Walking out of the house, Christian noticed a car by the garage, he furrowed his eyebrows as the car looked familiar.
He tried to look who was in the car, but because he was far from the car, he couldn’t see anything, still with his heart raging wildly with the need to get rid of the curiosity he felt –
He headed towards the car, each step he took made his heart beat loudly, till it was heavy and stiff as he hoped it wasn’t what he was thinking.
Just as he was about to reach the car, Alex suddenly called out to him.
“What are you doing?”The lad asked, confused at what Christian was going to do in another person’s car. Christian halted and turned to the lad.
“Nothing.”He replied and turned to look at the car, he shut his mouth tightly and turned to Alex.
“Are you sure about that? You look like you’re looking for something,”Alex replied with an innocent look. Christian smiled and walked over to Alex.
“Don’t worry, there’s nothing, okay?”He said and Alex nodded. Christian stretched out his hand to the little boy who excitedly grabbed it as they made their way to their car.
Christian turned around and gave the parked car a last look, before entering the car. He then drove off.
He was starting to regret coming there in the first place, what had started out as just a trip to be checked on by them had turned to him having to babysit- something he hated but was left with no choice.
Just as they left, Antonia who let out a long sigh and breathed heavily, she had been holding her breath and didn’t know dropped her head on the wheel.
What if he had seen her? What would she have told him? What excuse would she have given him?
She opened the car, but didn’t go out as she had a second thought about going in to confront Laura. But she frowned, was there a need to go? She felt uneasy and closed the car then drove away.

Christian and young Alex arrived at a basketball game, they took a seat along the front roll. The game had not yet started since more people were coming in.
After a while, the seats were filled and the game was about to start. The audience started screaming as the players came in on the playground.
“Which team do you think might win?”Alex asked, his little voice trying to get to Christian amidst the loud cheering noise of the audience.
But Christians mind wasn’t on the game as he was filled with worry about the car he had seen earlier.
“Did you hear what I said?”Alex shouted as he shoved Christian. Christian snapped out of his thoughts and turned to the little boy.
“What?”He asked. Alex frowned as he stared at Christian.
“Are you alright? I was talking to you but you didn’t seem to hear me,”Alex replied.
“I didn’t know, I’m sorry,”Christian apologized.”What did you say?”he asked.
“I asked which team you think might win this game,”Alex repeated and turned to the players who had started playing.
Christian shrugged, “Not certain, but team red might win,”he replied, but the young lad didn’t pay attention to his response as he was already focused on the game.
Christian sighed, and his mind went back to the car. Who was in there? Was it Antonia? What had she come to do? Why was she there? His mind became uneasy, as he was filled with suspicions towards Antonia.
He decided to call Damien, his manager. His call was picked at the first ring.
“Hello Sir,”Damien greeted as he wondered why Christian had called him.
“I want you to go home and check if Antonia is at home,”Christian ordered.
“Alright sir, I’ll be on my way now,”Damien replied, Christian disconnects the call without another word. Then he stretched his hand as he watched the basketball, but his mind was not focused on the game.
After a long while, his phone rang and he immediately received it.
“Is she in?”He asked Damien.
“No sir,”Damien replied and paused, then continued “There’s no one home,”Damien added.
Christian gripped his phone hard in anger, his suspicions were confirmed. Why was Antonia there? What had she come to do? Was she following him? Many thoughts ran in his mind on why Antonia had come.
He was furious, but managed to calm himself down. Promising himself to investigate why she was there. He decided to call her, but her phone was not reachable. Indeed it was her!
His eyes darkened, this didn’t go unnoticed by the young Alex who appeared to be scared of Christian expression. Christian noticed the little boy and took a deep breath.
“Are… Are you fine?”Alex stumbled upon his words as he asked out of concern.
“I am, little man,”Christians voice came out hard which made Alex not believe him.
“You look scary,”Alex said, Christian looked up at him.
“Let’s go home,”Christian said and stood up to leave, even though Alex was reluctant to go home as the game was yet to end, he still followed the furious Christian out of the hall.
When they got outside, Christian tried Antonia’s number once again, but it was still not reachable.
“Wait till I get home!”He said through gritted teeth and got into the car then drove off.
When he got home, the house was as empty like Damien had said. Why? Why did she leave and follow him?
He turned to Alex, “You go on to your room,”he said and Alex obediently went to his room. Christian smiles slyly, and sits on the couch, omitting a dangerous aura as his eyes darkened at the thought of Antonia tracing him.

Antonia got home half an hour later, she parked her car. The house didn’t look like anyone was in, she sighed and got down from the car.
But she was shocked to find Christian’s car parked, he was home? What was she to tell him? She cautiously walked over to the door, and silently pulled the door knob. She opened the door and tip toed.
The living room was dark, she went over to the switch and turned it on. Her mind flew when she saw a familiar figure sitting on the couch with an expressionless face.
“Where are you coming from?”
