Chapter 49 Giving Him a Headache

Jim secretly felt sorry for the people in the living room.
Callum’s dreadful and domineering aura woke the five people up instantly. They started to greet him one after another.
Briar said, “Good evening, Mr Finnegan!” Holy shit! Why was Callum here?
Larry and Liana spoke up, “Hello, Mr. Finnegan!” When Larry saw Callum in the office that day, he knew that Callum and Aurelia had a complicated relationship, but he never said it.
Cathy almost screamed. “What a coincidence, Mr Finnegan!” Why would he appear in Aurelia’s villa?
A question popped up in the minds of the four people at the same time. Why did Callum appear here?
Finally, a clear voice sounded, “Callum!”
Aurelia called Callum by his first name?
The quieter the living room got, the more tense the atmosphere became. Briar’s legs began to tremble. He had never been so afraid of a person before, but at this moment, he was almost scared to death because of a man who was five or six years older than him!
After cursing in his heart many times, Briar shook her head. No! That was not the point here. The point was why Callum was at Aurelia’s house now!
Callum stared at Aurelia with a gloomy face and walked towards them step by step.
The other four people immediately tensed up their bodies and stood straight, not daring to breathe. Briar was even more cowardly, not daring to raise his head.
“Have you been drinking?” As Callum’s voice rang out, they nodded quickly.
Aurelia clutched the corner of her clothes tightly, thinking why Callum suddenly came back and how she was going to explain their relationship to everyone.
The man glanced at the dozens of empty cans on the ground and asked again, “Do you drink often?”
This question made some people nod their heads while others shook their heads.
Aurelia shook her head. She wouldn’t be stupid enough to admit it in front of Callum.
“Jim, go buy them 60 beers. No one is allowed to leave until they finish drinking them today!” His cold order threw everyone into a thrill.
Aurelia did the math in her mind quickly.
If the five of them had to drink 60 beers, that meant 12 beers per person.
Normally, Aurelia could barely finish 12 beers. And at this moment, she had already drunk 8 beers…
No way!
Aurelia’s smile froze on her face, and she couldn’t even utter a word to beg for mercy.
When Jim turned to leave, he heard Callum say, “They don’t usually get together for fun, so let’s treat them with some good beer.”
“Yes, Mr. Finnegan!” After closing the door, Jim silently wished them good luck.
Cathy was thunderstruck, and Briar fell directly on the sofa.
The other three people frozen in place.
At this moment, Aurelia felt that she should stand up for her friends.
She took a step forward and said, “Callum, it was me who threw the party and asked them to come. I’ll finish all the beers by myself, so let them go!”
Liana was about to speak up for Aurelia when Cathy suddenly grabbed her hand and shook her head quietly at her.
Cathy knew that Aurelia and Callum had a special relationship. It wasn’t a wise decision to get themselves involved now.
Callum sat down on the sofa before slowly lighting a cigarette, not intending to reply to Aurelia.
Seeing him silent, Aurelia grew more anxious, so she urged, “If you don’t say anything, I’ll take it as a yes!”
“Well, only if you can drink all the beers by yourself,” he said casually, fiddling with his phone in his hand and texting Jim, “You can go back and rest.”
“Mr. Finnegan, that’s too much for a girl like Aurelia. I’ll not leave her alone!” When Briar learned Aurelia wanted to take all the blame, his legs weren’t weak anymore, so he immediately stood up from the sofa and spoke.
Cathy followed suit. It didn’t matter what the relationship between Callum and Aurelia was. She braced herself and echoed, “Mr. Finnegan, if the two of them drank this much, they would be dead.”
Larry uttered, “We won’t let our friend face it alone.”
Liana also said, “There’s strength in numbers!”
Callum’s eyes swept over the five of them several times, and finally he said coldly, “I didn’t expect you to have such a deep relationship.”
Callum wasn’t the only one who said this. When Aurelia heard it again from Callum, she couldn’t help but feel proud. “That’s right! We are good friends!”
“You don’t have to drink.” He finally gave in.
Just as a few people were secretly delighted, Callum told Aurelia, “Go study abroad next year.”
Although he had nearly ten years of management experience, that was only for managing subordinates. He didn’t really know what to do with Aurelia, who was a college student as well as his wife.
When he said he would tutor her in person… When he saw the messy living room now and these drunkards here…
He was really troubled by Aurelia, but deep down, he didn’t want to divorce her.
If she were sent abroad, without these good friends around her, maybe she would be more mature.

At the Lee family.
Briar went upstairs with weak legs. When he saw his father, Barton Lee, he hugged him and almost burst into tears. “Dad, I swear I will never drink again next month!”
Barton, who was holding him and wanted him to go away, looked at his son curiously after hearing this. “What happened?”
“Dad! Do you usually interact with Mr. Finnegan a lot?”
“Mr. Finnegan? Callum Finnegan?”
“Yeah!” When Callum’s name was mentioned, Briar immediately let go of Barton and stood straight.
Barton looked at him in confusion. “Why did you mention him all of a sudden?”
“That man is simply… a nightmare. I really pity you old guys who have business with him!”
When he heard his son calling him an old man, he slapped him on the arm and said, “You little brat, how dare you call your father an old guy! I warn you, don’t mess with anyone like Callum, or you will be finished!”
Although Briar was afraid, he just said “tsk” coldly to save face.
Suddenly, Briar’s phonebuzzed. He took out his phone and checked the WhatsApp message. A few seconds later, he widened his eyes, stared at the screen and cursed, “Crap!”
If it weren’t for what happened tonight, he would never have believed it, but what happened tonight forced him to believe it.
