He stared helplessly at Antonia, lost at words.
“Cat got your tongue?”Antonia asked in a mocking tone and laughed at him.
Christian frowned and looked away “Stop this Antonia, I already told you that you are important to me, why should you let this be a problem to you?”He asked.
“Why should answering my question be a problem? Or you’re afraid of…,”
Christian pretended to receive a call “What?! How did it happen? Where? Alright, I’ll be there,”he said and picked up his clothes, wore them and signaled to Antonia he was coming back later. He hurriedly put on his clothes and left.
“Finding a way to run isn’t it?! I won’t let this slide!”She clenched her fist angrily as she stared at the door.

It was late when he got back, silently, he entered the living room. It was dark, he turned on the light and gracefully, Antonia was not in there.
He took a deep breath and climbed up the stairs, proceeding to his room, he passed by Antonia’s room, she was sleeping peacefully. There was a feeling of sadness on his face when he remembered the What happened between him and Antonia.
“I’m sorry, “he muttered and closed the door silently then walked into the next room.
He sat down on his bed, diving deep into his thoughts. He had not had enough time to think about the matter, what was he to do now that Antonia knew about Alex?
Who was going to choose? His contract wife and her kids, or his legal wife. His brain was in a mess as he was put in a situation he couldn’t handle.
He brought out his phone from his pocket and went to his gallery, he stared at the pictures of the kids, there was a look of sadness and loneliness on his face. He felt pity for the kids. But there was nothing he could do.
He wouldn’t exactly say he loved the kids, but when it came to Antonia, he was willing to do anything that would make her angry. She was selfish, he was the cause of it.
He stared at the photos one last time before deleting it. His heart felt as though a huge rock was put on it, he couldn’t breathe well. He felt great pity for the kids, but he still had to do it. He had to choose Antonia.
He didn’t realize he was crying until a drop of light fell on his phone screen. He cleaned his face and turned off the phone, then stood up and went into the bathroom to cool off his head.
Will the kids hate him for his decision? Will they still love him even after choosing Antonia over them? He hoped they would understand, and he prayed in his heart for Laura to forgive him.
After taking a shower, he went to bed to sleep.

Antonia’s eyes opened slowly as soon as Christian left, she had seen the look on his face, he looked like he was suffering in silence, and she knew she was the cause of it.
Was she too greedy? Was she selfish to have asked him to choose between her and the kids? She cried silently, what if Christian didn’t choose her? The children were still innocent and young, and she didn’t have much confidence that Christian was going to choose her.
Slowly, she closed her eyes and forced herself to sleep, preparing for what was to come next.
She woke up early the next day and took her bath, while in the bathroom, she made up her mind to dismiss the matter when Christian woke.

Christian woke up a bit late, he stood up from the bed to see if Antonia was still sleeping. She wasn’t in her room when he got there, his heart missed a bit and he hurried downstairs.
The aroma of food caught his nose and he followed it to the kitchen, where he saw Antonia cooking happily as she hummed a song to herself.
She looked happy, which was quite unusual. He was going to slip unnoticed, but he had been discovered by Antonia.
“Good morning love!”Her voice was clear and sounded beautiful.
“Morning,”Christian muttered under his breath.”About what you askes yesterday, I have decided that-”
“Shh. Say nothing Christian,”Antonia said, cutting him short as she put her finger on his lips.
“I’m sorry for being selfish and self centered, I put you in a tight spot, I’m really sorry about that, sorry I had to make you choose between me and the kids,”Christian was surprised at the turn of tables.
“But you-“once again he was cut short.
“Don’t worry about me Christian, I’m fine! Look at me!”She exclaimed, he hugged her tightly. The heavy stone seemed to have been lifted from his heart, he looked at the lady in front of him and kissed her passionately..
Antonia pushed him, “I don’t want the food to get burned, quickly go up and take a shower, the food must have been ready before you come back,”she said and gave him a light kiss, then pushed him out of the kitchen.
He rushed up to his room to take his bath, and when he came down, food was ready. He ate happily and was given a goodbye kiss by Antonia before leaving for work.
While at work, he called Damien to ask for his opinion on who to choose between the two women, but Damien’s response only added salt to his wounds.
“I think you should just end things with Laura,”Christian gave Damien a Sharp look.
“And what about the kids?”Christian asked.
“But if you really love Antonia and you want peace to reign in your house, you have to end things with Laura first. Maybe some explanation might make her understand,”Damien suggested.
Christian didn’t feel good about this, he couldn’t bring himself to hurt Laura’s feelings. Neither could he hurt Antonia.
The thought about this broke his heart, he wished some miracles would happen and he would be free from this.
