Book:Married To My Ex Billionaire Uncle Published:2024-8-30

The onlookers’ eyes widened at the sight in front of them. The public display of affection was too surprising to believe. Are their marriage really based on love?
Ivy’s head was placed on Zack’s shoulder as her hand was hooked around his arm, slowly walking to the living room like they were alone in their world. Zack, in turn, had a slight smile on his face as he approached the eyes that were darting back and forth between the two.
The sound of glass shattering made everyone turn their gaze,
“I’m sorry, I…”
“Are you okay, Donna bring the first aid box quickly!” Henry, seeing her bleed, had to call the maid for help. Albert saw her blood dripping on the glass table, quickly took out a handkerchief from his pocket. Irene stretched her hand so he could help her wipe off the blood in her hand, but his next action made Ivy release her restrained snort…
Albert wiped the blood on the exquisite glass table instead!
Irene was too stunned that she left her mouth wide open in surprise; the expression on her face made Ivy burst into a quiet laughter. She couldn’t control it; everything that happened was too good and entertaining to watch…
She could tell Irene was not very happy to see her making the glass slip from her hands in response to her uncontrollable emotions.
“Don’t just stand there like a statue, help her!” Henry scolded the figure that was still stuck in a stupor. He had moved from his position since the couple arrived as he had many thoughts running through his mind. Who would have thought the woman he abandoned on her wedding would marry his uncle and they seemed happy…
“Have you gone deaf?”
“Um… um…” Henry blinked at him, lifting his nose slightly as he crossed his arm. ‘What is wrong with him?’
Then he realized, ‘okay, I get it now, his ex just paid him a visit with her hands hooked to his uncle’s.’
“Ma’am, please sit; let me clean the wound.” The maid arrived with the first aid box, as she took out the bandages. “Are you sure we shouldn’t take her to the hospital?” Henry was unnecessarily worried.
“I can tell she will be fine; it’s just a cut, it’s not a big deal for you to worry. It takes a lot more than that to hurt the daredevil.” Zack’s voice made Irene lift her face to take a good look at him. ‘Does he bear a grudge against me?’ Of course, not only she bears grudges-others could, too.
“Zack, you haven’t changed.” Roy descends the stairs with his walking stick tapping on the ground as he smiled. “But I’m happy though, at least I’m sure she can change you.”
Zack rolled his eyes, the old man; he had no idea it was a marriage of convenience.
“Stsxx, ouch.” Irene winced in pain, “take it easy.”
“I’ll be gentle if you stay steady, Ma’am.”
“Please take it easy; she has no experience in feeling pain.” Ivy said with hidden meaning behind her words. ‘If she knows how it feels to be in pain, she wouldn’t have desperately tried to hurt me.’
Irene was tempted to hurl the first aid box at her for what she said. She could only glare for a split second before forcing a fake smile.
“Does it hurt?” Dave asked as he held her hand, finally back to his senses.
“Don’t touch me.” Ivy bit her lips to refrain from saying it out loud.
Irene withdrew her hand immediately with a glare signaling what she might do if he touched her again. Dave understood and cleared his throat awkwardly.
“Dinner is ready, sir,” the mansion’s butler announced, and Henry’s mood lightened; ‘the best part’. He knew during dinner, they would talk about the things he would love to hear…
They all sat at the long dinner table in pairs with Roy at the head as he was the eldest.
“I heard a lot about you through the internet,” Roy started the conversation.
“Oh, you mean the scandal; everyone is free to express their opinion.” Ivy responded, digging into her food nonchalantly.
“So you are trying to say you didn’t seduce my…?” Dave trailed off choking as he grabbed a glass of water. Ivy couldn’t hide her smile; she knew the reason he choked on his food-the intense glare from Zack was enough to block his airway.
“About the seduction, I really believe that and I’m happy he fell for it; I must thank you, Ivy; you are one in a million.”
Ivy smiled, ‘seduce him, what a joke’. It seems Ivy was the prime focus of the family dinner after all, she broke the records as the only woman who pierced Zack Anderson’s heart.
“So where did the two of you meet?” Albert asked, not sparing her a glance.
“Well, um…”
“In a club,” Zack answered for her, and Ivy almost faced palmed herself. ‘Too much information, for heaven’s sake’.
Zack said that on purpose to indirectly tell Irene he knew about the video Kate captured on her behalf.
“Are the rumors true, Ivy?” Albert asked as he finally glanced at her. Ivy knew this question might come so she was prepared.
“No, they’re not; they are completely false.”
“Really?” Henry chimed in, dropping his fork. This was the moment he had been waiting for…
“Please explain…”
Ivy could see a smirk plastered on Irene’s face, and she returned her own share…
“It was the other way around…”
“You…” No more words could come out of Dave’s mouth as he was trapped between his desire to shush her and his fears for the man sitting opposite him.
“You wanted to say something.” Zack dropped his fork and fixed his gaze on his nephew.
“No… no… no, nothing… don’t mind me…” He said nervously as he broke into cold sweat, too terrified to deny what Ivy would say next.
“I didn’t cheat.” There was no need to embarrass him in front of his family when he could do it himself…
“Henry and Albert, take it easy; this is not an interview,” Roy said as he could sense the heat coming from Zack; if he went in, he might explode. After all, she is his wife; they had no right to question her dignity.
“So Ivy, tell us a little about your family.”
Ivy chuckled, staring at Irene. They were unaware that both of them were sisters; if they did, they would have understood she was unknowingly placed in a love triangle for a long time before she finally realized…
She gave a bitter smile and said, “I don’t have a family.”
