His chest vibrated and a low growl emanated from his throat. He felt a deep rush of emotions and he grabbed her tighter, pushing her body against his like he wanted her to sink into his own body. He just couldn’t get enough of the kiss. He wanted more with her. Heck! He wanted everything with her. All of her.
Olive moaned as her hands grabbed him tightly over his shoulders. His tough and rigid body was like a fortress to her, protecting her by encasing her in. She didn’t want to leave that fortress. She wanted to stay in his arms forever. Who knew a man’s arms could feel so good and comfortable that a woman would not want to leave?
“Wayne,” she cried as she felt the same rush of emotions he was feeling. She was not as strong as he was so she felt like she was going to breakdown soon. She was already shaking and her whole body was crying on him to do something to her. He groaned when her smells hit him. Immediately, he buried his face into her neck to save himself.
“You smell so damn good!” he groaned and tightened his grip around her involuntarily. Olive somehow had an idea of the smell he was referring to.
“Down there?” she asked with mischievous eyes. He stilled for a few seconds before looking at her face. She winked at him and slowly bit her lip.
Right then, golden slash amber glow burst from Wayne’s eyes. Olive gasped a little as it was too sudden and really unexpected. She could see traces of blue swirling in his eyes.
“Can you handle what you’re looking for?” he asked with his jaws clenched very tight.
“I was created for you,” she answer. Her hands moved up towards his hair.
“So I can handle you,” she added and was about to dig her fingers into his hair. However, Wayne grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her hand away from him.
“Why?” Olive asked with a pout.
“Because if your fingers touch my hair, I’m done. And I really want to take you somewhere right now,” he answered and she laughed. His Fierce eyes receded to his normal dark brown eye color.
“What are we waiting for then?” she asked rhetorically. She tucked her hand in his arm and they began to walk out.
They once again left the Balendin Castle without any guards even though they had permitted them to follow them the other day to the villa. Wayne said the place he was taking Olive to was very private and he would prefer they go alone.
“Are you all right, Wayne?” Olive asked as she noticed that he was overly quiet while driving and only looking ahead. Instead of replying with words, he just nodded, held her hand and continued like she didn’t ask any question. Olive got worried immediately. She wanted to ask more but she didn’t. And besides, where were they going?
Few minutes later and they were on the road that led to the city. Olive looked as buildings began to come into view. They were residential buildings of officials. Most of them were big buildings. Looking so luxurious. As they passed, she looked at a certain building and saw Gia walking towards a car. She huffed and looked away.
“What is it?” Wayne asked, looking at her.
“I just saw Gia,” she answered and relaxed on the chair, like she wasn’t troubled. But Gia’s words resounded in her mind. That she had tried to take the image and pride of the pack. As well as their Alpha’s life. She wouldn’t have cared about what she had said if she wasn’t guilty.
Olive didn’t know that Wayne had been staring at her and that the car was about to park. She only realized after she saw the objects going past become slow.
“Why are you stopping the-” she stopped when she saw his gaze on her.
“Why are you… why are you… What’s with the stare, Wayne?” she asked, totally alarmed. He parked the car by the roadside and relaxed on the seat, looking sideways at her.
“I went back to the Circular Cabinet yesterday to get the drink I was having earlier on, that was after Dolly attended to you. You see, I ran out of that drink in my bedroom,” he stated and she furrowed her brows.
“Oookaaay,” she drawled, not knowing why he was telling her that.
“I entered and realized that no one else had entered after I left you there earlier. Except…,” he paused to get her reaction. Her heartbeat increased drastically even though she was pretending to be very calm.
“Except Gia,” he continued.
“Gia entered the Circular Cabinet while we were gone? What was she doing there?” Olive pretended in order to avoid any pressing questions. She did not like where the conversation was heading to. She did not want him to find out what Gia had said, because she was guilty.
“Not while we were gone, baby. While I was gone,” he said and brought his hand to her face, then rubbed his fingers on her cheek.
“What do you… what do you… mean?” she stammered.
“That means she entered while you were still inside. And her scent was the first to leave. What I’m trying to say is, Gia entered, told you something and walked out.” He watched how her face paled. She gulped down a lump and looked away outside the window.
“That was why you cried, wasn’t it?” he asked and she didn’t reply. He had gotten his answer. Gia had run her mouth again. What was he going to do with that bitch of a wolf? She made his mate doubt him. She made her cry. Made her faint which scared him to death. What was he going to do with that woman?
“Fuck that bitch!!” he banged his hands on the steering wheel and cussed loudly. Olive flinched in her seat and leaned against the door.
“Wayne, it’s nothing. She didn’t say anything,” Olive lied to calm him down.
“Don’t lie to me especially when you know I can hear your pulse and heartbeat,” he warned strictly.
“Now tell me what Gia said to you,” he commanded in a more menacing manner.
