Gia’s Abrupt Intrusion

Wayne’s face turned into a deep frown that he suddenly looked scary. Olive was still choking so he turned his face from Gia and handed her a napkin.
“Sip tiny water,” he said in a very dark and angry voice.
“Thanks,” she croaked and sipped a little water from his glass. He got up and stood behind her, patting her back gently until she calmed down. Her eyes were red and her face flushed.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to barge in on whatever’s-” Gia’s circled her index finger around, gesturing at the table, “-going on here.” Her tone was purely sarcastic. Olive gave her a glare. How did she even get here?
Wayne stood upright and looked at Gia who returned his stare with one as dark and hard as the one he was giving her. She was so angry. So mad at him. If her heart could throw daggers then Olive would be pinned to the wall with daggers all over her body.
How dare that lowlife come and take a position not befitting to her? She, Gia, was the best woman in the whole pack for that position. She couldn’t just stand and watch it being snatched away. She had to act fast. And now that she had her means, she would not stop using it until she had her way. Olive was going to be thrown out and she, Gia, would be the Luna of the whole Balendin Pack. She would be the one who’s name would be mentioned after that of the Big Bad Alpha.
“How did you get here?” Wayne asked calmly. Gia scoffed.
“By using my car,” she answered. Wayne placed his fingers over his forehead. His thumb was directly on a throbbing vein at one side of his head, while his index and middle finger were pressed at the other top side-curve of his forehead. He always did that whenever he wanted to calm himself. Whenever he wanted to act rashly but had to not do it.
“What is going on here by the way?” Gia walked forward and went to the table. She picked a plate and banged it back on the table in front of Olive, almost shattering it.
“Don’t tell me you’re going out with another random girl now? Wayne, we talked about this!” her voice was very accusing. Olive bit her lip in rising anger and looked at Wayne to at least say something to Gia. She wasn’t a random girl and Gia knew that. Why was she harassing her?
“Talked about what?” Wayne finally asked in a calm voice. Though, Olive could sense the agitation in it.
“That it’s high time you stop sleeping with different ladies and disband that damn harem of yours! You are the Alpha of a huge pack, Wayne! What would you do when news of you being a womanizer goes out? That too with low life girls?” Gia spat out her poison. The way she was speaking, it was like she had a certain authority over Wayne. Like she and him were on a different level of mutualism. Olive started having those thoughts again. That those two had something between them. If not, why wasn’t he saying anything serious? Why was he so calm?
“I disbanded my harem last week,” he revealed and Gia’s face fell. She was really planning to hammer on that topic in front of Olive. So it could hurt her that the Alpha had a plethora of women waiting for him.
“And I’m not going out with a lowlife,” he added. Olive watched the two of them facing each other. Gia was not too tall, so she had to look very high up to Wayne’s face. While he had his head crouched down to see her.
“Whoever she is, why did you bring her here? You know how much I value this place. This place is supposed to be mine,” she said with a pathetic, teary voice. Olive’s breath hitched in her throat. What was going on here? This place was supposed to be Gia’s? Could it be that-
“When you brought me here, you said this should just remain between us. Why would you bring another lady to this particular place? Why not anywhere else?”
This time, Gia’s eyes were now red and moist. Olive gasped as she heard what Gia had said. She had been right. These two were…
“Gia,” Wayne called in his annoyingly calm voice. He was still standing straight, staring at her intently as if he wanted to merge with her soul through her eyes. Olive was angry now. He wasn’t denying anything that she was saying. And his body didn’t show signs of denial or anger too!
“Wayne,” she called but the word didn’t leave her mouth. She wanted to call out to him for real this time but-Gia covered the distance between them, stood on her toes and kissed Wayne.
Olive gasped, her palms flew to her mouth in horror. She didn’t know when her vision blurred with tears. Gia was kissing Wayne her mate right in front of her. She got on her feet with the tears streaming down. Then she took a turn and dashed out through the curtains.
She had to leave. She couldn’t stand Wayne hurting her like this. He had brought Gia to this very, same house. This was he and Gia’s special house. Yet he brought her and even gave it to her. He might have even given Gia in the past. He had something with Gia. That explained why he wasn’t scolding her when she was blurting out words at him.
Olive cried as she dashed across the living room. But before she could reached the door, she stopped.
‘Mate,’ her wolf growled through her lips. Her eyes darkened, with a bit of grey mixing in. She was going to shift. With the speed of a lykae, she turned and sped back to the dining. Her eyes grey and black, her fangs lengthened, her claws drawn and her instincts only to take what’s hers.
She saw Gia hugging Wayne, her head resting on his broad chest and her hands clasped behind him. But he was standing in that very spot he was when Olive dashed out. He didn’t even move a finger. And his eyes were slowly turning to a fiery blue, it was like he was going to burst out with the intensity increase of his eyes by the second.
Olive didn’t even care about him. She flung herself forward, pierced her claws into Gia’s arm and flung her over the table. Gia screamed as she landed on plates, knives and glass-shattering them and injuring herself too.
“Don’t you dare! Don’t-dare-touch-my-mate!” her wolf growled out and launched at Gia again. She threw her at the wall, picked her up again, sliced her stomach with her claws and let her slide to the ground. Her innards visible within her torn up dress.
Gia was now bloodied, and coughing out blood. Olive slashed against her face and was was about to tighten her clawed fingers around her neck to choke her to death when Wayne grabbed her from behind and kissed her deeply. He wrapped his arms around her possessively, grazing his lips with her fangs.
“Mine,” she purred in his mouth before returning his kiss.
