Book:Married To My Ex Billionaire Uncle Published:2024-8-30

The news of the billionaire and once-famous actress marriage was still hot on the search buttons. Many would have doubted their marriage, but since the words came from the billionaire himself, it was a confirmation beyond doubt.
Many view her as a seductress, seducing the billionaire just to gain wealth. Since the rich heir wasn’t good enough for her, she found a way to cling onto his uncle. But many still wondered how? She was attractive but there were other women with better social standing that came from a reputable family; she doesn’t even have a good background. She was just an actress who backed out, out of the blue with unknown reasons and since then they never heard anything about her; within a few days, she was involved in a scandal with her as the hot topic with the Anderson family. It was truly something to gossip…
“How did she end up with him?”
“So he really wasn’t gay after all…”
“At first, we thought she was miserable, but now she is the luckiest woman on earth! It’s Zack Anderson we are talking about!”
“They will break up soon, I’m sure of it…”
“I wish her good luck on her marriage.”
“She did rock this. Thumbs up.”
“How fortunate…”
The comments were endlessly flooding in and it was likely to remain on top of the search list for a long time…

Zack arrived at the villa after the wedding; the main reason he attended the wedding was because of the spreading rumors he just needed to confirm their relationship to protect Ivy from extreme slander. Nothing more than that, celebrating with his nephew was not his agenda in any way… He planned on leaving after the interview with the reporters, but he couldn’t avoid the old man; his father called him right after his interview, threatening him to turn back to the hotel and attend the wedding or else he would disown him. Zack was tired of him repeating the same threat over again so he went up to meet him. He was so excited about his marriage that he clung unto him throughout the reception, he scolded him though, but he was very glad he finally got married…
Ivy was sitting on her bed with her laptop busily typing away, now that Dave was out of the way she needed to reconnect to the industry to restart her acting career. First, she needed to find a suitable entertainment agency before submitting her portfolio; there were so many to pick from, but the issue was, will they be willing to sign her? After canceling her contract, other agencies offered her a contract but she rejected all of them, stating no reasons for the rejection, leading to some of them blacklisting her and the media tagging her as an arrogant actress. She was too naively in love then so she didn’t bother explaining herself to the media, thinking Dave’s feelings were more important. Every time she thought of the decisions she made in the past, she ends up berating herself for falling in love with such a man that was just a means to execute someone else’s scheme. But now she made a promise to herself to get back to the position she once was and beyond; even if Irene made it clear she will always be there to stand in her way, she was ready to sign up for the battle.
“What are you doing?” Zack’s voice made her flinch. “Oh, you’re back. I was just doing some research, so how was your day?” She has to make the impression of a good wife.
“It was tiring, from the reporters’ interview to the old man’s rambling, I had to go through all that because of you.”
“Should I help you prepare a warm bath to make you feel better?” Ivy asked, waiting for his reply.
“You don’t have to play the role of a good wife, I can handle myself.”
“I insist.” Ivy stood up ready to prepare his bath even though he refused, but a sound from her phone made her stop halfway…
Zack picked up her phone as he looked at the text message. “It seems the both of you have issues…” Ivy sighed, “It’s Irene again.” “Well… It’s in the past.”
“What’s in the past?” Zack was curious. Her hatred for Ivy was incomprehensible. She was willing to destroy her without feeling remorse.
“It’s a long story, and I don’t want to talk about it,” Ivy said in a low tone. She didn’t want to trouble him anymore; he has done enough. It was just a few days since their marriage, and he had already helped her so far. “Thank you.”
“What because I married you?” Zack raised his eyebrow.
“It’s more than that, despite me being a stranger you still agreed, and you saved me more than once… If you hadn’t come that day at the restaurant…”
“You were on your way to prepare my bath just now…” He cut her off, diverting the conversation.
‘What… don’t he like being complemented?’ Ivy still couldn’t understand her husband. “I thought you said you can handle yourself.” She crossed her arms watching his facial expression.
“I thought you said you insist.”
Ivy turned speechless, “this man.”
“You…”
“You’ll be meeting my family tomorrow, the old man wants to see you…”
“I thought he disowned you.” Ivy said smiling inwardly; how would she forget the conversation she eavesdropped.
“So you were eavesdropping.” Zack responded. “Is that where you got the idea of marriage?”
“Kinda, you should be thankful at least you’ve made the old man happy or should I say father-in-law.”
Zack rolled his eyes. “Go prepare my bath…”
