LIAM’S POV.
His mouth dropped and he stared at me like I’ve grown two heads.
” You’re divorcing Alice?” He asked me. “I’m I married to someone else I don’t know?” I asked rhetorically.
“I won’t do it” He shook his head repeatedly. Why does he always make me do things the hard way.
“You will Caleb and without a word of complain” I snarled at him. “I would never!. I won’t be the one making the papers you would use in divorcing Alice!. I don’t know what the problem was, but I won’t let you divorce her” He said firmly.
I fixated my gaze on him, locking our gaze. “Then you leave me no choice” Before he could react, I pulled out an opening beneath his locker, pulled out a gun from it and positioned it right on his forehead.
His eyes widened immediately. “Now let’s start the conversation all over again, make me a divorce paper”.
“Drop the gun. I’m your best friend…You can’t pull the trigg.. er” The fear in his voice was evident.
“Judging from how much you know about me.. do you think I can’t?”. A smirk curled up on my lips and I pressed the gun to his head even more.
His lips trembled and I loved when it gets to this. “Don’t…Don’t pull the trigger. It will ta.. ke three day to ma.. ke” He stuttered again.
“You think if I could wait that long I wouldn’t have gone to the court?” I pressed the gun to his head again.
“Don’t…When do you need it” He trembled.
“Now!” I yelled at him. “But I can’t ge…” I pulled the trigger even backwards slowly, ready to send a bullet into this fool’s skull.
“Plea…se. Two hours.. I’ll get it done” He was sweating profusely now.
” Now, we are talking” I lowered the gun and killed it, before putting it into my back pocket. It still has a lot to do.
“I’ll wait here and watch you” I smiled, walked toward the couch not so far from him and laid there.
My thought was filled with Alice words again. ‘You’re a failure’ her words kept resounding in my head. I felt my blood boil, as I balled my fist and all of a suddenly I felt a banging headache.
I laid my head backwards on the couch and shut my eyes, just then the memories came pouring into my head again.
FLASHBACK.
“Shit!. We need to evacuate, I can’t control this car!” Janice yelled, she kicked the car door open, rose on to her feet and pushed me out of the car roughly. I landed on the floor roughly, with stuffs scratching my skin repeatedly.
I took my gaze to the car and Janice wasn’t still out, immediately fear engulfed me.
“Janice!!!” I yelled out stretching my hand toward just as the car was about going off the cliff. Just then I saw her jump out of the car, landing perfectly on the floor, just like a superhero. She was my superhero after all.
I got on my feet and ran toward her happily. Just then a bullet came out of no where and shot her in the arm. She took her gaze forward and dodged the second bullet, running toward me. Immediately she got to me, she grabbed my hand and we both ran like crazy.
I suddenly tripped on something and fell flat on my face. Janice turned backwards and grabbed on to my hand, trying to get me on my feet, but I was too injured to even stand up. “Go Janice, I’ll be fine” I urged, a tear escaping my eyes.
“Shut it!. I’m not leaving here without you, so you better get on you feet or you would leave me no other choice, other than to…” She suddenly stopped talking.
“To what?” I asked. “Dammit!” She cursed and bent toward me. She placed my hand over her shoulder and carried me in her hands in a bridal style and started running off.
“Put me down…I’m not a lady…You can’t do this…You are staining my dignity”.
“Stop whining like a baby” She groaned. Her breathe was becoming heavier, not to talk about how slow she was going now”.
A gun suddenly went off and Janice stopped on her tract, her eyes widening. She let out a loud growl and continued running. And then the gun went off again, but this time she didn’t stop she kept yelling.
I took my gaze backwards and saw a man pointing a gun and her, and right in front of my eyes he pulled another trigger, shooting Janice again and immediately she coughed out blood.
“Janice!” I yelled out staring at her weak self. She was bleeding profusely now. There’s no way I coukd save her and suddenly tears clouded my eyes.
“Stop Janice please…Stop” the tears rolled down my cheek freely.
Another gun sound went off and immediately Janice dropped to her kneels, letting me roll off into the bushes.
“Run Liam…Run!” She yelled. “No…No…” I trembled crying.
Another bullet was suddenly shot at her and she fell to the ground. I lost it and pulled out the gun with me and shot the man twice in the head, he fell to the ground, dead.
I took my gaze to Janice and ran toward her, quickly placing her head on my legs. “Plea…se don’t close your eyes…please” I pleaded, the tears pouring down my cheeks like a waterfall.
“Don’t cry Liam. Re.. al men don’t c.. ry. I’m not going away forever…I’ll always be with you…it’s just you won’t be able to s.. ee me” She stuttered weakly.
“I don’t want you to go at all Janice, I want you right here with me…I want to feel you…I want you to yell at me when I’m wrong. Please stay” I held her close to me.
“How I wish I could, but dad needs me now. Anyways remember Liam; I lo…ve yo.. u” She suddenly started coughing out blood and then her hand dropped to the floor.
” Janice!… Janice!!..” I called her repeatedly but got no response. She was gone!. I hugged her to my body tightly, crying my eyes out, my heart was aching. She was gone…gone!.
“Janice!!!” I yelled out with every last strength in me.
