Chapter 15
Christian stepped into his spacious hotel room, the door closing behind him with a soft click. The air was cool and fragrant, carrying a hint of luxury that permeated every corner of the space. As he crossed the threshold, he let out a tired sigh, the weight of the day’s events settling heavily on his shoulders.
The room was expansive, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the city skyline below. Soft ambient lighting bathed the space in a warm, inviting glow, casting shadows that danced across the polished marble floors. In the corner, a sleek minibar beckoned with an array of tempting refreshments, while a plush sofa and armchairs invited guests to relax and unwind.
Christian made his way to the center of the room, his footsteps echoing softly against the plush carpeting. With practiced ease, he began to shed his suit jacket, the fabric slipping off his shoulders with a sigh of relief. Next came his tie, which he loosened with a quick tug before tossing it onto the nearest chair.
As he moved to unbutton his crisp white shirt, Christian couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer extravagance of his surroundings. The hotel room was unlike any he had stayed in before, with its opulent furnishings and attention to detail that spoke of luxury and refinement.
The lounge area was particularly impressive, with its sprawling layout and exotic accents that hinted at far-flung destinations. A richly patterned rug stretched across the floor, its intricate designs weaving a tapestry of color and texture. Above, a stunning chandelier hung from the ceiling, its shimmering crystals casting prisms of light that danced across the room.
Settling onto the sofa, Christian finally kicked off his shoes and leaned back against the plush cushions, his eyes drifting closed as he allowed himself a moment of respite.
His mind suddenly flashed back to the scene with Laura. He wondered what she meant by that. He really didn’t want to be bothered as he wasn’t the type to be bothered by things like that but he hated being confused. He was confused at that moment.
He brought out his phone and texted his wife which she responded almost immediately.
After informing her about his arrival at the hotel and everything other thing
~Did you meet Laura Gracias again after the other night~ He questioned.
~Nope~ Antonia responded.
~ She claimed you messaged her about something which seemed to be a misunderstanding ~ He texted again.
~ Well, I did text her and it wasn’t a misunderstanding. You told me yourself ~ Antonia replied.
~ What was it I told you about? ~ Christian was still confused.
~ She proposed the idea to be at this gathering together with you, didn’t she? ‘just for the public view’ of course ~ Antonia responded sarcastically.
“Oh” Christian muttered when he realized the mistake was on his part.
~ Why did you message her because of that? ~
~ Don’t I have a right to do so? ~ She seemed angry through the text.
~ She didn’t propose the idea, I did. I got it missed up while telling you. I did so solely for the public view, nothing else ~ Christian texted and then dropped his phone. He got up and headed for the bathroom.
As Christian stepped into the bathroom, the opulence of the hotel’s interior followed him, with marble countertops and gleaming fixtures lending an air of sophistication to the space. He splashed cold water onto his face, hoping to clear his mind of the lingering confusion and tension.
As droplets of water dripped down his skin, Christian couldn’t shake the feeling of guilt that gnawed at him. He had inadvertently caused a misunderstanding between Antonia and Laura, and the thought weighed heavily on his conscience.
The last thing he wanted was for Antonia and Laura to have issues. Thought it was almost impossible but he really hoped everything could go well as planned for the next two years.

In another corner of the luxurious hotel, nestled high above the city streets, was a hotel room that exuded an aura of exotic elegance. The spacious suite boasted panoramic views of the glittering skyline, with floor-to-ceiling windows that framed the cityscape like a masterpiece. Rich, mahogany furnishings lent a sense of old-world charm to the room, while intricate tapestries adorned the walls, adding a touch of opulence to the space.
In the center of the room, a sleek, modern workstation commanded attention, its sleek lines and state-of-the-art technology a testament to the room’s contemporary luxury. A large, curved monitor dominated the desk, surrounded by an array of peripherals and gadgets that spoke to the occupant’s tech-savvy nature. A steaming cup of coffee sat beside the keyboard, its rich aroma mingling with the scent of leather and mahogany that permeated the air.
Seated at the workstation was a young man whose striking appearance matched the lavish surroundings of the room. His dark hair was styled in a tousled manner, framing his face in a way that accentuated his strong jawline and high cheekbones.
As he worked diligently on his system, his long fingers danced across the keyboard with practiced ease, navigating through lines of code and algorithms with precision. His focused expression was softened slightly by the gentle curve of his lips, hinting at a quiet confidence and intelligence that lay beneath the surface.
Despite the intensity of his work, there was a sense of calm and control about him, as if he were perfectly at home in the midst of chaos. With each keystroke, he seemed to unlock a new layer of potential, tapping into a reservoir of knowledge and skill that set him apart from the rest.
As the soft glow of the monitor illuminated his features, casting shadows that played across his sculpted face, it was clear that this young man was more than just a face in the crowd. He was a force to be reckoned with, a master of his craft, and in this moment, he was unstoppable.
