At Merak’s Cosmetics Zone.
Aurelia, Cathy, and Liana walked hand in hand in front, followed by Briar and Larry, carrying shopping bags, who looked exhausted.
Finally, Briar couldn’t help but pat the three women on the shoulders and said, “Ladies, I’ve never seen you work so hard during long-distance running. Why don’t you have any intention of taking a break when you’re shopping?”
“With your physical strength, it’s a pity your parents gave you such a tall stature.” Liana grabbed a handbag from his hand, which relieved the pressure on him.
Aurelia pointed to a counter in front. “See? We’re here. This is the last stop.”
Briar breathed a sigh of relief and clasped his hands together. “Finally!” he exclaimed.
“In return, I’ll treat you to dinner later!” Cathy raised the handbag she had just bought to show that she had money.
Briar thought of something and suddenly became excited. “I’m gonna hold you to that!”
Alioth’s building was all about food, and the restaurants on the fifth floor were luxurious, expensive, and top-notch!
“Except for Alioth on the fifth floor, the others are all fine.” Cathy’s words broke Briar’s fantasy.
The restaurants on Alioth’s fifth floor were for VIPs only. Despite customers needed to tip food servers well, chefs there would serve customers one-on-one. If one was lucky, he might encounter a Michelin chef.
Considering the cost, few people can afford to dine there.
Speechless, Briar tilted his neck, rolled his eyes, and stuck out his tongue. “Save it for yourself. Below the fifth floor, I’ll treat you to as much food as you want,” he said.
The other people were amused by his actions. Aurelia patted his shoulder and said, “We’re here. There’s a sofa over there. Sit down and take a rest.”
Three girls came to the counter and chattered. The salesperson saw a box set in Aurelia’s hand and said with a smile, “Hello, ma’am. This one is a hot item here. We only have this one left. If you like it, you’d better seize the opportunity.”
The last one…
Aurelia looked at the price tag with a distressed look. 13, 000 dollars! Should she buy it?
Briar leaned on the sofa and said silently, “Sheridan Buddy, I don’t know what you’re still hesitating about. You own a luxurious car that is worth millions of dollars, and this set only costs you a few thousand dollars! If you like it so much, just buy it!”
Aurelia said helplessly, “The car is not mine. I’m just using it temporarily!” No matter how luxurious the car was, it belonged to her husband, not her, so she had nothing to show off.
At this moment, there was a commotion not far away.
Aurelia looked up reflexively. She was shocked when she saw it.
Several people walked in from the main entrance. The man in the lead was wearing an expensive, well-cut dark custom suit that highlighted his tall figure. His dark brown leather shoes made a slight sound as they stepped on the polished marble floor.
Those deep eyes were indifferent, and the domineering and coldness emanating from his bones made people retreat some distance away.
This domineering, cool, and noble man was Callum. Beside him was a beautiful woman with fair skin and a curvy body!
It was rare to see that Callum had a woman around him, but this time he brought her out for a stroll in public. Could it be that the two of them were about to get married?
As if he had noticed her gaze, Callum glanced over. When their eyes met, Aurelia’s heart skipped a beat before she looked down at her lipstick in panic.
“Don’t see me,” Aurelian murmured.
But wait, Callum didn’t know her.
Thinking of this, Aurelia pretended to be calm and asked Cathy next to her, “Cathy, do you think this shade suits me?”
Cathy answered the question irrelevantly and tugged at her sleeve excitedly. “Aurelia, looks like you and Mr. Finnegan are destined to be together!”
This… seemed like it.
Liana asked, “Aurelia, do you know the woman next to Mr. Finnegan?”
Aurelia also wanted to know.
Briar said, “Sheridan Buddy, do you think Mr. Finnegan is here to see you?”
How could it be?
Aurelia looked at Cathy with despair. “Eww, Cathy! You’re drooling!”
Before Cathy could respond, a clear and unfamiliar voice sounded. “I don’t think you can pull off this shade. Plus, you can’t afford it.”
Aurelia looked up in confusion. Was the woman, the one next to Callum, talking to her?
Did she know Aurelia?
Aidan Monroe, with dark brown curly hair, took Callum’s arm and came in front of them. She stretched out her well-defined fingers with brown manicure and elegantly took the lipstick from Aurelia’s hand. Her lips, with the red lipstick on, parted slightly. “I’ll buy this. Pack it for me!”
After saying that, she looked at Aurelia wantonly.
At the end, she flicked Aurelia a disdainful smile. It was obvious at first glance that Aidan was a scheming woman who was good at playing innocent.
Aurelia really didn’t get what Cullam saw in her. Although Aidan was pretty, Aurelia was confident that she herself was prettier.
Aurelia flared up instantly. “What’s that look? How do you know I can’t afford it? Other than fancy clothes, what else do you have, you snob?”
Aurelia’s words were simply a slap in Aidan’s face. Aidan’s face immediately darkened. “Where did this poor girl come from? Before coming to EliteMart, she really should have known her place. Such a high-end mall is certainly no place for a poor girl like you!”
Aurelia sneered while looking Aidan up and down. “Humph, how insolent! Who do you think you are to look down on others? You surely pull off this dark green dress, because you are older. Young girls like us would never be caught dead in such a lame dress!”
Her words not only offended Aidan, but also offended Callum implicitly. Because the dress Aidan was wearing was picked out by Callum just now. Although he just pointed at it casually, it was chosen by him! Therefore, she was also indirectly saying that Callum had a bad taste.
Actually, Aidan was only 27 and a half years old this year. Though the dress she was wearing was gorgeous, Aidan didn’t look good in that dress.
Because Aidan was skinny, the dress seemed too big for her.
Simply put, anyone else might look better in it than Aidan did!
These words really irritated Aidan. As the daughter of the Monroe family, everyone would say nice things to her. No one had ever mocked her like Aurelia did!
Thinking that she had Callum behind her today, Aidan took a deep breath, turned around, and walked to Callum, looking at him pitifully, “Callum, that woman said I’m old and you had a bad taste.”
