Chapter 1055

Book:Surprised With Her Real Identities Published:2024-8-24

Evie shook her head, her heart undeniably stirred.
She never expected Mrs. Howlett to accept her as she was now. Her round eyes were filled with disbelief.
“Mrs. Howlett… I… I don’t want your money. And I don’t want to marry Jasper.”
“What did you say?” Mrs. Howlett, too shocked to wipe her tears, stared at Evie in disbelief. “Our family has accepted you, and you still don’t want Jasper? Evie, don’t be foolish. You’ll regret missing this chance. Jasper is a good man, loyal and without any scandalous girlfriends!”
Was Evie out of her mind?
Geoff was also surprised. “Child, you’re not well right now. We can discuss this later. The most important thing is to get better, understand?”
Jasper quickly covered Evie’s mouth with his large hand, fearing she might say something even more shocking. “Mom, you both must be tired. I’ve booked a hotel near the hospital. Please go rest. Evie might just be confused for a moment… I’ll talk to her.”
“Alright then, but you two must take care of each other,” Mrs. Howlett instructed Jasper. “Don’t turn into a heartless man!”
“Yes, yes, please go now,” Jasper said as he escorted the elders out.
Standing at the door, Mrs. Howlett looked back at the frail Evie on the hospital bed. “Evie, take care of yourself. I’ll visit you again tomorrow.”
With that, she left with Geoff.
Jasper closed the door and returned to Evie’s side. “Why are you being so foolish?”
He held her cold hand, but Evie closed her eyes. “I’m tired. I want to rest.”
She didn’t want to talk to Jasper, silently enduring her inner pain.
Some people and some things… just aren’t meant to be.
They might tolerate her flaws for a day or two, but what about a year or two? Wouldn’t they envy others with children?
It was better to be decisive.
Evie’s nose tingled with sadness. She no longer felt worthy of Jasper.
Or perhaps, she never was from the start.
He was the young master of the Gibson family, while she was just a foster daughter of the Anto Family.
An orphan with no parents.
How could she ever match up to the Gibson family’s young master?
Jasper lay down on the nearby bed, unable to sleep as he watched her tightly closed eyes.
The long night was filled with restless thoughts…
Sylvia and Franklin left the hospital and got into the car. Franklin drove but hesitated to return to the Presidential Palace.
“I’ll take you somewhere.”
Sylvia was puzzled. Did this man buy property here too?
That would make him…
A global property owner? A true tycoon.
As she pondered this, Franklin drove in the opposite direction of the Presidential Palace.
“If you don’t go back, won’t the President be angry?”
Franklin smirked, his thin lips curving into an enticing smile. “He can be angry all he wants. I’m going home; it’s none of his business.”
So he did have property here?
Sylvia thought as the car drove west until it reached a villa district.
This villa district was quite famous in Aettosa’s capital, with many wealthy and influential people owning homes here due to its serene environment and well-managed facilities. Even some celebrities chose to live here.
She didn’t expect Franklin to own a standalone villa here.
The car slowly entered the underground garage of a five-story villa. The basement was the garage. Following Franklin out of the garage, they took the elevator up. The entire first floor was a dining area and kitchen.
The second floor was for entertaining guests, the third floor was a wardrobe area, and the fourth and fifth floors were living quarters.
The decor wasn’t luxurious but was very elegant and tasteful.
When did this man arrange all this?
She found the house very much to her liking, with furniture that matched her aesthetic perfectly.
It seemed tailor-made for her.
Franklin held her soft hand, noticing her delighted expression and knowing she liked it here.
He smiled slightly. “Do you like it?”
Everything was designed according to her preferences, from the furniture style to the decor features, even down to the color of the wardrobe and bathroom design-all for her.
“I love it.” Sylvia couldn’t help but kiss his face. “When did you start this?”
“Not telling you.” Franklin’s deep eyes stared at her for a moment with an inexplicable depth before he added, “Let me show you the bedroom.”
Sylvia blushed, feeling that his words carried a hint of ambiguous intimacy.
She held his large hand as Franklin led her up the stairs step by step instead of taking the elevator.
It was only a few minutes’ walk, but he made it feel like walking down a red carpet, taking over ten minutes to reach the fourth floor from the second.
The corridor was filled with a faint fragrance that Sylvia noticed from afar. She sniffed curiously. “It smells nice.”
Franklin looked down at her with a faint smile in his eyes. “Honey… can you guess what it is?”
Sylvia shook her head, her clear eyes fixed on him. “I don’t know.”
The soft dark red carpet and dim wall lights created an intimate atmosphere.
Sylvia looked around; there were several rooms on either side of the corridor. Her beautiful eyes moved slightly as she stared at the broad back of the man in front of her, her voice carrying a hint of coyness. “Which one is the master bedroom?”
The man didn’t answer but instead kissed her lips lightly before leading her further down the corridor until they reached the end. He opened the door, and a wave of rose fragrance hit them.
Even though she had mentally prepared herself, Sylvia was still momentarily stunned.
Before her were rose petals covering the floor of a spacious room over a hundred square meters in size. A crystal chandelier adorned the ceiling, casting a soft light over everything.
Sylvia stepped into the room, staring in disbelief at everything before her.
She bit her lip like a flower petal and walked forward on her long legs.
In the center of the room was a heart-shaped red bed covered in rose petals, with a faint fragrance lingering in the air.
Soft pink curtains hung from the ceiling, draping over the bed and giving it a dreamy feel.
Before she could react, she let out a soft cry as she found herself pressed onto the soft bed by Franklin. Her body sank into it as he leaned over and kissed her lips.
The room was filled with an intoxicatingly romantic atmosphere.
Franklin’s lips were gentle yet passionate as he freed one hand to unbutton his black shirt. His fingers deftly undid each button, revealing his sexy Adam’s apple and well-defined muscles beneath.
Sylvia’s face turned red as she almost couldn’t bear to look at him, feeling her eyelids heat up.
“Be good; I’m going to take a shower.” At that moment, Franklin released her and headed towards the bathroom.
Sylvia watched him walk away and listened to the sound of running water from the bathroom. She couldn’t help but swallow as images of his muscular physique flashed through her mind.
Her heart skipped a beat at his incredible allure.
Her eyes grew hazy as she thought about how incredibly attractive he was!
Driven by an impulse, she got out of bed and pushed open the bathroom door.
The man soaking in the bathtub turned around at the sound and was immediately captivated by what he saw…
Night fell with rain pouring from a sky devoid of stars or moonlight.
But everything seemed just right.
In the morning, after a night of rain, the earth exuded a faint scent of soil.
Sylvia slowly opened her eyes, feeling sore all over.
It hurt a lot.
Indeed, overindulgence had its downsides.
Her throat felt dry and parched; she was extremely thirsty and uncomfortable.
“Water…”
She hadn’t opened her eyes but couldn’t help but moan softly.
As soon as she spoke, she heard water being poured. In no time, a glass of warm water was brought to her lips. “Were you exhausted last night?”
Franklin’s husky morning voice sounded in her ear as she slowly opened her eyes and drank deeply from the glass. After quenching her thirst, she glared at him with playful reproach. “It’s all your fault!”
Men are so tempting!
So annoying!
Franklin chuckled softly. “Didn’t you enjoy it?”
Sylvia’s face turned red as she shyly looked away and muttered weakly, “Shut up!”
“Are you embarrassed?” He leaned closer until his handsome face was inches from hers. “We’ve been married for so long; why are you still shy?”
“Go away! I’m hungry.” Sylvia quickly changed the subject to avoid further embarrassment.
“I ordered breakfast delivery; it should be here by now.” Franklin said as he walked out of the room. “I’ll go get it.”
Sylvia noticed he was wearing a black robe and looked refreshed and satisfied.
When did he get up? And he had already freshened up?
Impressive!
She admired him!
This man indeed had extraordinary stamina.
As Sylvia’s thoughts wandered wildly, she rubbed her sore waist and headed for the bathroom.
She also noticed that Franklin had cleaned up all the rose petals on the floor at some point.
After quickly freshening up, she opened the wardrobe and found that almost two-thirds of it contained her clothes while Franklin’s occupied only one-third.
No doubt, an entire floor of wardrobes must be filled with her clothes…
Had she saved an entire galaxy in her past life? The Hipps Family treated her so well, and so did Franklin…
