THE door was still slightly open, as Lord Lucario still stood by it, staring wide-eyed at Jasira, who stood in shock.
He finally closed the door and began advancing further into the room, walking majestically. Jasira calmed down and stood properly, she was no more in shock.
“Who was that? Who were you talking to? I heard everything”, he asked again, rushing his questions this time.
She swallowed hard, really?
“You did?”, she asked.
“Yeah”, he said and lowered his tall huge self on the seetee in the room.
“Ugh…”, she trailed off, and began scratching on the black coloured bonnet on her head.
He simpered.
“I can’t interfere in your life, it is yours. Just be careful and know you can’t associate with just anybody”, he said, driving home a fact.
She sighed, she knew that, but right now, something was cooking, something she can’t handle, or can she?
“Reports from yesterday”, he said, digressing, and now looking all serious.
She cleared up her throat and faced him.
“I’m sorry I should have come down to you, and not the other way round…”.
“Have you even checked the time? It seems you are only just waking up even”, he interrupted and subconsciously, her eyes travelled to the wall clock hanging on the wall, it widened in shock.
It was 10:26 am.
“Jeez!”, she mouthed.
He ignored her and waited patiently for her reports.
“Ugh, it was mission accomplished, says we gonna hear testimonies from Cisca in due time”, she said.
“I see. Did anything funny happen at the mall, while you were leaving?”, he asked, taking her unawares.
Okay, who had sent those fools not to keep their mouths in check huh?
“Nothing, nothing happened”, she said.
He looked at her inquiringly, making her uncomfortable.
“Sure?”.
She nodded.
“Yeah, nothing”, she maintained, waving her hands.
“The eyes I have got there informed me that Jeremy was there”, he said and she gasped.
“O… ye… yeah he was, I… I think I saw him”, she stuttered, opening and closing her eyes as she spoke like the words were being forced out of her mouth.
“He was caught staring at you”, he said and she swallowed hard.
Goodness! Who the hell was that ‘eyes’ of his, feeding him with informations?
“We… well, I didn’t know, I didn’t take note of that”, she said, picking her words one after the other.
He simpered.
“Jasira be careful, you shouldn’t have anything to be doing with him, you are worlds apart”, he said and sighed deeply.
She swallowed hard, indeed.
“Well, nothing, I have nothing with him, not even a business deal”, she said, twisting her lips.
He laughed.
“Who is talking of business deals here? What kind of business would he possibly want to have with you? He has never had anything to do with us you know, he has always kept clean records, I admire that about him though”, he said.
She blinked her eyes twice.
“I have heard you”, she said.
He got up.
“Your job with Honourable Bernard isn’t over yet, do and get me the final report I need to hear”, he said and began walking away.
“Okay Lord Lucario”, she said and he opened the door and left.
The moment he closed the door behind him, she growled and picked up the glass sculpture on the center table and flung it across the room.
It hit the wall and shattered to pieces on the floor. Then she kicked the table hard, still growling.

For almost two hours since Jeremy arrived The Petersons’ Mansion, he has been arguing with his mom, trying to make her see reasons with him.
They were in the smaller living room, discussing. What were they even discussing about? About not having time for his fiancee, Amelia, what rubbish, what a waste of time.
“Son what are you saying? You need to create time out of your busy schedule for her, you really need to, she has been complaining bitterly”, she complained.
He snorted.
“Mother I can’t, I am a busy man, she should understand that. I won’t always be having time for that cuddling and nonsense she is expecting from me, I won’t”, he maintained.
Mrs Petersons glanced at her husband, who sat aloof looking into the newspapers in his hands. He was saying nothing.
She frowned.
“Aren’t you going to say something Peter? Look what your son is spitting here”, she said.
“What do you want me to say Sarah? The boy is old enough to know what he wants, let him be”, he said, much to Jeremy’s surprise.
He turned to look at his father, he still had his head bent over the newspapers.
His mother turned to him and he shrugged, she turned back to her husband.
“I don’t get it. What explanation are you going to give to your friend when he demands one? What?”, she asked and Jeremy scoffed.
“You both had an agreement, he kept to his own side of it, now you want to fail on your own side?”, she continued, “not under my nose”, she said and turned back to Jeremy.
“Mom what is all these? Can we leave this talk and dwell on the main stuffs?”, he asked.
“It is the main stuffs that we are discussing here…”.
“No, it is not”, he interrupted and just then, Nathan came in.
“Boss?”, he called, bowing slightly.
“There is an emergency back home”, he said.
His parents looked up at Nathan.
“Math?”, he asked.
Nathan nodded.
“Yes Boss”, he replied.
Jeremy turned to his parents.
“I will see you when I see you, I need to leave now”, he got up.
“We aren’t done yet, emergency can wait”, his mother said.
“It can’t, I need to leave, like right now”, he moved to her and pecked her on the cheek, then together with Nathan, they dashed out.
