“Thank you, doctor.” Rosiley smiled at the doctor.
“You’re welcome. This is our responsibility.” The doctor smiled at her before leaving the ward.
Inside the ward, only Rosiley, Xenia Zhao, and the unconscious Seneca were left behind.
silence filled the air.
Rosiley chose to treat Xenia Zhao like she was invisible. sitting on the bed, she stared gently at her father’s pale face, care and concern filling her eyes.
In the past, she had always fought with her father, angering him plenty of times. Back then, her father had been annoying but healthy
However, he was now lying in a hospital bed. Even though he was breathing, he didn’t seem to be alive at all.
In comparison, she still liked her old annoying but healthy father.
Thinking of that, she smiled gently as she whispered to her father, “Dad, I will send a reliable man to accompany you to America so that you won’t be lonely.”
“I will take care of Group for you. I will make sure that it will not fall into the hands of anyone with malicious intent.”
As she spoke, she glanced at the uneasy Xenia Zhao and her lips curved into a cold smirk.
It seemed like someone would be unable to endure and would strike soon.
“Rosiley.” After hesitating for a long while, Xenia Zhao finally called out to her.
Rosiley didn’t turn her head. She only heard Xenia Zhao continue, “Rosiley, Auntie thinks that we shouldn’t send your father to the United States. It is too far away from us and we will be worried.”
“He should stay here where we can always see him. Don’t you think so?”
She was merely afraid of being exposed. How could Rosiley follow her wishes?
She turned around to look at Xenia Zhao. “My father has been here for many months but you have only visited him a few times, and Rorey has seen him even less. If you want to use this as an excuse to prevent me from sending my dad to the USA, it won’t work for me.”
“You…” Her attitude angered Xenia Zhao, but she dared not scold her.
She could only endure her fury and force herself to calm down.
“Rosiley, if you send your father to the USA, I will visit him often with Rorey.”
She seemed to have noticed the mistake in her words and so she changed her mind and explained, “No, Auntie will personally take care of your father.”
Hearing that, Rosiley could not help but snigger. However, her eyes were full of coldness, not a single trace of amusement within.
“Don’t you think that that’s a joke? It’s your duty to take care of my father. However, it is now a condition that you’re using to negotiate with me, how amusing.”
Xenia Zhao’s face turned purple and red with anger. She turned to glare at the unconscious man on the bed, unwillingness and anger filling her glare.
Everything had happened because of him. If not for the fact that he refused to give 20% of his shares to Rorey, Rorey and her would not have have ended up in such a state, and neither would he.
However, the biggest enemy was still Rosiley.
She stared at Rosiley. Her presence was the biggest threat to Rorey.
She would not allow Seneca to go to the USA. She would also not allow Rosiley to remain so arrogant.
She hid all her thoughts and acted as though she was making a difficult choice as she said reluctantly, “since you insist, Auntie will not make it difficult for you. I hope that your father wakes up in the USA.”
“That is, if he can safely reach the USA.”
