THE NEXT DAY
Xalia smiled happily as she ate her breakfast, she kept smiling as she recalled how sweet Draven was to her last night.
Allison kept staring at her and wondered what was making her smile so widely.
“Okay! That’s it. Spill it. You have been smiling all morning since you came back from Draven’s room. Tell me everything now!” Allison said, turning to her.
“Draven and I went to the Stone Mountain last night and kissed me.” She giggled and Allison looked at her confused.
“Wait, he hasn’t kissed you before then?” She asked and Xalia shook her head.
“But you guys had sex and also kissed on your wedding day.”
“He didn’t kiss me that day, it was just a peck on the side of the lips.”
“Woah. So what happened next?” Allison asked excitedly.
“Well, because of my injury, we couldn’t have sex so he went down on me instead.”
“Oh my God.” Allison giggled and they both laughed. Xalia’s phone rang and she looked at the caller. It was Draven, she giggled happily before picking up the call.
“Hey.” She called happily and Draven felt relieved.
“Xalia. How are you?”
“I’m fine. Is something wrong? You just left like an hour ago.”
“I know, I’m just checking up on you.”
“Oh, I’m fine.”
“I’m fine too Draven. If by any chance you care.” Allison yelled so he could hear and Xalia laughed.
“You’ve got a dramatic friend.”
“Yeah, I know. Draven, can I go out with Allison?” She hurriedly asked.
“Yeah, but you are going with my car and three guards.”
“That’s okay. Thank you.”
“Bye.” He muttered and ended the call.
“What did he say?”
“We are going with his car.” She squealed and Allison’s eyes widened in shock.
“I am fucking driving.” She yelled and rushed into the bathroom to get ready.
Draven ended the call and sighed, he twirled the gun in his hand as he stared at Harrison. They were in a warehouse with Draven and Harrison’s men for a deal, Henry stood next to Draven and Harrison watched as his men packed the boxes filled with guns into their trucks.
“What are you planning on doing? Shooting him here?” Henry asked.
“Nah,” Draven replied and he kept staring at Harrison.
He suddenly walked towards him and Henry sighed.
“It is not necessary that you cause a scene.” He said to Draven but he ignored.
Draven got to Harrison and he gave him a questioning look.
“What? I already transferred the money to you.”
“No, it’s not that.” Draven replied and shrugged.
“Oh, then what is it?”
“I’m thinking of hiring an assassin to stab someone, can you recommend one?” Draven asked and he froze, he looked surprised and scared but he was quick to change his expression. Draven noticed his change in expression.
“Wh… why are you asking me that? You’ve got a lot of assassins among your men.”
“Sure.” Draven said and nodded before walking back towards Henry. Draven suddenly shot two of Harrison’s men in the head and they fell dead.
Each of their men pointed a gun at each other and Harrison fumed in anger.
“I would advise your men to lower their weapons. It could get ugly.”
After so much glaring, Harrison ordered his men to lower their weapons. Henry sighed and glared at Draven.
“Was that necessary?”
“Yeah. He almost killed my wife.”
“Oh, the wife you bought and you don’t care about.”
“What is your point exactly?”
“What is the point of acting like you care when you will finally end up hurting her in the end?” Henry asked back.
“Can you just mind your fucking business?”
“Of course, Wade.” Henry replied and walked away.
**********
Xalia stared at the mirror as the stylist worked on her hair, she wasn’t feeling really comfortable because a few people in the saloon could recognise her and they kept mumbling words to themselves.
Allison decided they should get their nails and hair done.
“Hey,” Allison called, waving at one of the employees as another worked on her feet.
“Yes ma’am?”
“Can you empty this saloon for me?” Allison asked and Xalia glanced at her.
“I’m sorry ma’am, we can’t do that.” She replied and Allison scoffed.
“I am ordering you to do it. It is Mrs. Wa… ”
“It’s fine Allison.” Xalia cut her off and smiled, she glared at the employee before she walked away.
People kept murmuring but Xalia ignored them, the door to the saloon opened and Allison turned to it.
She scoffed and rolled her eyes as she saw who walked in. The employees rushed to her immediately and Xalia also turned to the door.
“I want this saloon empty.” She ordered and they all bowed.
“Of course ma’am.” They replied and the employees started to escort people out.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Allison rolled her eyes.
“Please ma’am, you need to leave.” An employee said to Xalia.
“Of course.”
“What? We are not leaving this saloon. I would have left if it was someone else but for your bitchy step-sister? No freaking way.” Allison said and Xalia sighed.
The saloon was now empty, it was only filled with Xalia, Allison, Malia and the employees.
“Allison, come on.” Xalia whispered.
“It’s so good to see you sis. What brings you to Atlanta?” She asked with a smile as she showed off her belly bump. Xalia didn’t give her a response.
“I’m sorry but you have to leave. I can’t be in the same places with… ”
“Oh my God, do you have any idea who you are talking to? It’s… ”
“Ugh.” Xalia groaned and pulled Allison, she pulled her out of the saloon forcefully.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” Allison asked as they walked to the car.
“Nothing, I don’t just want to get into any trouble.”
“What trouble can you possibly get into? You didn’t even want me to mention your last name.”
“Yeah, because it isn’t worth it. It is just a fucking saloon.” She replied and entered the car, Allison scoffed and entered the driver’s seat.
The guards escorting them also entered the car behind them.
“If I was the one married to Draven, I would use it to my advantage.” She scoffed and ignited the car.
“What is the point then?”
“Are you fucking kidding me? He has power in every country he steps feet on, he is feared by men in the authorities, he is a fucking billionaire. Take a look at the car we are in. I am so glad Kyle left you and he was waiting for you at the alter.” Allison said and Xalia sighed.
Without saying a word, she turned away from Allison.
“I’m… I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that.”
“Just drive.” She mumbled and closed her eyes.
*******
HOURS LATER
Xalia sighed as she lay on Draven’s bed. As she got back from the saloon with Allison, she headed straight to Draven’s room without saying a word to her.
She is right though, she should use being married to Draven as an advantage but it just doesn’t feel right.
She groaned loudly and the door to the room opened revealing Draven, she sat up and he paused on seeing her.
“Hey.” She called and he slowly walked to the bed.
“Did Allison ditch you for a guy?” He asked and she chuckled.
“No, I just wanted to be alone.” She replied.
“You look different.” He said as he sat next to her on the bed.
“Yeah, Allison and I went to the saloon.” She responded with a smile and expected a compliment from him but he didn’t say anything.
“Can you leave?” He asked and she looked at him surprised.
“You really want me to leave?”
“Yeah, get out.” He said and she became confused.
“Did I suddenly do something?”
“When did you start questioning me?” He asked back with a stern look and her heart skipped a beat.
“I’m sorry.” She mumbled and got off his bed then walked out of his suite. Instead of heading to her suite, she walked towards the elevator with the motive of leaving the hotel.
