Xavier stilled on his seat. After some seconds, he quickly grabbed his phone and dialed a number.
“Hello boss,” a rough male’s voice was heard from the other end of the phone.
“Did you leave any trace that would trail back to me?” Xavier growled anxiously.
“No boss. Everything is clean.”
Xavier hung up the call. His eyes darted around the office, and stopped on his desk.
Just now, he thought that Morgan had already found out about the accident, but it seems to be his delusion.
“Watch how I take you down.” He smiled wickedly.
Morgan sat leisurely, swirling around the chair, when his phone rang. He took it and glanced at the screen, contemplating if he should take the call or not.
“Hello, Mr. Morgan, your father has requested to see you.”
“I’m busy today, I’d come next time.” Morgan said, his brows furrowed.
“But sir.. he refused to take his medications. Please come and see him.” The doctor pleaded.
“That Man!” Morgan sighed, hanging up the call.
He informed Nicholas and they quickly left for the hospital.
Morgan’s face turned cold, when he saw Cecilia in the hospital. If he knew she was already in the hospital then he wouldn’t have cared to come.
Cecilia quickly feigned a smile when she saw Morgan walk into the ward. “Morgan dear, I didn’t even know you were coming over. You could’ve called me on the phone.”
“I visit my father anytime I want, I don’t need to inform you or do I?” He said and brushed past her, stopping in front of his father.
Morgan stared at his father, a quick tenderness flashed past his eyes.
“Do you want to die that soon? It’s good but you still have to hold on a bit, I’m yet to find a wife and take over the company.” Morgan said, pushing out a chair for himself.
“Morgan, that’s not a way to talk to your father. Be mind at least.”
Morgan’s fists clenched in anger, as he heard the woman’s fake soft and coquettish voice. He remained silent and focused on his father.
“You sent for me, are you going to keep silent now? If you keep missing me like this, how do you want me to get a wife?”
Gilbert coughed and glanced at Cecilia, “Thanks for visiting, could you please give us some time alone” he said more of a statement than a question.
Cecilia wanted to protest but shook her head. She feigned a smile and nodded, “Okay then, I’ll be on my way.”
With that, she got up and left but not before glancing at Morgan, who didn’t even spare her a glance. She took it as a hint and left.
Morgan smirked, knowing that Cecilia won’t leave so easily. She was still at the door, with her ear glued on it. But that didn’t bother Morgan.
“I’d ask you again, why did you come back, after all these years of refusing to take responsibility for the company?” Gilbert said, his pale face, glancing at Morgan.
“Don’t you think, you’re stressing your brains thinking about this. Anyway, I’ve been bored lately and needs something to occupy myself with, meddling with the company’s affair wouldn’t hurt right?”
Gilbert paused, studying his face for a while, before finally nodding. He knew Morgan wasn’t the one to say his motive about something, if he decides to be discreet about something, then discreet it is.
“Have you found a wife?” He asked, knitting brows.
Morgan pinched his brows, a knowing smile escaping his lips as he nodded his head. “I guess.”
“You guess? What’s keeping you from bringing her to see me already? You unfilial son!”
“It’s not like she’s getting married to you. I’d bring her tomorrow.”
“Good then. That’s what I wanted to know.” Gilbert sighed in relief.
Morgan’s face darkened immediately, “Don’t tell me this is the reason you skipped medication and called me here.”
“Of course it is. Don’t forget to bring her tomorrow, you can now leave, I’m feeling sleepy.” Gilbert yawned as his eyelids were heavy.
Morgan still couldn’t believe his father could stoop so low and bring him to the hospital, just to ask him if he’s gotten a wife.
Although he knew his father was cunning, stooping this low…. he really didn’t expect it.
He left the hospital, but not before reminding his father of his meds.
Morgan went back to the office, but suddenly felt the urge to drive back home. He was supposed to meet with a client, but he canceled it, informing Nicholas to reschedule it.

Olivia was invited by Aunt Maureen, who wanted her to join her to harvest flowers from the garden. Olivia quickly agreed because she was bored.
Initially Olivia was nervous, because Aunt Maureen has been acting hatefully towards her. She couldn’t bring herself to trust her but the woman smiled, persuading her to join her.
It turns out that the middle aged woman was beyond her expectations. She wasn’t as strict and shrewd as she had thought her to be.
They were still talking and walking around the garden, picking the flowers which were due. The woman told Olivia a lot about the Gilbert’s family even though it was against their policy.
They were still discussing, when Olivia noticed Morgan’s car drive into the parking lot. She seemed to be lost for some seconds, but aunt Maureen’s voice snapped her out.
“We’ll stop here for today, go welcome the young master.”
Olivia smiled and nodded, “Thank you for today”
The woman smiled back, nudging her to go ahead.
Olivia could’ve ignored going to meet Morgan and continue to pick flowers with Aunt Maureen. But she needed to talk to Morgan.
Luckily for her, Morgan hasn’t entered his room yet, he was heading to his study when Olivia saw him. She called him after thinking of possible names she could call him.
“Hey!”
Morgan halted and turned to see Olivia walking up to him, her steps were hurried, as if scared he would disappear If she didn’t walk faster.
Just before she could get to him, she lost her footing and twirled, almost falling to the ground. Just when she thought she was going to fall, Morgan suddenly grabbed her waist, pulling her into his chest.
