipation and desire. This wasn’t just a casual dinner date, she realized with mounting excitement. There was something more going on here, something deeper and more intense.
She swallowed hard, steeling herself as the car ride turned quiet.
As the car came to a halt, Antonia turned towards Christian, her eyes shining with anticipation.
“Christian,”she said, her voice a mixture of eagerness and curiosity, “Please, tell me what’s going on. What’s the surprise?”
Christian responded with a devilish smirk, his gaze lingering on her face.
“You’ll find out soon enough, my dear. Trust me, it will be worth the wait.”
There was nothing but silence as they drove off . In fact, the quiet seemed to eat at her the
entire drive till a point that all she did was look out of the glass as he sped past.
And the worst thing about it was he smelled so good, so good that she couldn’t get her mind away from him at the moment.
The events of today hit her mind, sinking Into it deeply, it left numbness behind that nothing at that time and moment seemed to penetrate.
There was that feeling of anxiety and panic, as the car pulled to a stop.
Antonia’s pulse quickened, her mind racing with possibilities as Christian helped her out of the car. Whatever this surprise was, it promised to be unforgettable.
Antonia hesitated, letting her gaze trail over Christian’s features as he stood beside her. He was dressed impeccably, the cut of his suit accentuating his athletic frame. The confidence and mystery radiating from him were irresistible, leaving Antonia feeling both fascinated and slightly off balance.
She noticed the hint of a dimple when he smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. His dark hair was immaculately styled, glistening under the streetlights.
There was something about him, she thought, that made him irresistible. And tonight, it seemed that he was holding all the cards.
She couldn’t tell what it was so she thought that it was for her to wait.
She sighed deeply again, time here wasn’t a factor…
She was left with no choice as she was at his mercy, she had to wait.
No possible options than to do that … wait.
She stole a quick look at him.
