Kaiden POV.
We’re going to pick apples! The were trees everywhere! But I’m too short to reach most of them. Thankfully daddy was therez he picked me up, setting me on his shoulders, now I was so high up! I could reach the apples!
I got red ones! Green ones my favorite, and even some that have both colors, everyone was out there picking apples, I even saw Masha lifting Chase up to reach while River was on his own, refusing the help, instead he decided to climb over the trees and reaching for the apples on his own.
His eyes were grey the whole time, his dragon was showing, some of us even shifted to our dragon sides. I wish I could shift too, I tried to call to my dragon, can we shift! Her answer was to ghost me, fine we’re not ready to shift yet.
“Daddyyyyyyy” I say getting his attention.
“Yes pidge?” He answers right away.
“When can I see you dragon?” I ask him, my dragon jumped at the idea of seeing daddy’s dragon side, she’s a traitor!
“Hmm, soon love soon” he answers me.
My basket was too heavy for me to carry anymore, we stopped picking now, just enjoying the walk around with everyone else, two dragons had my attention. A small white dragon, with eyes similar to mine, purple! Her wings were small compared to her size, but she was doing her best moving them up and down trying to fly.
I didn’t know if she’ll do it or not, but I wanted to watch, Adrian tried to walk us away but I pulled him back, I want to see if the white dragon would fly.
After some more trials she manages to get off the ground, I clap for her, proud of her, she almost did it! The white dragon goes up and catch one of the apples in her mouth turning back to a much bigger dark blue dragon, the other one was just sitting watching her play, he took the offered apple nuzzling her neck, she was tiny compared to him. Would me and daddy look like that when we both shift?
The white dragon happy with her achievement of flying few feet off the ground tries again, this time she aimed higher, her head touching the tree branches but she doesn’t stop there, moving away from the tree and reaching up to the sky, she’s gonna fly!
But my show and her progress was cut short, the blue dragon shifted, he flew up, got her tucked under his wing pulling her back down to the ground. She clearly wasn’t on board with being grounded again, she tried to take off but the bigger dragon shelter her down keeping her down.
The white dragon finally had enough, she bites him, right in the wing that’s pushing her down, I couldn’t help but giggle, the way the blue dragon jumped up when her teeth met his wing. But my giggle was cut short, the evil dragon turned to her with a glare, making her eyes fill with tears, the meanie!
“Neve never learns” I hear Rees says, I turn to him, I don’t know who she is.
“She’s one of Levi’s kids, she have the habit of biting, her daddy is Austin, they’re leaving school soon” Rees inform me, he sound like he’s missing something, like he’s craving to have a little of his own, buy he’s lonely.
Feeling sorry for my friend, I jumo from daddy’s arms into him, my attack was a sneaky one, I caught Rees by surprise, he nearly missed catching me.
“You cheeky monkey” Rees says nuzzling my neck making me laugh.
“Hey she’s mine!” Daddy says all possessively pulling me back from him.
“I know, you got Kaddy, Masha got two littles for gods sake, but me I’m the lonely friend” he whines making me giggle.
“You’re free to have one of mines if you want” Masha tease coming with her two littles, they both hold closer to her refusing to let her go.
“That if I could get them to let you go” Rees says shaking his head at us.
“You all evil” I say, giving Rees another hug, poor guy.
I was tired after spending so long picking apples, I was ready to get back to bed for a nap, but then I heard River scream, he fell on his knees screaming. Anna and Julius and Levi were all next to them in no time, Chase was taken by Anastasia while Masha carried River away, but I couldn’t understand what was happening I began to cry.
“Daddy…” I say going back to Adrian’s arms.
“It’s okay pidge, River’s dragon is coming out to play” daddy explains.
