THEY hit the road few minutes later, Jeremy, Nathan, and a guard. His mind wasn’t just at rest all the while they drove, who the hell were these brats coming for him huh?
“Whom have I offended?”, he muttered to himself.
“Was any other information given Nathan?”, he suddenly asked, sitting up.
Nathan was behind the wheels, focusing on the road and keeping a fast pace.
“Not really Boss. Math had only given snippets of information, but I was able to get out some things”, he said and immediately swerved to the left.
“Spill it fool!”, he barked.
“Math had said they were two men, captured, and were now held bound in the torture room, refusing to talk as expected”, he said.
“Ahh!”, he mouthed and fell back into the car seat.
“Adams, are you armed?”, he suddenly asked.
The other guard nodded.
“Sure Boss”, he replied.
“My ammunition, get it for me”, he said and immediately, Adams took out a briefcase which was beside him and placed it on his laps, then he opened it.
In it were different kinds of guns, revolvers, pistols, double barreled guns, and bullets.
He took out a pistol, and handed it over to Jeremy.
“Here Boss”, he said.
Jeremy took it and cocked, it was loaded, then he placed it beside him on the car seat.
Soon they had gotten to his estate, and his mansion, was just few metres away when suddenly, they heard a bang at the back of the car, it made their car jerked, and then boom! Another bang, this time the glass at the back shattered.
Nathan was forced to stop, Jeremy picked up the pistol beside him immediately.
“That is an attack, into action immediately, ignore and move on”, Jeremy commanded and Nathan tried turning on the ignition.
The moment the car kicked off, there was another bang, this time on one of the back tyres, the tyre went flat instantly, dragging them slowly on the road.
Adams pressed on a button and the glass windows pulled up instantly, providing a temporary shield.
“Idiots!”, Jeremy shouted, “they should show their faces if they are men enough”, he said, fuming.
“Try with this damn car Nathan, we are almost home”, he shouted.
“I am trying my best Boss”, he said.
As a result of the flat tyre, the car moved slower than expected, given the attackers more time to launch their attack.
A series of gun shots followed, hitting at their windows, tyres and all parts of the car, Jeremy had to duck all the while to avoid the flying bullets.
Adams quickly took out a binoculars and began looking around, trying to see if he could get the culprits, but he couldn’t.
They finally got home and drove in immediately, the gates were already opened, as the security men at the tower had heard the gun shots, and discerned the situation, keeping the gates open.
Immediately the car screeched to a halt at the garage, few other guards surrounded the car, one of them opened the car door and Jeremy alighted, then followed by Nathan and Adams.
“Boss, are you fine? Are you okay?”, they began asking, looking all over him.
He was having scratches and little blood patches all over his arms, a part of his shirt was even torn.
“I am good, where is Math?”, he enquired.
“He is in the torture room, with some others”, one of them replied and immediately, he began heading for the torture room.
“Boss, should we go after them?”, another asked as Jeremy walked away.
He immediately knew what the guy was talking about and he shook his head and waved his right hand, depicting a no.
“Ahhh! Boss should have just let us fish out those idiots”, the guard who had asked the last question lamented, “just look what they did to this… car”, he said pointing at the car.
They all turned to the car, to be honest, the car was badly damaged, it now had a lot of holes made by bullets, and the tyres, if not all four, were already flat, as they were punctured as well, the glasses broken.
A glance into it would also tell that it wasn’t a small thing, a lot of pieces of glass were scattered all over the seats.
Jeremy and Nathan got to the entrance of the torture room, it was actually a small bungalow built in the form of a boy’s quarters, strangers wouldn’t easily find out what was there.
There at the entrance were a few other guards, parambulating about. They bowed the moment they saw Jeremy coming and the one at the door, opened and they entered.
Math was whipping two chained guys on the floor mercilessly, as they cried out for help. They had the red substance all over them like they were having a blood bath.
Jeremy slowly walked up to Math.
“That is enough Math”, he said, putting a hand on his shoulder, and glaring at the men on the floor.
After few seconds of looking at them, he scrouched down to their level, squatting, they were coughing out blood.
“Who sent you?”, he asked and used his both hands to roughly pull at their hair to lift up their faces.
“We… we will never tell you”, one of them replied and made a hissing sound due to pain.
Jeremy smirked, he knew it, he expected it.
“Very well then… Math?”, he called and paused for a moment as he signaled to be handed a knife.
Then he stood up and walked up behind them.
“So you won’t tell me? Huh?”, he asked again.
“Never Jeremy…”, the one who had answered at first came again, “I will…”, he couldn’t complete his sentence as Jeremy suddenly pierced the knife into his back, digging deep into his flesh.
“Aaahhhhh!”, he screamed out horribly making the walls echoed.
“Don’t you ever dare call me by my name again, don’t you ever”, he said and dug the knife more deep into his back carving a hole while his blood oozed out.
The other guy just sat writhing in pain.
“Your soul won’t even forget this”, he uttered and with that, pulled out the knife and he screamed dreadfully again.
“You… you are a devil”, he screamed in pain.
Jeremy smirked, leaving their behind and walking up to their front.
“This is the other side of me you have never thought I had, you guys just brought it out”, he said and raised up his two hands, “I mean, I been all on myself the whole time, disturbing no one and minding my own business, why the hell are you guys coming after me? Whom did I offend?”, he rhetorically asked.
The guy who had been speaking coughed, and then spat out blood.
“Well, I am…, I am a devil, and it seems like you are of no use to me anymore”, he said and with that, stabbed him multiple times until he was sure he was no longer breathing.
Yes, Jeremy killed him!
“Holy Moly!”, the other guy gasped.
“Hmm mmm”, Nathan cleared up his throat, “a gun would have been better Boss”, he said.
“I don’t care Nathan”, he tossed the knife aside and then took out a white handkerchief and began wiping his hands on them, the white clothing immediately turned as red as a scarlet.
“The other guy Boss?”, Math asked.
Jeremy kept mute staring at him and wiping on the handkerchief, thinking of what to do.
“Get one of those homemade IED you guys improvised, time it to blow off say, three to four hours time, we are placing it on him”, he instructed.
Immediately, Math swung into action and instructed some other guards to carry it out, then he turned back to Jeremy.
“How do you want to do this Boss?”, he asked.
“Get a sword and chop off the head of the dead one, put it in a bag, the living one would deliver it as a message to whoever sent them, since they have refused telling us who”, he said.
“Hmm, genius… genius”, Math exclaimed and swung into action.
He first untied the dead one, and laid him on the floor, then he got a sword and without hesitation, chopped off the head, blood spluttered everywhere, splashing on everything close by.
A big black tote bag was already on standby, a guard was holding it, and together, they picked up the head and straight into the bag, blood and all.
“Done Boss”, Math announced, standing up straight.
Jeremy nodded, he has been watching the whole time.
“I see”, he said.
“What we going to do with the body?”.
“Dispose by burning, burn into ashes and let nothing of it remain on the soil of the earth”, he said.
