The car soon stopped in front of a lavish restaurant on top of a mountain. Kylie was lost staring at the natural beauty of the location and the decor of the restaurant.
“Look here,” suddenly Alan called her. As soon as Kylie turned to face him she heard the click of a camera.
“There we go. The perfect selfie of the perfect couple,” he said with a grin.
“Invading privacy or taking photos without permission are crimes, don’t you know that?” Kylie asked angrily.
“I am a celebrity and public figure so I can click selfies with my fans. I don’t see any legal issues here,” he just shrugged his shoulder and got out of the car. Kylie sighed to calm her nerves down then followed him.
“Don’t you think we should enter holding hands? See all the couples here are holding hands and acting so cozy,” Alan tried to hold her hand but Kylie walked past him.
“Your loss then,” he said and caught up with her. Alan was wearing a cap with a black mask and black sunglasses. No one could guess who it was by the way he dressed. As soon as they reached the reception area he stepped forward and whispered his name to the manager. The manager smiled widely with a slight bow and took them to a private room.
“Please enjoy your time here Sir and Madam. Our waiter will be here soon to take your orders,” said the manager before leaving the private room.
As soon as the manager left the room, Kylie’s phone rang. She fished the mobile from her bag and saw Sebastian’s name flashing on the screen. If he found out that she was out with another man he would definitely punish her with his crinky ways. Thinking of this, she put the phone aside.
“What is your relationship with Sebastian Smith?” Alan asked out of the blue.
“He is my boss and I am his secretary in one of his companies,” she replied nonchalantly sipping on her drink.
“If you were just boss and subordinate then why are you living in his penthouse apartment? Not only this you went to meet his grandmother yesterday,” Alan raised his brows. The playfulness in him was long gone. He sounded more like a mature businessman at that moment.
“Have you investigated me?” Kylie asked with a frown. There was no other way he would find out so much about her. This time Alan looked a little guilty.
“Why did you investigate me? What’s your motive? What do you want to do with me>?” she asked impatiently.
“Calm down, Angry bird, otherwise you are going to explode. I am interested in you, so it’s normal for me to investigate about you. But you haven’t replied to my question yet,” Alan said. His eyes were sharp and ready to pierce through her soul.
“What I do in my private life is none of your business,” she dismissed him. Alan wanted to continue but was stopped after hearing a knock on the door, A waiter came inside with two menus. He handed the menus to them and waited patiently for their orders.
Though Kylie was too hungry a few minutes ago she lost her appetite after their argument so she only ordered a simple chicken pasta and juice. Aland ordered steak and mashed potatoes along with wine. After the waiter left, Kylie’s phone rang again.
“Pick up his call, I know him more than you do. If you don’t pick up that call then he would continue calling and spoil our date,” Alan said scrolling his mobile. At first, Kylie was hesitant but then after giving it a thought, she picked up the call.
“When did you become his girlfriend,” came an ice-cold voice from the other end of the call as soon as Kylie put the phone on her ear.
“What do you mean?” Kylie blurted out.
“What are you doing with Alan?” he asked again, this time his voice was colder than before. Subconsciously Kylie looked around the restaurant through the glass window. She thought he might have seen her coming inside but he wasn’t there.
“How did you know? Where are you? Aren’t you on a business trip?” Kylie asked all these question in a row.
“So, you thought since I was not in the country then you are free to fool around with other men? Kylie Johnson, how shameless can you be? Don’t forget that you are still my legal wife and the life of your parents are still on my hand,” he shouted from the other end of the call. Kylie wanted to explain to him that it was nothing but a simple dinner but before she could speak, he ended the call. She dialed his number only to realize that he already blocked her.
All this time Alan was intently watching every movement of Kylie so when she caught him staring at her, he instantly gave her a stupid grin.
Kylie didn’t give any attention to Alan, she was busy thinking about how did Sebastian know she was here. Was he keeping an eye on her? Just when she thought her head was going to explode with questions, her phone chimed indicating an incoming message.
‘HAVE YOU SEEN THE RECENT POST OF ALAN? HE WENT ON A DINNER DATE WITH HIS SECRET GIRFRIEND.’
The message was from Cindy. She was a die-hard fan of Alan. So she kept track of his every post on his social media. Kylie glanced at Alan once before entering his social media profile. The first thing she was a selfie of her Alan inside the car. Though her face was covered with a sticker those who knew her could easily recognise her. Under the photo, there was a small caption.

Kylie was fuming with anger. She slammed her hand on the table and showed the photo to Alan.
“Why did you post this photo? Everyone was thinking that I am your girlfriend,” she asked for an explanation but Alan just shrugged.
“Have you ever been to country C?” he asked her all of a sudden ignoring her question.
“Haven’t you investigated me? So you should know the answer then,” Kylie replied with gritted teeth. She made a grave mistake by coming here. How could she contact Sebastian now? What if he does something to her parents? Beads of sweat formed on her face thinking about the incoming storm.
