“You know everything about Liam and I!” Aurelia didn’t ask again, but said it affirmatively.
“Yes. I saw him at a dinner party last time. He now holds the power of the Moore family and is ZL Group’s business partner. Callum also met him once.” What Elliot didn’t say was that he and Callum ignored Liam the whole time.
“Can’t you answer my question? I’m really curious! Why are you so nice to me? What do you want?” Aurelia repeated the question again.
Elliot shook his head helplessly. “If you are really very curious, I’m telling you now. Listen carefully!”
Aurelia sat up straighter, hanging on every word Elliot said.
“I treat you well because I want you to be happy and blessed!”
Aurelia was still sitting there, and after a long while, she looked at Elliot, who was drinking coffee in surprise, “That’s it?”
“That’s all. Is there anything else you want to hear?” Elliot asked puzzledly.
She found it hard to communicate with Elliot. Aurelia waved to Elliot with a forced smile and said, “Thank you, Mr. Richmond, for your advice. Goodbye!”
“Okay, go back to class and remember to go home early in the evening.”
What the hell was going on? Although she became a little less angry, she still didn’t want to see Laura!
ZL Group.
When Callum stepped into the company, everyone felt something was wrong. His usually cold face became even more gloomy, and the employees who greeted him automatically moved away, fearing that they would accidentally irritate him.
Callum brought the gloomy and cold atmosphere into the conference room. The director of the finance department was scolded as soon as he reported a few words about his work.
Other executives had difficulty breathing, and they spoke carefully and thought twice before speaking. Even so, everyone got scolded.
Rory quietly slipped out of the conference room and made a phone call. “Madam, it’s me!”
“I know. I remember your phone number,” Aurelia answered boredly while lying on the desk.
“What happened to Mr. Finnegan today? Who offended him? Do you know what happened? You have to save me!” Rory, who was scolded and left the meeting room crying, asked for Aurelia’s help.
Aurelia paused. “What’s wrong with him?”
“We don’t know who pissed Mr. Finnegan off. From the vice president to the secretary, all were scolded by Mr. Finnegan! I guess after the meeting, I will be the next! Madam, can you think of a way to save us?” Rory said in desperation.
Was it because of her?
She wasn’t sure. “It’s no use calling me. He won’t listen to me.”
“Who else will he listen to? If he doesn’t listen to you, will he take me back from the construction site? Mrs. Finnegan, please be kind and persuade Mr. Finnegan to act nice with us. Please! I beg you!”
Rory didn’t know what was wrong with Callum, so he changed the subject and asked, “Mrs. Finnegan, is Mr. Finnegan not satisfied sexually?”
Aurelia was speechless.
Just then, Aurelia heard a roar from the other end of the phone. “Rory, get in here!”
Rory was so nervous that he forgot to hang up the phone and rushed into the meeting room. Finally, he stood beside Callum and said respectfully, “Mr. Finnegan!”
Callum noticed that he was on the phone. “It’s meeting time. Who are you calling?”
Oops! Rory quickly hid his phone behind his back, but it was too late.
The more he hid, the more it showed that he was guilty. Callum snatched his phone with a sullen face, and when he saw the caller ID on it, his expression instantly became strange.
He glanced at Rory, whose forehead was covered in sweat, and put the phone to his ear. “What’s up?”
These two simple words caught the attention of all the executives who were looking down. The tone in which Callum said these two words was so gentle!
“No, no… Oh, yes… I was shopping outside and saw a nice… A nice book. Do you want it?”
There was silence on the other end of the phone. Aurelia wiped the cold sweat from her forehead. For a moment, she really couldn’t think of what to say. There was only a book in front of her.
“Are you apologizing?”
“Goodbye!” Aurelia said and was about to hang up the phone.
“Just hang up the phone if you dare!” Callum suddenly stood up from his seat and glanced coldly at the management who were looking down. “Dismiss!”
After saying that, Callum took Rory’s phone and left first.
After making sure Callum was far away, the whole conference room suddenly went wild. Everyone gathered around Rory and asked, “Who did you call?”
“Rory, who is that person that could make Mr. Finnegan change so quickly?”
“Rory, you are our savior. If Mr. Finnegan keeps scolding me like this, I will jump off the building!”
Rory cleared his throat and said, “This is the president’s private matter. I can’t disclose it. I’ll go back to work!”
Back in the president’s office, Callum remembered that he was holding Rory’s phone. “Call my cell phone.”
Then the call ended.
Aurelia was stunned. Was he still angry?
While she was struggling over whether to call Callum, she got Rory’s text message. “Madam, why is Mr. Finnegan angry again?”
Aurelia quickly dialed Callum’s cell phone number. “Callum, why are you so angry?”
The man sneered. “You’re the reason.”
How could she have deserved Callum to get so angry because of her?
There was silence on the phone for a while, and Callum asked, “Do you have anything to say to me?”
“Yes, I do!”
“Speak!”
“Can I stay in the dormitory tonight?”
“No!”
“Then I have nothing to say.”
Callum was unhappy again. “I’ll pick you up tonight.”
“No need!”
Callum gritted his teeth. “Don’t push your luck.”
“I have to go to class, bye!”
This time the call was really hung up.
“Rory, get in here!”
Rory outside the office shuddered. Wasn’t it over just now? Why did he get angry again?
In the following time, Callum caught Rory and bossed him around.
That night, Aurelia actually stayed in the dormitory.
She sang in the bar until late at night and Briar asked someone to call the resident assistant to let her in.
Unfortunately, when she woke up early the next morning, she found that she was on her period.
What was even more tragic was that since Callum didn’t allow her to live in the dormitory anymore, she didn’t have any clothes to change into in the dormitory.
