Damian is standing at the front door, leaning on it, wearing a tight black top and jeans. He occasionally looks at his watch. He groans loudly, getting frustrated with waiting. It’s not like they are going to some special occasion. His foot keeps tapping on the ground.
It’s getting late at night…
“Melody!! What are you doing!? We are not going to some ball or party for you to dress up too much!!”
“I’m coming!!” she yells.
He grumbles under his breath. It makes him regret bringing her along. The sounds of footsteps make him lean away from the door.
“Finally, what took you so long? You just like-” his words stuck as soon as he met hers.
Melody is standing there in a different dress. It’s not the same one she showed this morning. She, wearing a black dress, reached her thigh, hugging her curve. The dress exposed her bare skin on the waist.
The dress is off-shoulder, showing her collarbone. The butler stands beside her, holding a pair of short heels in her hand.
“A woman should get ready for any occasion. It’s doesn’t matter if it big or small,” Melody rolls her eyes.
Damian’s went from her head to her tow. Observing every feature he could find. “This is not the dress you show before?”
“Oh, that dress? I think… I will wear it for some other time. I choose this one-it’s not revealing, isn’t it?”
“It even…. worse,” he mumbles, sighs deeply, pinches the bridge of his nose.
Melody furrows her eyebrows. Worse? She looks at herself, thinking it looks beautiful. Why does it look worse to him? Somehow, it makes her insecure since this is her first time going. She turns to the butler, who is holding her heels.
“Did I look worse to you?” she questioned. Her tone was soft and shaky.
The butler, taken aback, questioned, “You look fabulous, ma’am.”
“But-”
“Why do you ask him that question?” Damian steps up.
“You said I look worse,” she looks up at him, looking at him with that sad puppy eyes.
He let out a low grunt. He shouldn’t have said that, knowing this girl is anxious right now for her first time clubbing. Damian holds her shoulder to make her focus on him.
“Mel, you look… great,” he never thought of complimenting someone, “I mean it. It’s just… you look breathtaking. That’s what I mean by ‘worse’.”
The butler, who witnesses his boss saying that, tries hard to hold back his smile. He could see the tip of his ears was reddened. Someone is blushing. Damian rubbed at the back of his neck, feeling awkward with this conversation.
“Really?” her eyes light up.
“Yes,”
Melody giggles, “That’s awesome! Come, give me my heels, please!”
The butler handed it to her before letting her run out of the house, “Damian! Hurry up!!”
Damian sighs deeply and shakes his head slightly. What did he do to deserve this? He glances at the butler, who is smiling at him.
“What?” he snarls.
“Nothing, sir,” the butler clears his throat. “Have a fun night, sir,” he bowed his head before quickly walking away.
Damian let out a low huff before stepping out of the house.

The car park is at the VIP parking. The driver pulled the hand break and announced that they had arrived. Damian put away his tab and put on his gloves.
“Remember the deal we had. One wrong move, I send you back home, understand?” he firmly said.
“Aye, aye captain!!” she salutes.
He rolls his eyes and gets out of the car. Melody follows his move. Once she was out, she could hear the loud music coming from the luxurious-looking club. A lot of people line up to come in.
There’s a signboard saying ‘Grand Opening of Black Dragon Club’.
“Let’s go,” Damian gestured for her to follow.
Melody walks along with him with guards behind them. As they walk in, some people glance at their way. Who wouldn’t recognise Damian? They know this club owner related to Damian.
So, it’s not surprising to see him here.
“How much they paid to come here?” Melody asks.
“Around…. hundred? They didn’t pay to walk in here, but the drinks here are expensive,” he explains.
The bodyguard opens the door as soon as they see Damian. As soon as the big door opened, Melody couldn’t help but jaw-dropping. It looks even awesome on the inside. There’s a big dance floor, a stage for DJ performances, a lot of bar sections and a couch along with a table.
It’s dark, but the light from the stage helps her to see everything. Even it flickering and colourful.
“Wow…” she looks around.
Damian notices her steps getting slower, mesmerized by the surroundings. Not only that, he starts to notice every man in this club glance at her and some of them even eyeing her up and down.
He clenches his jaw before stepping towards her. “What are you gawking at?”
“This place is awesome! Is the second one!? Can we go to the first one next time!? I bet it’s even awesome!!” she beams.
“Mel, calm down,” Damian put his palm hand on top of her head. “It’s just a club.”
“A club!? Just a club!? Dude!! This is wholesome!! I mean, it looks like a hotel!! Or more than that!!” she says in excitement.
Yes, he knows that. Brandon is good at decorating something. That’s not the point. He couldn’t stop noticing the look of every man in this club at her. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around her shoulder.
“Let’s go. I don’t want to hear him lecturing me about being late,” Damian pulls her with him.
Melody, who is not aware of anything, just follows along. They walk toward the VIP section. While they are walking, they pass every room that is closed with a curtain. Melody looked around, and that’s when she caught a glimpse of something she shouldn’t have witnessed.
She gasps and looks away. Damian looks down at her with confusion, “What’s wrong with you?”
“I saw something…” she mumbles.
He frowns and looks at where she looks just now. A smirk appeared on his face. A man who enjoys his time with women between his legs gives him his head. Damian let out a chuckle.
She was about to lift her gaze but saw something even worse in another room. Women are tied up naked and surrounded by men. The woman moans loudly, and she seems to enjoy it.
“Ahh… why they did it here…” she hid her face on his chest.
“I told you. This place is filled with bad stuff, and yet, you didn’t believe me,” he grins. “This club offer services that you can’t imagine, dear”
“I know but… I didn’t expect to witness it with my own eyes,” Melody whines.
Damian chuckled and ushered her to the room they were supposed to be in. The guard who guarded the room bowed their head and opened the curtain. Melody saw a man sitting on the long couch, with women around him.
“Ah! There you are!! Come in!!” he smiles brightly.
Damian puts his hand on her back to usher her in and sits on the opposite couch of him. The man gestures to those women to be dismissed.
“What took you so long?” he frowns.
“I’m sorry. I got a burden,” Damian answers.
Melody glares at him, knowing he mentioned her. The man chuckles and nods in understanding.
“I understand. Anyway, how is the new club?” he smirks.
“Luxurious,” Damian simply said.
“Oh come on, I need more than that,” the man pouts.
Damian rolls his eyes, “Do you want me to write a full essay to say this club is great?”
He tapped his chin, thinking.
“Hm. You can do that,” he agreed.
“Fuck off,” Damian grumbles.
The man bursts into laughter. He wipes the tears at the corner of his eyes. The thing he loves the most is teasing his old boss.
“So… you got a woman now, boss?” he smirks. His eyes were on Melody, who was sitting beside him quietly.
“It’s not bothering you, isn’t it?” Damian rolls his eyes.
The man chuckles. He gets up and steps toward Melody before offering a hand, “Greetings, beautiful lady. I’m Brandon Walter. It’s nice to meet you,”
“Uh… Hello. I’m Melody D’ Angelo,” she accepts the handshakes.
“Pretty name,” he kisses her knuckles.
Damian smacks his head.
“Ow! Boss!!” Brandon pouts.
“Is it necessary for you to kiss her hand?” he arches his eyebrows.
“I’m just being a gentleman, geez.” Brandon rolls his eyes, “Since when do you get possessive over someone?”
He sighs, “I’m not. But hugging someone’s wife is not a good sight to see,”
“Yeah, I forgot. A wife huh? That’s so-wait,” Brandon steps halt. He looks at Damian with wide eyes. “Wife?”
“Are you deaf? She clearly said her name is Melody D’ Angelo,” Damian says with an annoyed tone.
Brandon is standing there with their mouth open. He looks at them with a disbelief expression. Damian is married? His boss is known as a tyrant and could marry a woman. He sure as hell he’s not dreaming.
“YOU WHAT!?”
His yells make Melody flinch. Damian just calms and keeps his stoic face like always. He put his arm behind her head.
“I’m married,” he blurted out.
“YOU FUCKING MARRIED!?”
“Yes,”
“OH MY GOD!!”
“STOP YELLING!!” Damian snaps at him.
Brandon closed his mouth and pushed his hair backwards. He couldn’t believe he met his boss with this kind of news.
“Boss, you are married? You… married?” he keeps repeating the same question.
“Is he okay…?” Melody whispers.
“Yeah, just mentally unstable,” Damian answers calmly.
“I thought you were gay!!” he frowns.
“WHY THE HELL EVERYONE THOUGHT I’M A GAY!?” Damian exclaims.
Melody laughs so hard. He pinches the bridge of his nose getting frustrated with all of this. Brandon was still standing there stunned, trying to absorb the new information in his head.
