Flynn looked at Lilia’s mocking expression and clicked his tongue twice, his gaze falling on her long legs.
Lilia’s long legs were enchanting, always drawing Flynn’s eyes whenever they faced each other.
It wasn’t entirely Flynn’s fault; the woman dressed too provocatively.
She wore a fitted office outfit, with a shirt that clung to her body, showcasing her straight figure and perfect curves.
Black high heels made her legs look even longer and pushed up her hips, making them appear very firm.
It was hard not to take another look.
“Where are your dog eyes looking?” Lilia felt offended, glaring fiercely at Flynn. She quickly adjusted herself to face him directly, preventing him from continuing to stare at her hips.
The feeling was as disgusting and repulsive as a beggar on the street staring at her.
Flynn couldn’t help but purse his lips, smiling insincerely. “A woman dresses up for those who appreciate her. Why get angry?”
“I was going to compliment your figure, but never mind now.”
Rose couldn’t help but let out a bitter laugh.
Lilia wanted to kill Flynn; this guy still had the nerve to tease her, which was both infuriating and amusing.
“Do I need compliments from someone like you? Just seeing you makes me sick!”
“But I must say, Ms. Sharp did well in choosing this trash as an assistant. At least he can disgust me enough to lose my appetite for a whole day,” Lilia sneered coldly.
Rose raised an eyebrow slightly.
In Lilia’s and others’ eyes, Flynn was no better than garbage.
But in her eyes, he was a gold mine worth any amount of money!
Seeing that neither of them spoke, Lilia continued to sneer. “Why didn’t you answer my question earlier? Instead, you started disgusting me. Were you trying to change the subject?”
“Did Mr. Rainier’s men kick you out after not letting you into the elevator?”
“You might as well admit it openly; no one will laugh at you.”
“After all, it’s not shameful for ants not to see gods.”
Flynn nodded with a smile. “You’re right. It’s hard for ants to see gods unless the gods have business with the ants.”
“So, if it weren’t for me having business with Ladugin, he wouldn’t have seen me.”
“You mean Mr. Rainier is an ant and you’re a god?” Lilia was first stunned, then burst into laughter.
“You’re belittling Mr. Rainier in front of me.”
“It seems his bodyguards really angered you!”
“Go ahead and vent your frustration; Mr. Rainier won’t bother with someone like you.”
Flynn looked at Lilia strangely and said, “When did Ladugin’s bodyguards anger me? They stood in the hallway seeing me off; I’m quite satisfied.”
Hearing this, Lilia couldn’t help but laugh. “I actually enjoy watching your self-deception; it’s like watching a circus clown, always making people laugh.”
“Lying without blushing is quite a skill.”
“Self-deception?” Flynn asked with interest. “Tell me how I’m deceiving myself.”
Lilia snorted coldly, disdain showing on her cold face. “Last night you made such a commotion; you must have disturbed Mr. Rainier.”
“He didn’t have his bodyguards throw you out just because he heard your names.”
“And now you’re telling me Ladugin’s bodyguards stood in the hallway seeing you off?”
“What a joke!”
Lilia found Flynn hilarious.
From some eyewitnesses, she learned that last night’s scene was quite significant; Orion and ten other family heads came.
They brought three thousand men and surrounded Cherry Blossom Inn completely.
People were clamoring in front of the building with weapons in hand.
Someone saw Ladugin get out of his car with a furious face and enter the hotel.
Clearly, Ladugin was angry about being disturbed by everyone.
Rose wanting to get a contract from him was just wishful thinking.
Even if last night’s chaos hadn’t happened, would Ladugin meet Rose based on his status?
Layla, an esteemed genius of Ostrad and a Grandmaster in medicine and martial arts, couldn’t persuade Ladugin; could Flynn?
Moreover, Ladugin had explicitly stated he wouldn’t see anyone. If Flynn and Rose went to the lobby, they’d probably be turned away immediately. How could there be talk of bodyguards seeing them off?
“So why are you here? To seek cooperation with Mr. Rainier?”
“I don’t think Layla has that much influence,” Flynn sneered.
Lilia confidently replied, “Layla called Mr. Rainier but couldn’t persuade him.”
“Mr. Rainier must be unfamiliar with our three-company alliance, so he refused Layla’s request.”
“I’ve now organized all the information about our companies’ scale, prospects, assets into documents. When Mr. Rainier comes downstairs, I’ll talk to him.”
“I’m sure once he sees these materials, he’ll invest in our alliance.”
“After all, the Sharp’s Group is very lucrative; he’ll gain significant benefits!”
Rose’s face turned cold.
She didn’t expect Lilia to be so direct about wanting to swallow up the Sharp’s Group right in front of her.
Flynn smiled and said, “Your face is pale, lips dry; you’re suffering from stomach and liver heat. If this continues, you’ll develop spots on your face.”
“I don’t want you turning into an old hag when you’re begging me in bed.”
“So let me tell you honestly: waiting here is pointless; you’d be better off going home to rest.”
Lilia’s face turned angry as she coldly replied, “Keep running your mouth; when I get Mr. Rainier’s investment, you’ll see how ridiculous you are.”
As she finished speaking, the elevator doors leading to the top floor suddenly opened, and Tabakov walked out.
Lilia’s eyes lit up as she turned to Flynn and said excitedly: “See that white man? That’s Mr. Rainier’s trusted aide Tabakov; he oversees the Gulowski family’s affairs in Ostrad.”
“I’ve met him a few times and asked him to deliver these documents to Mr. Rainier; he won’t refuse!”
With that said confidently, Lilia approached Tabakov with anticipation in her eyes.
Rose watched this scene with mixed feelings.
Lilia had to ask Tabakov just to meet Ladugin.
Flynn made one phone call and Ladugin personally came to Ostrad to see him.
The difference between Lilia and Flynn wasn’t just one level; how could their alliance win this business battle?
“We’ve already secured the investment; why waste time talking with her?” Rose asked puzzledly.
Flynn shook his head playfully and raised an eyebrow: “To look at legs of course.”
Rose chuckled speechlessly at Flynn’s response; if Lilia heard this remark she’d probably wear long skirts every day wrapping herself tightly.
While they talked casually Lilia had already reached Tabakov greeting him politely:
“Respected Mr. Tobias I’m Lilia we met six months ago at a banquet exchanging business cards.”
Tabakov paused thinking for a moment before replying:
“Oh Miss Hussain from Dragon Gate Group right? What can I do for you?”
Seeing that Tabakov recognized her boosted Lilia’s confidence instantly handing over documents saying:
“Layla called Mr. Rainier earlier wanting discuss investment matters but got refused.”
“I think maybe because Mr. Rainier doesn’t know much about us so I’ve organized some information hoping he’ll reconsider.”
