Echoes Of Tragedy

Book:The Billionaire Alpha Contract Lover Published:2024-8-24

There was an accident during the
kidnapping. Jackson’s mother died on the spot, and his father later fell into a coma.
Jackson was picked up by human traffickers and sold to a family. Two later, his adoptive parents pa*sed away, and he was sent to the orphanage.
Jackson’s brother was lucky. He was protected by his father and escaped the disaster. Later, the housekeeper found him and brought him home.
But Jackson’s brother had had brain can cer all these years.
He could only send someone to bring Jackson home by force to protect the Sterling pack, which he had obtained with incredible difficulty.
Jackson’s brother knew about Taya’s existence, but he felt that her family background would not be able to help Jackson. Not only was she also an orphan who had no powerful connections to offer the Sterling pack, she also couldn’t ever be a proper Luna.
Besides that, it would affect his mediation with his uncles, who were eyeing the Alpha position, looking for a chance to take control of the pack. As such, his brother hid the fact that Jackson had lost his memory. He knew he was going to di e, and with his father still being in a vegetative state, it was important to make sure Jackson could take over without incident.
However, he didn’t expect Taya to bug him at the Sterling pack house. Her words shook him. So his brother had no choice but to send someone to bribe the people in the orphanage and destroy all their photos. That’s why, when Jackson investigated, he hadn’t found anything.
Jackson believed his brother’s words and thought Taya was a scheming lia r. He ordered the pack guards to drive her away, off of Sterling pack land.
Later, Taya insisted on looking for Jackson, but she thoroughly angered his brother. In anger, Jackson’s brother pretended to be Jackson and tried to kill Taya.
Then, Taya had never come to find Jackson again. Jackson had been sent abroad for Alpha training by his elder brother.
Jackson was gone for three years, receiving all of the training necessary to learn pack politics and laws, both domestically and internationally. Then he received word that he had to come home and take over as Alpha because his brother had died.
Not long after Jackson took over as Alpha, his father woke up.
Now, they were in unknown territory. Jackson had been made the Alpha, but when his father woke up, he would naturally be the Alpha.
His father had only woken up about a year ago, so he didn’t know what Jackson’s brother had done.
Jackson didn’t ask his father about it when he noticed something was wrong.
Not long after Jackson’s father woke he sent his uncle, who had kidnapped his family, to prison as a witness.
Now, the Sterling Pack was entirely in their hands. However, the family was huge, and Jackson still needed to stay in there and help the older Alpha.
But now that Jackson had regained all his memories, he was in no mood to care about the Sterling Pack.
If he could do it again, Jackson would rather be Silas and stay by Taya’s side.
Even though he had been poor and miserable, Taya was with him. But now…
Jason took a deep breath, and the sound of his father coughing came to his ears again. “Jackson, the Sterling Pack can’t do without you. Hurry up and go home…”
Back home, Jackson’s heart was so heavy that he couldn’t breathe.
Although Jackson’s father had woken up, his body was disabled, and he could not move. He could only spend the rest of his life in the hospital bed. He wasn’t strong enough to be the true Alpha, but he had been respected and loved, so many in the pack were willing to overlook the odd situation.
In addition, he had lost his mate and pup, which made him depressed. Now he was about to d ie.
If Jackson didn’t go home, the Sterling Pack that his father and brother had risked their lives to keep would fall into someone else’s hands.
Jackson tightened his grip on his phone and withdrew his reluctant gaze from Taya’s house.
“Fine,” he replied.
Stella put Griffon’s coat in a garment bag and carried it to the villa.
She pushed open the door of the study. The afterglow of the setting sun shone through the French windows and sprinkled on the man’s body, covering it with a layer of faint golden light.
Stella glanced at the pile of cigarette butts in the trash can and frowned slightly.
Griffon didn’t smoke, and she didn’t know when he started.
But she had no right to interfere in his business. She knocked on the doorframe to alert him of her presence.
Come in.”
The Alpha did not even turn his head, just spat the words out as if he was uninterested.
Stella walked over. “Alpha, Ms. Palmer asked me to return this to you.”
She handed the bag to him. Only then did Griffon turn around and glance at her.
“Throw it away.”
He looked indifferent, as if he had abandoned something he did not care about.
“Yes.”
Stella turned to leave with the paper bag.
Stella had guessed that Griffon would ask her to throw it away, but she still came here. She didn’t dare to dispose of his things at will and risk the Alpha’s wra th.
When she walked out the door and was about to throw the bag into a large trash can, the man’s voice suddenly came from behind her.
“Put it there.”
Stella looked back at him, but he didn’t look at her. He still had his back to her.
She couldn’t figure out what he was thinking. She walked over and placed the bag on the sofa.
“I’ll return to the hospital now.”
The Alpha nodded slightly. After Stella left, he turned around.
It was just a coat Taya had worn, but it made him, who had always been decisive, hesitate.
He threw away his cigarette irritably, picked up the coat, and rubbed the fabric between his fingers.
Her scent still infused the coat, which made him reluctant to let go of her.
Realizing this, Griffon’s face darkened.
He threw away the coat and opened another pack of cigarettes irritably…
Stella hurried out of the villa. A few patients were still waiting for her to see
