Angel POV.
Logan looked to be very angry, and Hunter wasn’t back yet, they looked like they had just woken up and gone on the hunt for us, I looked at them again and then looked away, they looked terrifying, they looked like they were ready to kill us, sacrifice our souls to satan and then ask him for something in return, probably better littles.
“Papa,” I say trying to sound nice and little, although I’m not feeling very little, I’m just trying to get out of the trouble.
“Shut it,” he scolded me making me flinch, I didn’t expect this, I tried to avoid his look now, I tried to get out of his hold but he didn’t let me go, he kept his firm hold on me until we got to Evelyn’s apartment, he opened the door and ushered both of me and Ilyssa inside the place.
“Ilyssa, go to your room, sit on your bed and stay there,” he scolds Ilyssa, I looked at her with begging eyes, I didn’t want her to leave me alone.
“I’m not leaving her alone with you,” Ilyssa says defending me back, I felt very grateful for that.
“I’m her daddy, and the one in charge here, get moving,” Logan says firmly.
“You’re going to beat her,” Ilyssa says standing in front of me to keep me safe, but I didn’t doubt that he might beat me, it didn’t occur to me that pain was a part of this, I didn’t expect them to do so.
“I’m not hitting her,” Logan says taken back by the accusation, and I was glad that he’s not doing any of that, we all stood quietly just looking at each other, none of us wanting to talk anymore, all of us were feeling off now.
The silence was broken when the door opened, for the second time in the same morning, the door opened and in came a very pissed-off vampire, Hunter was back, and he looked angrier than before.
“Now girls, explain to me why were you both in a red apartment?” Hunter asks solving the mystery that I wasn’t thinking of anymore, the question of what Ryan’s code was, it’s Red, but what does red stand for? Other than run when you see them, I had nothing to say about this topic, I knew nothing about them.
“He’s my friend,” Ilyssa says first, she’s the one who knew him better.
“Friends, it’s very good to have friends, but Ryan? And why were you in his apartment?” Hunter asks her.
“Well, uh… we’re friends,” she says again in her defence.
“I got the friends part, but why were you there?” He asks her again.
“We were having coffee together,” she confess.
“Does Evelyn allow you to do so normally?” Logan asks and I had the feeling that Evelyn might be getting in trouble as well.
“Yeah, she doesn’t mind,” Lyssa says not sounding very honest.
“If I call and ask her?” Logan asks.
“Fine, she only allows me sometimes, when I’m good and Ryan comes down and talks to her,” she answers him, being honest this time.
“Ilyssa with us around, you’re not allowed to talk to Ryan or go up to his place without asking us first, we need to say the word ‘Yes you can go,’ and only then you be allowed to go,” Hunter says.
“Okay, I won’t,” she promised them and she was off the hook for the day, but what about me?
“Thank Ilyssa, now please go get ready for the day, I’ll make you another cup of coffee,” Logan promised her, I turned to him with a giant pout, what about me?
“Wait,” Logan whispered to me, waiting until Ilyssa was out of the room leaving me alone with the two vampires, I crossed my hands over my chest and looked at them with a big pout on my face.
“Now, her I get why she went there, would you like to explain to me why you went to Ryan’s place out of all the places in this building?” Hunter asks me, so he’s the one in charge of talking.
“He wasn’t so bad, he’s a good friend,” I defend Ryan, he might not have taken a hint before, but today I saw another side of him.
“Angie, little bear, you either speak something that might save your ass from a good warming or I’d help you understand why you can’t go over to his place again,” Hunter warns me, how come they aren’t that nice to me, my pout got bigger.
“Don’t pout, we’re only in charge of Ilyssa for a couple of days, we’re in charge of you for the test res of your life,” Logan explained to me why I was being treated differently.
“Fine, but I want coffee too,” I warn them.
“Eyes on me Angie,” Hunter says using a new nickname that I wasn’t familiar with, but I like it, he can call me Angie, but only him, I nod agreeing to the new name.
“Yes?” I answered him, my eyes locked on him now.
“You understand why we don’t want you interacting with Ryan?” He asks me and I shrug in response.
“Because we’re possessive jerks who won’t share you,” Hunter says making Logan smack his shoulder for saying that, I smiled, I was wanted.
“And I don’t share you,” I remind them and they both nod in all seriousness.
“Now that we are on the same page, you’re grounded,” Hunter says making my mouth fall open, he can’t do that, where do I even go to get grounded? I’m always with them.
“Well that’s not a real punishment,” I say with way too much sass in my voice leaving them standing and going to get ready for the day as well, I heard them whisper and talk behind my back but I was gone already.
I went to our room, I put Mr Vixy down on the bed, he’s been with me through the whole thing, I couldn’t let it go, what if I lose it again or Ryan decides he wants it, and then I can’t have my baby back. I looked through the bag he got for me, I found some clothes for me and I went toward the bathroom to wash up and change my clothes, I looked a bit pale, I had never seen them that angry, especially Hunter and that scared me, it scared the hell out of me, but he loves me, I think he loves me and he won’t hurt me.
I finished getting ready and joined them in the kitchen, I guess that they went to wake the rest of the girls, two of us were ready, while Katie was full-on sobbing in her chair, she didn’t look too happy about being woken up.
“Shush, shush, come on, help me out here,” Logan says sitting next to her while she cries.
“Why is she crying?” I ask him in a firm voice, she’s my friend and I don’t want to see her crying.
“Watch yourself,” he warns me and I pout, going to poke Katie trying to get her to calm down.
“Need help?” Hunter says coming in with the last girl dressed and ready for the day.
“I think she hates me,” Logan lisp the word to Hunter but since my eyes were locked on them, I could tell what they were saying.
“Katie, you want to sit with me? Help set up the breakfast?” Hunter asks her and she nods, letting go of the crying.
We all had breakfast together, Katie dropped the crying after helping to set the table and make her own cereal, the food was soon done and I looked at the two doms waiting for them to say it was time to get to work.
“The babysitter would be here in any moment,” Hunter says and I got ready to leave, washing my hands and getting my phone and work ID.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Hunter asks me.
“Work,” I answer with a shrug.
“Do I have to remind you that you’re punished,” Logan says.
“What does that have to do with work?” I ask them confused.
“You’re not going to work, you’re staying home today, hand me your phone,” Hunter says and I look at him with giant eyes, that’s not near being fair.
“But I work,” I say looking at them hurt.
“Not today, you’re staying home, and you’re not to leave this apartment, no matter what,” Hunter says, I stomped my foot with anger, that wasn’t fair at all.
“You can’t do that,” I whined.
“Watch us,” Logan says and I look at him with hurt and anger, they are terrible.
“You’re having an extra girl today, she’s not to leave the place, she doesn’t have any TV privilege or phone privilege,” Hunter explained to the babysitter, while I gave them the side look that could kill.
They left and left me behind with the stupid babysitter, I don’t know her, and I can’t watch TV with the rest of the girls, instead, I sat down in the bedroom and just lay in bed, I didn’t have anything to do and I soon started getting bored, so I walked around the place trying to find something that would entertain me for the day.
“You wanna play with us?” Katie asks I have found my way to a room that wasn’t in the place that I used to stay in before.
“Sure,” I say walking toward her and Ilyssa, this room looks like the playroom in our house, I hardly touched the toys, maybe once or twice, but I never had a playmate.
“How did she get you to play along?” I asked Ilyssa she didn’t sound or act like a little who likes games.
“Either play with her or she cries,” Ilyssa said with an eye roll and I giggled sitting down to play with them, better than doing nothing the whole day, I’d die from boredom.
“What are we playing?” I ask them.
“Barbies,” Katie says handing me one of the plastic dolls, it felt very natural to play with them, to sit on the floor and just spend the day here, maybe skipping work and being grounded wasn’t the worst thing ever.
