Several Miao youngsters behind Ahmed stepped forward, ready to forcibly take Quentin and Eileen away.
Seeing this, Henry blocked Quentin and Eileen, “Elder Ahmed, why are you taking them away? Let’s talk this out.”
“The chieftain ordered me to bring them over. Why do you care so much? Get out of the way!”
Ahmed shouted angrily, shoving Henry aside.
“Elder Ahmed, they are good people! Please ask the chieftain not to harm them!”
Henry blocked the way again, pleading desperately.
“Who do you think you are? If you meddle again, I’ll kill you!”
Ahmed kicked Henry to the ground.
“Father! Are you hurt?” Harry helped Henry up, glaring fiercely at Ahmed.
“Harry, I’m fine,” Henry said with a bitter smile.
Quentin and Eileen looked at Ahmed with icy expressions, their hearts burning with anger. Ahmed felt a chill run down his spine.
“What? You’re not convinced?”
“Take them all back!”
Ahmed waved his hand, and several Miao youngsters stepped forward, reaching out to grab Quentin and Eileen.
Quentin and Eileen each swung their arms, sending the Miao youngsters flying.
“Ha! You’ve got guts! You dare to resist!”
“Looks like I need to break your arms and legs to make you behave!”
“What are you waiting for? Teach them a lesson!”
Ahmed shouted angrily, his face full of disdain.
The fallen Miao youngsters got up and, along with others behind Ahmed, drew their Miao knives and charged forward with fierce roars.
Just as Ahmed was feeling triumphant, Quentin and Eileen remained calm, shielding Henry behind them.
With swift and powerful moves, they struck out. In just three breaths, the sound of knives hitting the ground and painful groans filled the air.
Quentin and Eileen were unscathed, while dozens of Miao youngsters lay on the ground, clutching their limbs or chests in agony.
“These two outsiders are so strong?!” Ahmed stood frozen in shock.
Henry was equally amazed by Quentin and Eileen’s skills. The ones lying on the ground were the chieftain’s guards from White Miao Village! Just as Harry had said, they were indeed formidable!
“Father? What’s happening at home?”
Cerys’s voice came from upstairs. Accompanied by hurried footsteps on the wooden stairs, Cerys and Aimee appeared. Cerys looked much better now.
Seeing the guards lying on the ground in pain, Cerys and Aimee were stunned, their mouths agape in shock.
“Father, did you have a conflict? Why is Elder Ahmed here?”
Cerys asked in confusion.
“Cerys? Why aren’t you resting in your room?”
Henry asked worriedly.
“Father, I’m much better now. The noise was too loud, so I came down to check. Tell me what happened!”
Seeing Cerys so anxious, Henry had no choice but to explain everything that had just happened. Cerys looked at Ahmed in disbelief.
“Elder Ahmed, why is the chieftain doing this? How could you be so cruel to my father?”
Cerys asked angrily.
“You were obstructing official duties! Defying the chieftain’s orders!”
Ahmed said disdainfully. Even though his men were beaten down, he was an elder with the chieftain’s backing; he was unyielding!
“You’re quite stubborn!” Quentin sneered coldly, walking towards Ahmed.
“What do you want?” Ahmed trembled in fear as Quentin approached.
“You know what.” Quentin cracked his knuckles, making Ahmed retreat in fear. His old bones couldn’t withstand Quentin’s strength.
Just as Quentin was about to teach Ahmed a lesson, Cerys intervened. “Quentin, he’s an elder of White Miao Village. If you hit him, the chieftain will blame us. Let him go this time.”
Cerys feared the chieftain might harm Quentin and Eileen and pleaded for mercy.
“Hmph, since Cerys is pleading for you, take your men and tell your chieftain to come see me himself!”
“This time I’ll let you off. Next time won’t be so easy.”
Quentin said coldly. He spared Ahmed to avoid making things difficult for Cerys’s family since hitting an elder would bring trouble from the village.
“I won’t dare next time. Thank you for sparing me.”
Ahmed nodded humbly and quickly led his men away. If he didn’t leave now, he might get beaten again.
Halfway out, Ahmed suddenly turned back with his arrogant demeanor restored. “Hmph, don’t think you’re so great just because you can fight. I’ll report this to the chieftain. Just wait!”
After saying that, he quickly fled without looking back. Despite his age, he moved faster than the guards.
Quentin and the others laughed at his antics. They should have beaten him up before letting him go.
In the White Miao Village chieftain’s hall, Ahmed had already arrived. A middle-aged man sat in the chieftain’s seat in the main hall.
He wore traditional Miao clothes and a hat adorned with jewels. His entire body was covered in gold and silver, exuding an aura of authority and solemnity.
Beside him stood an elder holding a staff with a crystal ball the size of a balloon on top, shining brightly.
Ahmed exaggeratedly recounted what had happened at Henry’s house.
“What? Two mere outsiders dare to be so arrogant! Take me to Henry’s house!”
The chieftain roared angrily, slamming his hand on the seat.
“Wise decision, Chieftain!” Ahmed bowed deeply to the chieftain with a sinister smile.
