Kylie’s P. O. V
I rushed to the cash counter of the hospital to pay the medical bill but the nurse asked me to meet the doctor first. So I went to meet Dr. Joseph. I knocked on his cabin door and waited for a response.
“Come in,” he said from inside. I pushed open the door and saw Dr. Joseph talking to a man in a black suit. He seemed familiar. Where did I see him before?
“Hello, Doc, I went to pay my father’s bill but the nurse said I need to talk to you first,” I said after hesitating.
“Oh, Miss Johnson. Please take a sit, we were talking about your father,” said Dr. Joseph with a bright smile. I frowned subconsciously, why were they talking about my father?
“Is this something regarding his surgery? Was there any complication?” I asked worriedly.
“There’s nothing wrong with his current condition. Mr. Stanley here said that you work in one of the companies from Smith Group. So Mr. Sebastian Smith took responsibility for your father’s treatment. They want to shift your father to the Smith Private Hospital in San Francisco. There he will be operated on and receive post-operative treatment for one year. Your mother can also stay with him during this period,” The frown on my face deepened. Sebastian already paid me the money so why was he making all these arrangements? I looked back at the suited man and realized I saw him with Sebastian when he first joined our company.
“Did Mr. Smith ask you to arrange all of these things?” I asked the man who I supposed introduced himself as Mr. Stanley.
“Yes, your father will receive VIP treatment there. Also, we will arrange everything for your mother so that she can stay there to take care of him. But because it is a private hospital, you cannot go to visit him during this one year,” Mr. Stanley stated politely. He was professional and knew how to bend the words to make them sweet. So Sebastian wanted to keep my parents away from me so that I could not skip from his contract.
“Doc, what is your say in this? You said my father’s condition is too poor to shift him earlier. Then won’t it cause any harm to shift him to San Francisco?” I asked the doctor in the hope of finding a way to keep my father in front of my eyes.
“Miss Johnson, Smith Private Hospital has the best doctors in the world. Your father can get the best treatment there. Also, it will be beneficial for his post-operative care. Though I am a bit worried about his transfer too,” Dr. Joseph paused looking at Mr. Stanley.
“We already arranged an air ambulance. We can move him tonight and start the operation early morning tomorrow,” Mr. Stanley said with a confident smile. I got lost after hearing this. It was all pre-planned. He knew I would agree to sign the contract. But I was ready to do anything to save my father, so if sending him away from here can save his life then I don’t want to be carried away by my emotions. So I nodded at the two men.
“Okay, make all the arrangements. Mr. Stanley, can I talk to you in private for a moment?” I said. Before he could say anything, Dr. Joseph left the cabin to give us privacy. Once we were alone Mr. Stanley turned to face me.
“Yes, Mrs. Smith, do you have anything that you want to ask? I am all ears,” Mr. Stanley said making me shocked.
“You know?” I asked him trying to hide my shocked expression.
“I am the right-hand man and personal assistant of Mr. Smith. I prepared all the documents for both of you,” he explained proudly. I was slightly embarrassed that he knew about my slavery contract with Sebastian. I guess he noticed my embarrassment and tried to ease it.
“You can rest assured about my loyalty. Your secrets are safe with me. As Mrs. Smith, you are the wife of my boss, so I will respect you the same way I do for Mr. Smith, and protecting your secrets is part of it,” he said bowing his head.
“Thank you. Can you please hand over this card to Mr. Smith? Since he already arranged everything for my parents I don’t need it anymore,” I told him, passing the bank card Sebastian gave me earlier.
“I am afraid I cannot take it, Madam. You can return it to Mr. Smith personally. I was ordered to take you to him after sending your parents on the air ambulance,” he replied politely. I just nodded at him and put the card back in my bag.
“Let me talk with my Mom one last time and explain everything to her,” I said and he nodded to me. I turned around and left the doctor’s cabin to meet my mother.
“Mom, don’t worry Dad will get the best treatment and it is best for us. I will call you regularly. Take care of Dad and take care of your health. I will try my best to come there and meet you,” I hugged Mom one last time. Dad was already in the air ambulance, still unconscious. While Mom was crying, she didn’t want to leave me alone here.
“You also take care of your health. Do not overwork, take some rest. Also, thank your boss on our behalf, he’s a good man,” Mom said then planted a kiss on my forehead. Mr. Stanley helped Mom to get on the chopper. I said goodbye to my parents for one year once the chopper took off from the helipad.
“Mrs. Smith, it’s time for you to go back to Mr. Smith,” said Mr. Stanley gesturing for me to follow him. I wiped my tears and followed him like a robot.
Sebastian fulfilled his side of the bargain, now it was my turn. I just hope he won’t force me to do something that I will regret my whole life for taking this decision. My life as his sex slave and wife for 365 days begins from now on.
