Chapter 51 Shameless

Book:Please Let Me Go, Mr. Sheridan Published:2024-8-20

Briar looked at Aurelia hesitantly, “Can you go to the high school reunion tonight?”
Larry reminded carefully, “We promised we’d go. You can go without drinking. Will your husband let you go?”
Aurelia rolled her eyes in disbelief, “If you mention him again, I’ll end our friendship!”
“Okay, stop talking nonsense and get to class! The next class is your husband’s class!” Liana winked at her ambiguously. Although she had many questions, the school was not a good place to talk, so she decided not to ask for the time being.
Aurelia shook her head and said, “Don’t call him my husband. Our relationship is not confirmed yet! Oh, no! Since we have already obtained the marriage certificate, he is my lawful husband.” Forget it. Aurelia went to park the scooter first.
Liana and Larry left first. When Aurelia and the other two arrived at the classroom, the classroom was almost full of people.
Fortunately, Liana saved a seat for them. When the three of them came over, they heard the two girls arguing with Larry about why he stole their seats.
Cathy went in first and sat next to Liana, then Briar sat next to Cathy, and finally Aurelia sat next to Briar and on the aisle.
She put her textbook on the desk, leaned back in her chair, and looked at the two girls who hadn’t left yet. “This seat is taken. You can go find another one. If you have a problem, suck it up!”
“Miss Sheridan, we arrived first. We just went to the bathroom, and when I came back, only to find Larry took our seats. Can you please be reasonable?” Evelyn really regretted not putting down a book to save her seat.
Aurelia sneered, “Evelyn, do you live in the bathroom? Why do you always use going to the bathroom as an excuse?” The last time she fought Aurelia for the sapphire tie clip and collar pin, Evelyn had used this as an excuse. And this time Evelyn lost her seat because she went to the bathroom again.
Evelyn’s face turned pale with anger, and she had no choice but to swallow her anger and find another seat.
As the school bell rang, the man that everyone was looking forward to walked into the classroom. He glanced at the audience as usual. Seeing a girl holding her chin and spinning a pen, he began to lecture with satisfaction.
The content of this class was scientific economics. Everyone listened attentively, including Aurelia. Suddenly, her cell phone vibrated. She glanced at Callum, who was teaching seriously and not paying attention to her, and quietly took out her cell phone.
The message stunned her. Aurelia kept her head down for a long time without moving.
In the end, she chose to type a reply. Then she put away her phone and stared blankly at the textbook, her mind filled with the words in the text message.
The text message wrote, “Aurelia, I have a flight for the day after tomorrow, will you pick me up?”
Would she go? Of course not. So she told him that she had classes all day the day after tomorrow and was not free.
The other side quickly replied, “I will arrive at Evercrest at around 3:00 pm, and I can help you with your homework. I miss you so much and want to see you.”
At this moment, her mind was so focused on the text message that she didn’t even notice when Callum on the podium walked down.
She was still typing when Callum’s voice rang in her ears.
There was a knock on the table, and then a hand reached out to her.
Crap! Callum had already said that cell phones were forbidden in his class. Aurelia instinctively put her phone in her pocket, straightened her back, and sat up straighter!
However, Callum would not let her go easily. He moved his hand towards her pocket, motioning her to hand it over.
Aurelia remembered that she was too nervous just now and put the phone in her pocket without turning off the screen. If she gave it to Callum at this moment, he would definitely see the message.
She chuckled, and in front of everyone, she pretended to know nothing and put her hand in his.
There was an uproar in the classroom. Aurelia was so bold that she actually dared to touch Callum’s hand.
The girls stared fiercely at the pair of folded hands, and each of them wished they could chop off Aurelia’s hand!
In his shocked state, Callum let go of her hand expressionlessly and continued to hold out his hand to her. What almost drove the classmates crazy was that Aurelia put her other hand in Callum’s palm.
Aurelia heard a girl cursing, “How shameless!”
Looking in the direction of the voice, she gave a cold look to the girl who was scolding her, and the girl shrank her neck in fear.
At this moment, Briar next to her did something that shocked Aurelia. He quickly took out her cell phone from her pocket and handed it to Callum.
Finally, he said, “Mr. Finnegan, Aurelia has been listening to the class carefully!”
When Callum got the phone, the screen was still on, and it was on the text message screen. He saw the content on it and then glanced coldly at the fidgeting girl, his eyes hardening. Without saying anything, he put her phone in his pocket and returned to the podium to continue the class.
It was over! Aurelia glared at Briar fiercely. Briar was a little confused, and then whispered in her ear, “You are so brave. I was so anxious that I didn’t dare to take out my phone. Though he caught you on your phone, he is your husband anyway. He will go easy on you if you give it to him. What are you afraid of?”
What was she afraid of? He saw her texting her ex-boyfriend! How would she not be afraid of it?
Worse, she was going to text, “Missing the class will get me into trouble.” When Callum stood in front of her, she just typed “Miss”. Before she could type the rest, she put her phone in her pocket. Callum would definitely think that she was going to text, “Miss you too.”
Under the desk, Aurelia took hold of one of Briar’s fingers and squeezed it hard.
Briar grimaced in pain, but couldn’t scream out.
While Callum was talking using the microphone, she whispered to Briar, “If I get punished when I go back, Briar, I will definitely tell Callum that it was you who sent me the text message!”
“What text message?” Briar suddenly had a bad feeling.
Aurelia smiled maliciously and tried to scare him. “Liam Moore is coming back. He told me he missed me and wanted to ask me out.”
“Liam is coming back? What is he coming back for?” Briar grasped the key point.
Aurelia glanced at the man on the podium, and he happened to look at her again. Their eyes met, and his eyes were full of warnings. “It has nothing to do with me!”
She said to Briar.
When Callum turned around, she added, “I didn’t save his number with his name. If Callum asks, I’ll tell him it was you who sent it!”
“What the hell?” Briar looked at her in astonishment. “Are you trying to get me killed? I really didn’t know you were texting Liam!”
