“You look magnificent. Like a Prince,” Olive mused as she smiled and walked up to him. She didn’t know she also had an effect on him.
He was wearing a dark blue dress shirt. Ironed neatly and it clung to his body perfectly.
The top buttons were out, showing huge chest muscles underneath. His unruly hair looked tamed as it was gelled backwards, leaving only a small fraction hanging over his face beautifully. Yes, he looked beautiful and handsome at the same time.
His black pants had two lines vertically moving from top to bottom. Who ironed his clothes for him? That person was good.
It took all the self control that Wayne had not to pull Olive and kiss her tenderly on those glistening lips of hers. She looked so beautiful that he wanted to merge himself with her, to look this beautiful too.
“You look beautiful, Olive,” he managed to say. Then he took her hand gently and kissed it. Lingering more than expected of her. She felt her heart melting and she blushed.
“Thank you, Wayne,” she appreciated and gave him a very beautiful smile.
“Are you ready?” he asked.
“Yes. But, I need to wear my shoes and get a jacket first,” she said and he slowly let go of her hand.
“I found this in the hallway,” she said and gave him the chain. His eyes darkened as he looked at it and she almost regretted showing it to him.
“What… what’s wrong?” she asked. He took the chain in his palm and looked intently at it, his jaws clenched hard.
“It belongs to one of my allies,” his voice that was just excited and smooth earlier had now turned into that deep, dark and angry voice.
“Oh,” she simply mumbled even though she wanted to ask why it changed his mood when it belonged to one of his allies.
“He gave it to me on our way back this morning from our journey. He just wants me to help him find the owner. That’s all,” he shrugged and smiled.
Olive knew he didn’t want to tell her anything more, but she was grateful he at least told her why he had it.
“It’s a pretty chain. Anyway, let me wear my shoes,” she pointed to the shoes staying beside the dressing table. He let her walk past and she sat down on the chair then pulled the shoes to her. Before she could bend to wear them, Wayne was already crouching down on one knee and lifting her leg.
She shuddered at his warm touch.
“I can wear it, Wayne,” she protested as he pulled her feet into the shoe. It was a silver heel with tiny jewels in it. Dolly had of course gotten it for her.
“I didn’t say you couldn’t wear it,” came Wayne’s voice. He helped her wear the second one too then got up. He lifted her up and placed his second arm on her waist.
“Better. Now you can look me in the eye. Even though not directly,” he teased her and she laughed.
“It’s not my fault you’re so tall, okay,” she defended herself and he chuckled deeply. He walked her to the jacket on the bed and turned her around. It was a white suit jacket and he helped her wear it. It would be chilly outside and she would pull it when they get to their destination.
Olive picked a silver clutch matching her shoes and smiled to Wayne.
“I’m ready,” she said and he positioned his arm for her to hold. She held unto his arm, just below his elbow and they both walked out of the room in silence. Olive wanted to ask where it was they were going, but refrained from it. She decided to trust him blindly.
They entered the elevator and went downstairs. Guards immediately surrounded them, and this time Wayne didn’t stop them. They followed them to a limousine standing by the huge fountain in front of the castle.
“We are using a limousine?” Olive asked with surprise.
“Yes, mate. Our first date is supposed to have poise elegance and style,” he answered with a sideways smile. Olive’s eyes brightened even more. Yes! Wayne was actually taking her on a date. Olive was going on a real date for the first time in her life. Why did she overlook this and tag it a normal dinner earlier?
A guard opened the door for them and Wayne helped Olive sit inside comfortably before sitting beside her. The door was closed and soon the car began to move. She was still holding onto Wayne’s hand after he held her and helped her enter, not remembering to let go now. Wayne didn’t even bother. He loved the way she was holding him.

Gia had just settled down for her dinner in her house. She was living alone, apart from the servants and her personal female guards. Her father lived close to the castle while she lived a little farther from it.
Gia’s life was boring away from work. She had no friends or close family relations. She was the only child and her parents were divorced since she was fifteen. Her mother was living with humans and practically identified as one. From what Gia heard, she had gotten a new family. She usually felt pained by that, but always acted like she didn’t care.
Because of her boring personal life, she never took a break from work. She never went on vacations and preferred to travel because of work only. Her house was always lacking that feeling of home. It was like a hotel room. Luxurious yet no bonds to it. Well, she didn’t notice anything because she hardly stayed there anyway.
As she began to eat gently like a noble lady should, her phone beeped. She picked it up and saw it was a message from Sin. She swiped it open and a deep frown appeared on her face.
The message read: Chief, the Alpha and his mate are heading out for what seems like an official dinner night. There are no functions or parties today so I believe it is something personal. The location they’re heading to is unknown.
Attached to the message was a clear photo of Olive holding Wayne as they walked towards a limousine. Their outfit showed they were going for an exquisite dinner. She clenched her fist and replied: Trail the car and text me their destination. I’m coming.
With that, Gia stormed off with her phone, knocking off the huge glass jar of orange juice on the table with reckless abandon.
