Trusova reclined on the sofa, her lips curled into a faint smile and her cheeks flushed.
Despite being covered in bruises, her voluptuous figure and the tumultuous waves couldn’t help but stir one’s soul.
“Need help changing your bra and underwear?”
Flynn raised an eyebrow and couldn’t help but touch his nose.
“They’re all wet, very uncomfortable to wear,” Trusova pursed her lips.
What kind of person was Flynn?
Always a beacon of positivity!
How could he refuse such a helpful deed?
“Alright!” Flynn nodded seriously.
He reached out and pinched the button at the front of her bra, his pinky resting against her right breast.
The soft, slippery sensation transmitted to his brain made Flynn’s palms sweat.
With just a little more pressure, a pair of round breasts would come into view, unobstructed.
“I’m just trying to help, nothing else, absolutely nothing else.”
Flynn thought to himself, pressing hard between the two lace-covered cups.
Just then, the door sounded.
“Sasha, Ms. Sharp sent me to take care of you.”
Ruth’s voice came from outside.
The day Rose invited Gunner to dinner, she had gone to toast on behalf of Rose.
Afterward, she vomited and was humiliated by Gunner.
Ruth was cheerful with an impressive tolerance for alcohol.
At yesterday’s banquet, she and Flynn had clinked glasses over a dozen times.
Each had drunk a liter of vodka, and Flynn was astounded.
It was indeed fitting for Rose to have Ruth come over to take care of things.
But she had arrived a bit early!
Another half-hour would have been better.
What was Rose thinking? It was Saturday, and there was no work, couldn’t she let Ruth sleep a bit longer?
Reluctantly, Flynn withdrew his hand and feigned a relieved smile: “Ruth’s arrival is timely, let her take over.”
Saying this, he got up to open the door.
He had only taken a few steps when he stiffened, then turned back to the sofa, wrapped Trusova in a towel, and tied a butterfly knot on her chest.
After doing all this, Flynn gave an awkward smile, then turned and opened the door.
Trusova wore a peculiar expression, laughing to herself:
“When it’s just the two of us, he doesn’t shy away, but the moment Ruth comes, Mr. Clark becomes shy.”
“Probably embarrassed to be seen by Ruth.”
The door opened.
Ruth wore slim-fit jeans, the slightly tapered design perfectly outlining her straight legs, compelling a second glance.
“What’s taking so long to open a door?” She held a bouquet of flowers, muttering to herself, and paused in surprise upon seeing Flynn:
“Ah? … Mr. Clark, I thought you had already left.”
Flynn smiled, coughed lightly:
“Just finished treatment, I’ll leave the rest to you, I’m heading back.”
Flynn gave Trusova a smile, then left.
Ruth frowned.
She felt Flynn’s face was very red.
She hadn’t said anything though.
Maybe he was just too tired from staying up all night?
She didn’t think too much about it, quickly sat beside Trusova, and expressed her concern:
“Sasha, Ms. Sharp said you were severely injured, where are you hurt, let me see…”
“Ah? A broken leg, and your shoulder too?”
Trusova smiled reassuringly:
“It’s okay, Mr. Clark had me take a medicated bath for an hour, it doesn’t hurt much now.”
“A medicated bath?” Ruth was taken aback, glancing at the towel wrapped around Trusova, and smirked:
“Did Mr. Clark help you with that? Did he help you clean your body too?”
Trusova nodded.
“No wonder his face was so red, I didn’t interrupt anything, did I?” Ruth said with a raised eyebrow and a smile.
“What are you thinking?” Trusova glanced at her, a smile still hanging on her face, “Hurry up and help me change clothes; it’s uncomfortable being all wet.”
Ruth laughed heartily, as if she had cracked a major case, and feigned embarrassment: “Looks like I came too early, should have come at noon.”
“Ruth, if you keep talking like that, I’m going to ignore you!”
“Oh, blushing, our big girl Achela has a shy side too, haha…”
The two girls chatted and laughed, causing Flynn to sneeze.
“Who’s talking about me? Molly? It must be her; I never get good words from her,” Flynn muttered as he rubbed his nose and headed back to the bedroom.
Just as he lay down, Scarlet called.
“Mr. Clark, what were you and Ms. Sharp up to yesterday? Niarak is in an uproar.”
“What’s in an uproar?” Flynn asked, puzzled.
“Just… Oh! I’ll send a picture, see for yourself!”
Scarlet didn’t hang up but opened Weixin and sent over the information she saw in the Niarak socialite group.
“Rose played ‘femme fatale’, uniting Niarak’s magnates to oust Sordoff.”
“Orion and others, leading three thousand men, threatened Sordoff to leave Ostrad, or else accuse him of kidnapping the Sharp’s Group employees.”
“The Sharp’s Group, to prevent Sordoff from investing in the three alliances, lured him with a honey trap.”
Flynn stared at the messages, stunned.
“What a joke! Would Ms. Sharp and I engage in such lowly acts?”
Flynn couldn’t help but become annoyed as he recounted last night’s events.
Forget an eighty billion dollar investment, even if it was eight hundred billion, he wouldn’t kowtow to the three alliances.
It must be some misinformed people, hearing the wind and thinking it’s rain.
“You don’t need to explain; I believe you, but others might not!”
“Lilia is furious, posting lengthy articles online, accusing Cherry Blossom Inn and Rose of colluding to smear Sordoff,” Scarlet explained.
“Lilia is sick, doesn’t Sordoff tell her the truth?” Flynn said irritably.
Scarlet chuckled bitterly, “Are you naive? Sordoff kidnapped Trusova and even attempted more.”
“Such news would ruin Sordoff’s reputation; he’d be too busy covering it up to misstep.”
“He might just state his stance, deciding not to invest further, but he’ll keep quiet about everything else.”
Flynn paused, realizing a timeline centered around Lilia.
Lilia woke up in the morning and called Sordoff to schedule a meeting.
Sordoff gave her the runaround and declined the partnership, not mentioning the events of early morning.
Shocked, Lilia couldn’t understand why Sordoff had canceled the partnership and decided to inquire at the hotel.
Leander told the truth, which Lilia did not believe, thinking he was in cahoots with Rose, defaming Sordoff.
After all, Leander had attended Rose’s celebration party, mingling happily with Edwin and others.
Lilia naturally disbelieved Leander’s account.
She assumed it was Rose’s conspiracy, using employees to seduce Sordoff in a ‘femme fatale’ scheme.
Afraid for his reputation, Sordoff hastily left Ostrad.
Orion and others might have called Lilia, but they were in Rose’s camp.
Lilia didn’t believe them either.
She only trusted her own conjecture.
She published an article online, denouncing Rose as despicable.
The uninformed chose to believe her, and they propagated it widely online.
“Mr. Clark, this is getting serious, what do you plan to do?”
