Chapter 40

Book:The CEO'S Delicate Wife Published:2024-8-24

Olivia had tried her best not to look too expensive, so she wouldn’t draw much attention to herself. After Olivia and Sofia had parted ways, Olivia went into her class, as expected the class was almost filled with people, leaving her to sit at the back.
Her presence stirred murmurs, among the students, as she walked in. It was like that, on the first day she came in, but she shrugged, not letting it bother her.
After the class had ended, she was about to get up, when a blonde, slender girl, Lucy by name. She approached Olivia, with a smile etched on her face.
Olivia knew better than to fall for her smile, it was fake and it was obvious. She didn’t return the smile, her gaze washed over the girl and she looked away.
She was pretty, with freckles scattered all over her face.
“What can I help you with?” Olivia asked, sounding impatient and not entertaining.
Lucy’s smile grew wider, “Can you share your name? You’re obviously new.” She stated, biting her upper lips.
“Ohh, it’s Olivia. My name is Olivia, anything else?”
Now, the whole students in the class had their eyes glued on both of them, especially Olivia, since she was new.
“Olivia…I see.” She chuckled, nodding her head, as her gaze washed all over Olivia once more, before she turned to face the students.
“Okay guys, her name is Olivia. Cute isn’t it?” She mocked.
Olivia creased her brows in confusion, Lucy had a sharp and ostentatious appearance, but Olivia couldn’t fathom what exactly was going on in her mind or what she wanted to do.
The entire class burst Into laughter at Lucy’s words. They seemed not to be surprised by what she was doing, She probably had done it multiple times.
“Oh well, Olivia here is fake.” She sneered.
Olivia was trying hard not to let her anger get into her, but she was really angry. She shot Lucy a glare.
“Whooo!” The class cooed in unison.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Olivia asked.
“Exactly what I’m supposed to do.” Lucy stated.
“Guys, do you think Olivia’s clothes are from the real brand? Look here, the label is even fake!” Lucy laughed, pulling the badge on Olivia’s shirt.
If anything, Olivia had no idea, or knowledge of the brand of cloth she was wearing. She knew the clothes were quite expensive, and she put on any one she felt like.
So what Lucy was busy spouting got her annoyed, that she couldn’t bear to overlook her.
Olivia happened to hear a girl whisper yell at Lucy, and at that time, she knew her name.
“Lucy or whatever your name might be, I wouldn’t have you stop me here, just to spout nonsense!” Olivia spat, her eyes staring daggers at Lucy.
Now, the classroom fell silent immediately, with Olivia’s words. They stared unbelievably at her, like they didn’t believe she would talk back at Lucy.
Lucy paused, somewhat shocked with Olivia’s defense. No, she wasn’t expecting her to talk straight to her face. What exactly is she trying to prove?
“Who did you just say, is spouting nonsense? Don’t you have any shame?” She hissed.
Olivia smiled, her gaze washing over Lucy, before she retracted it, letting her gaze dart around all the students in the classroom.
They all had an amused look on their face, somewhere busy gossiping and whispering to themselves, while some looked away avoiding to look into her eyes.
Olivia glanced back at Lucy, “As much as you have so much time to entertain people, I don’t have time to entertain you.”
With that said, Olivia turned to leave. But before she took one step, she felt her hair being pulled by someone. She winced.
“You dare to leave, when we aren’t done talking? Who do you think you are, bitch?”
Slap!
A hot slap landed on Lucy’s cheeks before she could say another word, making her fall to the floor. Her cheeks hurt, as her eyes stung with pain.
Lucy was so angry, that her face turned purple. She glared at Olivia with a knowing anger and hatred, “You dare to slap me? You’re so dead!”
“I can slap you again if I like, I don’t need to pick a day.”
Everyone was in shock, as they couldn’t help but gasp. First, the slap was unexpected. They had mistaken Olivia’s innocent and fragile face to weakness. They underestimated her.
Olivia was about to leave, but paused, she turned to look at Lucy.
“You don’t get to bully anyone you see. Instead of spotting out who wears real and fake clothes, you should use that time to spot out a perfect medication for your freckled face.”
With that, she turned and left.
Lucy sat on the floor, her eyes shimmering with pure anger and hatred. Olivia wasn’t going to go Scot free!
She got up m, to meet the gaze of everyone, “What are you looking at, huh? Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!” She cursed, hurriedly walking out of the class.
Amidst the student, Ava, sat quietly, watching the show, with a smile tugged on her lips. She was happy that Lucy finally met someone who wouldn’t take shit from her.
But that didn’t stop the hatred and anger she’s harboring for Olivia. Now, all she needed to do was to go to Lucy and know what she thinks. If their mindset about Olivia was the same, then they would join forces to make sure Olivia regrets coming to Redcrest.
Ava left quietly, thinking of a possible place Lucy could be.
Olivia planned not to do anything that would get attention, but a few minutes ago, she did just that. She couldn’t bear to stay quiet, while someone bad mouths or try to make a fool out of her.
Now, with all that drama, she was sure that news was going to spread, and everyone was sure to look more to find more about her.
She couldn’t care less.

Xavier was dressed handsomely in an ash custom made suit, making him exude the aura of nobility and proficiency.
He could easily pull off on any outfit he wore, with his hot and chiseled body.
Besides him stood Franco, his right hand man and a few other men of his. They were all dressed in black suits, giving them a sense of authority.
They walked majestically, as they escorted Xavier to the airport. They didn’t go unnoticed by the people in the airport.
Shortly after they arrived at teg airport, their flight was ready. Xavier could’ve used the family’s private jet, but he knew Morgan would find out, and might look into what he was doing.
So therefore, he didn’t use the jet, and boarded a plane. He got into the plane, followed by his men. There were reserved Vip seats for them, as Klein’s enterprise was a big name.
Xavier had a proud and gloating look, he couldn’t wait to get the partnership evidence from Mr Marco. Only then would Morgan know that he wasn’t one to trifle with.
Meanwhile, in Morgan’s office, Mr Marco sat with Morgan, as they were discussing various topics about the auction and other business talks.
Morgan got a text message from Nicholas.
(He has left already.)
Morgan read the message and nodded, a smirk etched on his lips.
