Lord Lina

Alpha Knight fed himself with her fear and a smile curved amidst those killer fangs of his.
“Well, I have missed you too. Can’t wait to do what I love to do most with you,” he growled and gave her a resounding slap, slashing three of his claws across her face. She screamed as the blood poured down and pain seared through her entire being. She felt the electrified poison seeping in and the new wounds sizzled as if being fried in hot oil.
The men around her didn’t even flinch. They were like rigid statues, created only to frown without feelings.
“You dare escape from me? Where did you think you were going to hide?!” Wayne boomed and grabbed her neck, piercing her skin and making blood flow down from it. She couldn’t help herself because her hands were apart and chained to two mighty pillars. And gold… she was defenseless with gold.
“Why don’t you… why don’t you release me and fight?” she grumbled. He raised his thick eyebrow at her.
“This isn’t a fair fight. Allow me-” she coughed out blood,
“-allow me fight you too,” she completed amidst difficulty.
“And when have I been fair, Lina? I’m never fair.”
He lifted her up, her feet dangling above the floor then tossed her backwards. The chains jerked her back up and she yelped in pain.
“However, I think you’re right. There’s nothing that I could possibly do to you right now that would please me completely because you’re powerless. So, I’d like to fight you and see you lose… again,” Wayne stated and moved away from her.
“What? Alpha, that’s… that’s dangerous,” Jake complained. Even the other three people had worry etched on their lone faces.
Lord Lina smirked. Yes, they were afraid of her.
“No, Jake. Let me see this witch fight. But Lina, you’ll be fighting me without your sorcery,” he ordered and she smirked.
“Then you would be fighting me without your fangs and claws,” she stated. He withdrew them but his eyes didn’t go back to normal.
“Deal,” he said and Jake went to uncuff and unchain her. As soon as she was free, her eyes turned purple.
“Let’s see if you can beat me, Big Bad Alpha,” she said with gritted teeth and sprang to her feet. Wayne scratched his forehead like he was bored then stood with both his hands on his waist.
“Shall we begin?” he asked in an equally bored tone of voice. Jake, Terry and the two other Alphas from the Inner Circle stepped back for them.
With a deafening screech from Lord Lina, she sprang into the air and launched herself at Wayne, pinning her fingers into his face. He pulled her off of him and threw her against a huge pillar. She bounced against it and hit the floor in pain. She still felt weak because of the gold, but wanted to fight nevertheless. She launched herself up again and hit him in the stomach, but he didn’t even budge. They began to fight in a hand combat… with her being very swift and fast as it was her nature.
However, Wayne knew every of her moves before she even threw them at him. He kept blocking them off without even exhausting little of his energy. But when he got bored with her, he threw her a deathly punch that sent her flying and hitting the floor two metres away. She lifted her head immediately but he was already towering above her. She smiled.
“Don’t think you won. I’m not strong yet,” she croaked as she tried to lift her head to look at him. He sighed and placed his huge boot on her neck, pressing his whole weight down on her. She stifled a groan as her head hit the floor.
“This wasn’t even a fight. I almost got bored to death, Lina,” he drawled and sighed again.
“I’ll keep you locked up again. This time, you’re not leaving. Besides, I’ve got that Shaman by my side now. He knows your weaknesses,” Wayne stated.
“And I know yours,” Lina growled and eyed him devilishly. A muscle in Wayne’s jaw flickered.
“What… did you say?” he asked. She chuckled softly.
“You think I wanted to fight with you because I desired to defeat you here?”
The whole hall was silent and she loved the feel of curiosity and anger in the air.
“Olive, isn’t it?” she asked again and Wayne’s eyes darkened.
“She’s such a good girl for someone like you, Alpha Knight. You think she’s your hope? Ha ha ha… hope my foot!” she spat out.
“She’s your downfall. And I promise you, I won’t stop until I use your weakness against you,” she growled. Wayne bent down and drew his claws again. He trailed them across her cheek down the length of her arm, drawing lines of red against her skin. His jaws were clenched tight. His eyes were still red with fury and gold with fierceness.
“I agree with you. She is my weakness. But then, she is also my strength. Touch her… and see what it feels like to taste hell on earth.”

Olive yawned for the tenth time since she stepped down from the bed. When was Wayne coming back? She drank a bottle of water and sat on the leather sofa close to the bar. She was totally bored and was thinking of what to do. It had been an hour since he left already and she prayed he wouldn’t take any more time to come.
“What am I going to do while staying here?” she asked herself as she stood up from the sofa and began to walk towards the pool.
“I can’t keep living in boredom. Or waiting for Wayne to show up,” she added. She thought maybe she could enrol in something so she decided to talk it out with Dolly. Right then, the door open and she turned back abruptly.
“Wayne!” she screamed in excitement and ran into his arms. He smiled wickedly.
“Did she miss me already?” he asked as he had her cradled in his arms. He felt her nodding against his chest. He sighed while smiling at the same time. He felt peace while she was there against him.
“Plus, I’m hungry,” she stated and looked up at him. His eyes were back to normal and so was his hair, so she didn’t notice anything that might have taken place with him. Also, he rid himself of any strange scent.
“I’m hungry too. Lunch is on the way,” he stated and held her face in his arms. He remembered what Lina said as he stared into her green eyes.
“I’ll protect you. With my life,” he said with firmness and determination. Olive frowned. Why did he say that all of a sudden?
“Is anything wrong, Wayne?” she asked with worry.
“Nothing’s wrong.”
He smiled and led her to the dining table. He made her sit then sat adjacent her. The door opened and maids filed in with trays on their hands.
Olive gulped down. Not because she was salivating the food, but because she felt a strange sensation.
Something was wrong somewhere.
