It was extremely painful.
Rorey’s crazy insults, Morphy’s angry roar, and Yayoi’s shriek filled her ears
Rosiley covered her belly and slumped down against the desk, squatting on the floor.
Pain attacked her body from her belly, invading her limbs and her entire torso.
She could not help but shiver uncontrollably as tears fell down her face like raindrops. She was really in a lot of agonizing pain.
“Rosiley, where did you get injured?”
Yayoi ran over and squatted next to her, asking her with an anxious tone.
“Yayoi, my belly hurts.”
Rosiley lifted up her pale face and said weakly
Yayoi was terrified when she saw her pale expression. She screamed out loud, “Morphy, Rosiley is injured.”
“Rosiley, don’t be afraid, I shall call the ambulance. Don’t be afraid.”
Shivering, she took out her phone and pressed the buttons with her trembling hands. It took her a while before she dialed the 3 numbers.
She cried while she explained the situation to the person answering the call, then begged them to hurry up.
After hanging up, she hugged Rosiley’s shoulders, allowing her to lie in her arms. She grabbed Rosiley’s hands, giving her the strength to endure the pain.
Morphy never beat women. However, today was an exception.
How could he stay out of this when he had seen his sister-in-law being bullied by Rorey in front of him?
After pulling Rorey away, he slapped Rorey forcefully before he could even check on her sister-in-law. Rorey fell on the ground due to the impact.
Seeing Rorey lying on the ground motionlessly, he smirked. “Rorey, you shouldn’t be so outrageous. If you hadn’t harbored evil thoughts, your child would still be alive and your contract wouldn’t have been canceled. In the end, you brought this upon yourself.”
After he spoke, he turned around. As he glanced at Rosiley’s pale face, his brows twisted into a frown.
He walked over briskly and squatted down. Ignoring his back injury, he lifted Rosiley up.
Then, he walked briskly out of the office, with Yayoi following closely behind.
His secretary and assistants all stood up when they saw him walking out with a woman in his arms, throwing curious glances at him.
“Little Lin, call the police. Let them take the woman in my office away.”
As he walked forth, Morphy ordered.
Secretary Lin responded in agreement before picking up the phone to make a police report.
Rosiley was sent into the operating theatre.
Yayoi sat on the long bench as she stared intensely at the light which signaled the ongoing operation. Her arms were tightly crossed in front of her chest to hide the fear and uncertainty in her heart.
Rosiley would definitely be fine as she was the kindest soul she had ever seen.
She comforted herself.
She would definitely be fine.
After making a call, Morphy turned around and saw her worried expression. Blinking, he walked over and sat next to her.
“Our sister-in-law is such a strong and brave soul, she will definitely be fine.”
He whispered to her.
Turning around, Yayoi forced her lips into a smile. “Yes, Rosiley will definitely be fine.”
Morphy gave her a comforting smile before caressing her hair gently.
There were sounds of rushing footsteps ringing in the quiet hallway. Morphy turned towards the direction of the noise and saw Corey and Ying Xiaoxiao running over.
“What exactly happened?” Ying Xiaoxiao was blunt and direct.
“Xiaoxiao…” Seeing her good friend, Yayoi couldn’t help but tear up.
