Chapter 123. The Blessing

Book:Alexa The Dark Witch Published:2024-8-20

Inside the temple of Goddess Magia, in the library room, to be precise,
“Is there anything else you see, Miss?” Brazam called the chestnut brown-haired girl ‘Miss’ again, even though Alexa had not asked for it.
“No, I do not see anything else, teacher. Is there anything else I can do now?” Alexa did not mind the greeting. She continued to respond politely to everything the other person said, so Brazam saluted her attitude.
“Good. Then, are there any other questions before we move on to the next subject?” The black-robed man gave the opposite sex a chance to ask a question if she had one. However, that intelligent girl remained silent for a long time and shook her head.
“I do not think there are any questions for now, Master.” The tall woman had yet to come up with an idea to ask the High Priest.
“Alright then.”
This time, it was Brazam who fell silent. Despite being over a hundred years old, the older adult, who was still fit, realized that Lord Utzkah’s defeat was not asking Goddess Magia’s blessing first.
Alexa’s question about asking our lady for a blessing has opened my eyes to not be rash in my actions, especially when going to war. I do not want to fail. The silver-haired man thought that the legendary curse must be fulfilled for the return of the witches’ glory.
Alexa observed the teacher’s face, which seemed to be thinking. The sight confused the one-hundred-and-eighty-centimeter-tall woman, but she remained silent as if she did not want to disturb the opposite sex.
What was wrong with the High Priest? Why is he silent? I wanted to ask, but I was reluctant. If there is a big war, can I ask everyone who has ever done me a favor to stay alive? Without them, I would not have been able to survive in the orphanage for so long. Hopefully, Goddess Magia would approve. Alexa hoped in her heart, though she had not openly expressed it to the Queen of Witches.
“Miss Alexa. The lesson is over. Before you return to your room, we must ask for the blessing of the Goddess Magia to accomplish whatever is to be done. Let us go to the shrine room.” Brazam invited the student, and the young lady nodded. She seemed surprised by the information conveyed but did not want to contradict the interlocutor’s words.
Yes, Master,” said the girl obediently.
Brazam and Alexa left the library and made their way to the shrine room. After the student had completed the mind control, the High Priest’s heart was happy. However, the man respected by the witches still needed the blessing of the Goddess of Witchcraft, especially considering the failure of the previous king, which left the witches, fairies, werewolves, and mermaids destroyed and many of them living separately.
When they arrived at their destination, the black-robed man moved straight to the altar table. Brazam took the incense box placed there, then lit the fire with a spell. Alexa just observed what her teacher was doing. The granddaughter of Sir Elmer Louis Writh and Madame Phoenix Lily Katira preferred to remain silent as if waiting to be told by the teacher.
On the altar table are roasted meat, tricolor candles, fruits, cakes, and garlic. The High Priest placed the food on separate plates. Brazam replaced all the old offerings with new ones, so a fresh offering was at the foot of Goddess Magia’s image. The man lit a lamp to show respect for the Moon Goddess.
May Goddess Magia come and answer my prayers because I need her answers and blessing. Brazam had full hope in that immortal Goddess.
The High Priest began to take the copper bowl with a wide rim, then surrounded the statue so that all sides were smoked. Once done, the man’s lips moved, chanting an incantation. Alexa kept a close watch on everything that was being done.
As soon as possible, the atmosphere in the room changed, making the young girl shudder, but she dared not say anything. Meanwhile, the older man standing nearby, who was the leader of the witches, noticed something strange, so Brazam took five steps back.
“Why do you calling me, my loyal servant?” A mystical voice could be heard there as well. Even Alexa could hear it.
Brazam paid his respects. After he finished, he said, “I ask for the blessing of Goddess Magia so that I can fulfill everything Lord Utzkah has said. May the Goddess please instruct us as to what we should do?”
“Alexa must make a large amount of the removal potion and start today. When everything is ready, gather the villagers in the field as soon as possible and announce that they will attack the kingdom. Those who can teleport and transfigure should not receive potions because it is only for witches who cannot do both, so that the potions protect them. At the latest, everything I ordered must be completed three days from now!”
“Can we cast a spell to kill each other in the palace so that the situation will be chaotic? Aufdzek has ordered troops to search for the Chosen One,” suggested Brazam.
“Do it. You must make Aufdzek a living sacrifice and render that man’s body immobile with a freezing spell. Make the full moon the day the curse is fulfilled!” That immortal Goddess approved of the High Priest’s idea.
“Thank you, Goddess,” said the man who had always faithfully healed the Mother of Witches.
Alexa was still silent, amazed by the sight. Throughout her time at the temple, the virgin had rarely seen Goddess Magia in person like she was now. She was surprised to find that the woman with three faces was now gazing at her.
“Alexa Jocelyn Heart, your mother and father are still alive. They languish, unable to see you. If you want them to live and reunite as a family, pierce Aufdzek’s heart for me on the full moon!” Goddess Magia gave that order to the chosen person since the girl was still in Lavena’s womb.
“I have never killed anyone directly, let alone using a tool, Goddess.” Alexa did not resist but simply relayed what she had experienced.
As Tristian Varden Writh and Lavena Isolda Keira’s eldest child was terrified, the woman approached with three pairs of hands. The immortal woman handed over a dagger, which Alexa graciously accepted. “Use this and do as I command.”
Goddess Magia disappeared as soon as possible after handing the weapon to the Chosen One. The sharp-nosed woman blinked several times as the object given to her was accurate and did not disappear from her palm.
“I can’t believe this is real.” That was all Alexa said. Her face looked both confused and excited.
Brazam, observing the scene, took five steps forward and picked up the bokor. The silver-haired man returned to fumigating the three sides of the statue just as he had done at the beginning. When he was done, the High Priest walked to the altar table and placed the incense holder.
The one hundred and eighty-three-year-old man looked at Alexa, still holding the dagger given by the Goddess of Witchcraft. “Let us go to the potion-making room, Miss Alexa. The ancient prophecy must be fulfilled, and a great war must occur.”
