Meanwhile, Aufdzek was trying to get out of the palace. He ran in any direction to avoid being caught by the witches who had entered there.
How could they all be directly in the castle but not be detected? They must have done magic because it would not be like this if it were an ordinary human. Where else should I go so as not to be caught by those witches? Thought Aufdzek, frightened.
Where is Alexa? If she were killed, then it would be over! I believe that this girl could not have been caught so quickly, especially with her excellent magical abilities, thought Brazam. The High Priest had already killed many soldiers with the death curse.
That young lady that the High Priest was looking for appeared to the left of the red-robed man. The older man, who was still healthy, was relieved. Now, both of them were fighting against the soldiers coming toward where they stood.
“Where have you been, Miss?” asked Brazam, worried.
“I chased Aufdzek, but he ran away,” answered Alexa, who was trying to catch her breath. Revenge had taken over the girl, so she could not wait to find the target, so she could make that man a sacrifice for the Goddess Magia.
“Where did that man run off to?”
“I do not know, but I need to get Aufdzek, Master.”
As the fighting intensified, the witches spread out and killed the men, most of whom were soldiers. When they captured the women and children, they were all locked up in the dungeon. The prisoners’ roars, screams, and cries came from there, begging to be released.
“You must search for Aufdzek! If you find that man, bind him to the altar of their god outside the palace!” Brazam gave orders to the witches around him because he remembered the orders from the Goddess Magia, which had to be carried out as soon as possible
“Yes, High Priest!”
The witches began to split up. They were intent on hunting down the descendant of Droitzon, who had long since ascended the throne. The man targeted to be sacrificed to the Queen of Witches managed to escape outside the palace but was still in the courtyard area because it was so large. The palace gates were closed about five kilometres away, shrinking the man’s guts.
I need to get out of here! Forgive me, Erdzu, Milzth, and Wrioth, for leaving you in the castle. May the God of Brazakh save you so that you can escape death, Aufdzek thought, panting.
A man with green eyes and red hair saw a tall, well-built man in the distance. As soon as possible, he teleported to intercept the fugitive, who was about to escape.
This time, Goddess Magia is with us. You are indeed cursed humans because you have taken away all the rights that belong to wizards. The ancient prophecy was fulfilled so we can return to where we belong! Thought a male witch saw Aufdzek.
The red-haired man appeared in front of his opponent and charged straight at him. Aufdzek tried his best to fight back, but his body was so tightly pinned that he could not move at all. That male witch began to cast a spell, making the target feel like it was tied tightly with a rope.
Brazam, Alexa, and the others saw from a distance that a man had managed to grab someone. “Perhaps the one just captured is a descendant of Droitzon? Alexa, prepare to perform the ritual!” The silver-haired man reminded the Chosen One.
“Yes, Master,” said the intelligent girl. She harboured a deep hatred for Aufdzek.
“I already to get this despicable human!” shouted the green-eyed man.
“My words have come true. Good job, Shaltz! Put him on the altar table!” The High Priest gave the order to the interlocutor.
“Yes, High Priest!” Shaltz replied happily, having been praised by Brazam.
Tears fell from both of Aufdzek’s cheeks. A man with a thick beard could not believe his end was so close, even sooner than expected.
O, Lord Brazakh, if this is the fate the ancestors brought about, I accept, though unwillingly. Please, take care of my wife and children and save them. Let me be the victim; as long as they survive, he prayed silently.
The red-haired man shouldered the target. The look on that male witch’s face was indeed happy, as he was about to witness a historical event in his life, and that of all witches.
Goddess Magia, thank you for making me come here and fight to fulfil the legendary curse for the human race. It is an honour to be able to bring an offering to you where Miss Alexa will perform the ritual, Shaltz thought.
Once in the destination area, as soon as possible, Shaltz placed the victim on the altar and then took out the rope he had taken during the battle in the palace. He tied Aufdzek’s hands and feet to the altar table’s side so the human could not escape. Brazam’s entourage arrived there. The chestnut-haired girl was thrilled as she was about to make a living sacrifice to the Goddess of Witchcraft.
Alexa took a step forward, then took out a dagger from under her shirt. The sharp-nosed woman looked up at the sky, where the full moon was shining beautifully and powerfully. “O Goddess Magia. This is me, Alexa Jocelyn Heart. I come to offer sacrifice, as you ordered. Which part should be pierced first?” she asked.
“Pierce the man’s heart and plunge it deep!” An unfamiliar voice echoed.
All eyes looked up to the sky and saw an immortal goddess standing floating and not too far away from the altar table. Without further ado, all the witches, including the High Priest, bowed down until their faces touched the ground in respect.
“Yes, Goddess Magia,” said the beautiful girl.
Aufdzek looked at Alexa as if asking for mercy for the girl he had wanted to kill. But the girl ignored this. The witch’s hands were already holding daggers, slowly stabbing toward the heart and plunging into the complex. That man widened his eyes as if enduring excruciating pain. Blood oozed from the area pierced by the Chosen One, and Goddess Magia grinned creepily at the sight. “Die you, Aufdzek.”
