It’s dark in the night with the moonlight shining all over the places in Texas city with sound of the crickets spreading across the street as everyone is inside their house resting but others figuring out the puzzles for their problems.
“I can’t believe people have turned so cruel nowadays. How can a person be so shameful of trying to take a kid that is not his on the middle of the street?” Anabella says, looking at her husband with a contorted look on her face.
“But darling, you haven’t given me the full details of what actually happened while you are there? What happened?” Oscar asks.
Anabella sighs and speaks at length, “Okay first let me explain you what actually happened. While I was walking across the streets searching for the grocery store nearby, I saw a man trying to abduct the kid in the middle of the streets nearby the grocery store, and when I followed him and asked him why the kid was crying as he was trying to capture him, he said the kid was his nephew and I’m not supposed to interfere them.” Anabella says.
“But what was wrong with that? If the kid was his nephew, I don’t see the problem there.” Oscar says.
Anabella rolls up her eyes. “The issue is not about that but what I’m trying to say is that, that man was trying to abduct the kid on the streets and when I asked the kid if he knows the man, the kid said he didn’t know him.” Anabella says.
Oscar gasps, “Oh! that is really awful. What did you next?” Oscar asks.
Anabella scoffs, “What else was I supposed to do? I decided to call cops on him. But when I was about to take my phone inside my purse, he then decided to run far away from the scene.” Anabella replies.
“That is really awful. But I’m glad the kid is safe now.” Oscar says.
“Yeah, that is most important thing.” Anabella says.
Oscar’s face contorts. “I can’t believe our government is keeping ignoring this issue right now, there have been so many reports of the missing children in the United States but the government is still keeping a blind eye on this issue.” Oscar says.
Anabella nods. “Yeah, I heard on a recent report on the radio that they are over 800, 000 cases of missing children in united states this year.” Anabella says.
Oscar gasps with a raised brow. ” 800, 000 cases a year? That is a huge number in a single year.” Oscar replies.
“From now we must be careful with our children and also we need to protect our children more because if we will not do that, we will suffer the consequences as parents.” Anabella says.
Anabella and Oscar turns their heads and looks at the kid sitting on the dining’s room chair.
The kid looks at Anabella and Oscar with nervous look on his face as his body trembles from head to toe.
“Don’t be scared kid, we are not the bad people.” Anabella says with a smooth tone.
The kid heart continues to hammer fast as the kid darts his eyes from left to right looking at Oscar and Anabella carefully.
“I would love to know your name, what is your name kid?” Anabella asks, walking slowly towards the kid’s space.
“My name…My name is, Brian.” Brian replies with a shaking voice as he glances on Oscar and Anabella with terror look on his face.
“Okay Brian, do not be afraid,” Anabella pats Brian’s shoulder with her hand. “You are safe now. Can you please tell me what actually happened to you? and why you were on the streets by yourself?” Anabella asks.
Brian’s chest rises up and down fast with his wide eyes open. “I was kidnapped at the school with some men and later on escaped as soon as I got the chance.” Brian Replies.
Oscar interjects, “How old are you kid?”
“I’m five years old sir.” Brian replies.
Anabella and Oscars looks at each other with pity looks on their faces, and then returns back their gazes at the kid.
“That is really awful. Do you actually remember where your family is?” Oscar asks.
Brian nods with agreement, “Yes, I know where they are?” Brian says.
“Can you tell me where they are right now?” Oscar asks.
A moment of silence for Brian follows as he ponders for a while thinking thoroughly and carefully on where he came from but due to the lack the of memory that he has, it causes him to weep little by little. Anabella looks at her husband as Brian is thinking deeply with a contorted look on his face with tears falling down slowly on his face.
Anabella sighs. “The kid is so young to know where he actually came from.” Anabella says.
“But we are supposed to know where he came from or else, we won’t know where he came from.” Oscar says.
As the efforts Brian trying to remember where he came from, he ends up breaking down in tears as Anabella looks at the kid with remorse.
“What is the matter kid? Are you alright?” Anabella asks, sitting on the chair closer to the kid as she pats the kid’s shoulder.
Brian sniffs his nostrils and looks at Anabella with the red eyes, filled with tears falling down slowly in motion. “I’m so sorry mom but I don’t really remember anything and where I came from.” Brain replies.
Anabella takes a glance and looks at Oscar as they looks at each other with twisted lips, feeling sorry for the kid and then Anabella returns back her gaze and looks at the kid again.
“Okay darling stop crying. Everything is going to be alright, Okay?”
Brian continues to weep by himself as Anabella is patting his shoulder.
“Do you happen to know the school that you came from?” Anabella asks.
Brian pauses to weep for a sec as the memory clicks inside his mind as he remembers the time that he was in the school singing with other kids the school song.
Brian nods with affirmation. “Yes! I remember the name of the school that I studied.” Brian replies.
Anabella and Oscar takes a glance and looks at each other with the broad smiles on their faces.
“Okay, can you tell us which school is it so that that we can figure out where to start?” Anabella asks.
“The name of school is… Holy Mary kindergarten school.” Brian replies.
Oscar Exclaims. “Yes! I know that school.” Oscar says.
Anabella heart bubbles from the inside as she looks at her husband with a wide smile filled with anticipation.
“Where is it located Oscar? Tell me?” Anabella asks.
“It is in San Antonio, Texas city. My nephew used to study there,” Oscar furrows his brows. “But San Antonia is a little bit far away from here. How are we going to send this kid there?” Oscar asks.
An idea clicks inside Anabella’s mind.
“I have an idea!” Anabella says.
Oscar looks at Anabella with a contorted look on his face.
“What idea do you have?” Oscar asks.
“At the time that I will be going to san Antonio on the trip that I told you about. I will drop the kid there at the school that he mentioned.” Anabella replies.
Oscar knits his brows. “But how are you going to do that why you are not familiar with the city?”
“I know someone who is going to help me.” Anabella replies.
Oscar furrows her brows. “Who are you referring to?”
