Ava was dressed and ready to go to class. She knew it would be easier to shake off the recent feeling of anger and hatred that she’s been harboring lately.
She bid her mom goodbye and left the house. Ava was supposed to borrow her father’s car, but he left very early for work.
Not long before she left the house, Ava was cornered by a black expensive Lamborghini, with tinted glasses.
She paused, her brows slightly knitted as she glanced at the car, waiting for someone to come out from the car.
The car window was wined down, and Nicholas’s face came into view. His face was clouded with disdain and disgust.
Ava’s gaze fell on him, her knitted brows got deeper. His face seemed familiar yet unfamiliar to her.
Oh no! Hold on…. isn’t this Olivia’s sugar daddy?
She thought, shooting Nicholas a questioning glance.
“Get into the car.” He muttered, barely audible.
Nicholas hated and hated Ava, he would’ve just splashed dirt on her, if not that the young master’s order was to bring her.
How dare she call him an old man and a sugar daddy. No, he would suffer a little for her stupid mouth.
“Why should I get into the car?” Ava asked, crossing her arms.
“You’re getting in or not?”
Ava stared at him for a while, before she opened the back door and got in.
Even though he was Olivia’s sugar daddy, as long as he was rich, she wouldn’t mind snatching him from Nicholas.
Was he tired of Olivia already?
Ava smiled at the thought of it. She couldn’t wait to see the jealousy and anger that would be all over Olivia’s face, when she saw her with her sugar daddy.
As all these thoughts were going on in her mind, Nicholas glanced at her through the rear mirror, the only word he could think of was SLUT.
It wasn’t long before Nicholas drove to an estate. Morgan had instructed him to bring Ava to another estate of his, in Quezon city.
Is this his house? Oh my gawd!
Ava exclaimed inwardly, covering her mouth in shock, as her eyes glistened with greed and excitement.
Nicholas got down from the car, not even bothering to open the door for her. She hurried out of the car, quickly following him.
Now, her perspective of Nicholas had changed. He was rich and rich, no wonder, Olivia was stuck with him.
She kept following Nicholas, until they were inside a magnificent and modern room with a luxurious interior decor.
Nicholas paused on his steps, giving Ava one last glance before he said. ” Sit over there. I’d be right back.”
“What about my school? I was going to see class when you stopped me.” Ava said, glancing at his thin back.
“I can drive you back there right now, if you don’t like it here.”
“No no, it’s fine. I’d stay here.”
Slut!
Nicholas nodded and left.
****
Olivia had waited all night for Morgan, but he didn’t come back to the house. She didn’t call his number, afraid that he wouldn’t pick up, especially after what happened.
Was he still angry with her?
She thought, getting dressed in loose black denim long pants, and purple polo, with short sleeves.
Today was the first day she was going to attend Redcrest High college. Neither Nicholas was around, who was going to take her there.
This didn’t seem to bother Olivia as she found it better, she’d rather ask for directions from people till she gets to the school.
Olivia didn’t want the public, especially her school to know she was married or even have something to do with Morgan.
His reputation as well as hers was going to be in question.
Olivia tied her into a bun, exposing her jade like face. Her dressing made him appear more beautiful, exuding a charm of youthfulness and innocence.
She knew Redcrest was in the center of Quezon City, but didn’t know the exact place. She was finally going to use Morgan’s card, the one he gave to her after she had signed the contract.
Olivia walked for a while, before she was able to see a cab, she flagged it down and gave her address to the driver.
She was just adjusting herself in the car, when she heard the driver’s voice.
“Sister-in-law?”
Olivia quickly looked up, her eyes meeting with Xavier’s eyes.
“You?” She smiled, finally making herself comfortable.
“Nice to see you again. This isn’t a coincidence, I must assume it isn’t.” Xavier laughed.
“Well, let’s say it’s a coincidence.” Olivia added.
“Alright. You’re going to Redcrest, your school there?” He asked, looking at her through the rear mirror.
“Yeah, I do school there. It’s my first day actually.” Olivia smiled.
“Oh wow! That’s nice. Redcrest is nice, I actually schooled there. Unfortunately Morgan was sent abroad to school, he was so headstrong that Dad couldn’t tolerate it anymore.” Xavier burst into laughter.
Olivia smiled, as a blush crept up her cheeks, while she thought of what Morgan was like, when he was younger.
“What is your major?” Xavier asked.
“Uhhm, Arts and Fashion.”
“Aww that’s nice. Now, I’m proud to flaunt you as my sister in-law. You’re really worth it. I hope Morgan isn’t bullying you?” He asked, shooting her a glance at the last question.
Olivia burst into laughter, “No not at all.”
“Okay then.”
The car seemed to fall silent, with Olivia glancing at her phone. Her fingers were itching to dial Morgan’s number, but she decided against it.
Xavier kept stealing glances at her, through the rear mirror. A smirk etched on his face as all possible thoughts of killing Olivia flashed through his mind.
It wasn’t long before Xavier stepped on the brakes, bringing the car to a screeching halt.
“Ouch!” Olivia winced in pain, as she palmed her forehead, that was hit on something as a result of the sudden halt.
Her face quickly turned red, as she tried to force back the tears. Xavier stared at her through the rear mirror, his eyes darkening slightly as he saw her face.
“Such a little bump, and her face was all red. Tsk, how delicate?” He murmured, a smirk escaping his lips.
“Oh my goodness!! I’m so sorry. I didn’t know you were going to get hit.” Xavier babbled, looking apologetic, as he came down from the car, helping Olivia out.
“It’s fine. I’m okay.” Olivia smiled, falling for his apologies.
“It’s not fine, it’s not okay. Your face is red, oh my God, Morgan is going to strangle me to death. Please can you not tell him about this?” He begged, ruffling his hair.
Olivia glanced at him, a smile etched on her lips. “You’re this scared of Morgan?”
“Yeah, he’s worse than a devil!” He admitted.
I’m the devil myself. He can’t be worse than me.
“Alright, I won’t tell him.” Olivia assured.
She wasn’t going to tell Morgan in the first place, as she believed it was an accident and not necessarily needed.
“Thank you so much.” Xavier smiled, seemingly relieved.
He couldn’t have Olivia tell Morgan about this or him, he knew for sure that Morgan would speak bad about him and might find out his plans.
“You said you didn’t want to drive directly to the school gate. It’s walkable from here.” Xavier said, pointing at a distance, students were dropping in and out of the gate.
“Thanks Xavi.” Olivia smiled, nodding as she left for the direction Xavier has shown her.
Xavier stood there, for a while, his gaze etched on her trailing figure until she was completely out of sight.
He made a quick call, then got into his car and left.
